  6. Becuase i want to do the work myself but just dont have a garage or driveway to do it on. Id do it roadside but with the time of year it is its not really suitable......
  7. Is that a lot of boosting and town driving? As i get 19mpg round town at the moment and 30mpg on motorway at the moment....
  8. Still looking for some help in the next couple of weeks. Just need somewhere dry where i can get help fitting the front mount and drilling the oil pan. Anyone that can help would be an absolute star!!
  9. Turns out the ecu is faulty! Total nightmare but getting it sorted. Thor are excellent as are their customer service!
  10. Car been to Thor today to have the ecu fitted. All went well with the installation, however there is a misfire on the 6th cylinder when the ecu isnt bridged off. Pete is concerned that the ecu is faulty, but is going to check that the aem is passing out a signal to the injector on 6th cylinder and the stock ecu is running fine. So the car has been left overnight with them and they gave me a courtesy car for free He is going to do some work with an oscilloscope tomorrow to work out what is going on.
  11. Ok i have a couple members on here willing to give me a hand with my car. The problem is the nights are getting shorter and the weather is very unpredictable. So this is where the big ask is. Is there someone west midlands area where a few of us could come and work on my car, if you have a suitable space. The jobs to be done are fit the intercooler and drill the oil pan for the oil return. Payment in bacon and tea can be arranged somehow
  12. Im using 2.5" so i can go down through the wing. I want to use as much metal pipe as possible and then joiners. But im hapy for the joiners to be the bends....
  13. This will be on of the jobs for my car in the future. Full brand new oem suspension and everything out and a respray. Just need a good few k to do it
  14. Ok so i have got an intercooler that is 2.5" in and out. Im going to use 2.5" piping so i can go through the wing then 3" to the turbo itself. Has anyone actually taken measurements of pipe needed silicone joiners, amount of couplers needed etc etc. Had a look at some photos and thats helped a bit but a really indepth few would be good of one car or something Thanks in advance
  15. I need a huge favour. Does anyone live near cov with a car port or garage I could use for a bit today/later. I need to prep my car for going to Thor tomorrow and can't because it's raining!
  16. Was it the back spark plugs that were wet? If so check the water pipe at the back of the engine. If there is water on the plugs and your loosing coolant thats a different problem all together.
  17. On a red car i think they just work better. I have clear sides but the front needs to be orange imo.
  18. Thanks to rob_siri i now have a lovely looking car Orange indicators finally acquired and installed! Also 'touch wood' my bonet mod has worked as the misfire isnt there today and it rained all last night
  19. Yer it's made by wiltec. Supposed to be one of those subsidiary companies that gets products debadged but not too sure if that's true. Either way everything I read about them was spot on and can't complain for the money.
  20. Yer the car is getting resprayed anyway after the conversion to na-t so i will mask the bonnet off and rattle can the the mesh and metal. Will do it tomorrow if i get chance. Will good rattle matt black take to galvanised steel or will i need to prime first as the plate isnt coming back off of the car again now. Tiger seal is mean!!!!
  21. Also as many of you may be aware the dam bonnet on my car has been allowing water into the top section of the spark plug chambers and causing them to short giving me a misfire. With the bad weather coming i decided to have a crack at a solution to it. First i had to dry the spark chambers out with the other halfs hairdryer Then this is a pic of the 'fix' from the outside. I have sealed the very top and angled the sides to persuade water to run down past the front of the engine. Its galvanised steel so wont rust and i dont think it affects the visuals too much, but i will make a decision on bonet after i complete my na-t build.
  22. Well here are the pics of the intercooler i got for 50quid Rated to 400hp so plenty for my build need. Been told that with stock na injectors 380 is probably the absolute best i could hope for.
  23. He has been helping by pm's already Very helpful guy!
