1. Ive just got a tt fuel rail and injectors. Will they fit my na for when i go turbo?>
2. just bagged an intercooler on ebay for 50quid, quite a good make these are the specs i guess: specifications: connection radius (in mm) 60,00 net size (in mm) 550 x 230 x 65 total dimension (in mm) 700 x 230 x 65 colour Alu polished maximum pressure (in psi) 45,00 charge air entry bar and plate weight (in kg) 6,16
3. Your car looks lush. I think you should come and help do my build with me and take me for a spin in your car!
4. Spot on had a good play with a stock tt that my friend owns, definitely advise going bpu if you can. If you have a garage with a ramp or pit that i dont know about then you would be a legend, or can map a car
5. Cheers. I think it is going to be the cheapest na-t build ever with the generosity of soo many members on here How is your car? Did you go tt in the end or na i cant remember.
6. Also whilst at DynoDaze the lovely Rich gave me a tt fuel rail and injectors for my na-t build. What a top bloke. So that is another item ticked off the list and the budget untouched.... Going to polish the fuel rail up and clean the injectors etc, possibly replace the rubber seals if needed.
7. Collected my piggyback ecu from Viper today and he threw in the K and N air filter for free. Top bloke, also had a good look at the project he is building.
8. Had my car dynoed today and very happy with the results:
9. No fussed either way. Great base for going Na-t over the next few weeks
10. I was wrong so deleted.
11. Just went to had my car power tested before all the na-t work starts on her over the next few weeks. Pretty dam impressed with the results considering it is just a decatted car!
12. Mine isnt i dont think. But i have all of the optional extras in mine from factory.
13. I have only ever heard of stock ecu failures with sw20 mr2s. Also can someone confirm if i need to plug in the manifold pressure sensor if im running the ecu on the na for the time being.....
14. Its a piggyback ecu, Im going to map the stock na with bigger injectors to learn how to do it, then ill be ready to map once i go single turbo...
15. I havent even installed the ecu yet, nor did i realise there was an ecu forum I will be running mapcal on my mac using wine to run the .exe file. Then i will be using a usb serial convertor.
16. Can someone point me to the correct files for my map-ecu (ecu) It is the original ecu not 2 or 3. I need the base ap for a non turbo car, which one is it from this list: http://www.mapecu.co.nz/2013/01/base-tables/ And i need the wiring diagram and there are 2 ge options, i assume i am choosing the jdm one: http://www.mapecu.co.nz/2013/01/wiring-diagrams/
17. Ok so today was out in the Supra picking up some bits to got turbo and the steering started feeling a bit weird. It is almost as if the front wheels are running in tracks, like skates, its a bit as if i can point the front end in one direction and the car will do that. I know that is kind of what the car should feel like but it feels very different today. The tyres are all ok, nothing has happened to the car and the front arms were more than fine a couple months ago when nat at dynodaze had a bar trying to move them all about. Can anyone shed any light.... The steering also possibly feels a bit lighter but i may just be imagining it.....
18. Better flowing intake can help like an upgraded forced ram. Then getting rid of of both under silencers and both cats and a manifold will help loads. Then meth. And that's about it in my opinion.
19. I reckon 20bhp for 1000quid
20. Been told a boost controller is a must by someone. Is this true, would it not be a good idea to have the wastgate set to 7psi, hoping thats ok for stock na engine, then set then boost controller aswell just in case one were to fail.>
21. Ah that is massive effort may not bother.....
22. Just wondering if this can be moved to the project thread now as the car will be undergoing na-t work starting tomorrow.
23. Ok thanks. So am i right in thinking that just fitting a 7psi wastegate should do the job then?
