    17" tyres

Was struggling to find somewhere near by where I can just grab one. Only place that did have some were wanting 80quid a tyre and that's not a whole way off new prices. I'll look again today though thanks

Cheers dude. I'll take if I can get one more tyre. Like I said just a couple weeks till mine come in

    17" tyres

Thanks :/ No they have 4mm in total. Half has been used. I'm only road mapping a small Nat setup. But I can see the weather being an issue. But I need the car back on the road.

    17" tyres

Just wondering if anyone has some 17" stock rears tyres. I have some on back order but my car is being mapped Saturday on the road and doubt there will be much of the 3/4mm tread left that I have after. (Unless I'm wrong) Just need some to tide me over till my new ones arrive so part worn are fine
  5. Awesome U going to have this fitted for the rr day? I'm hoping to have mine running for then too
  6. Im pretty sure the resonators are just sounds related are they not? It is just a hard pipe now so i guess that does give the air a 'smoother' path. If i had the spare cash i would dyno it before the turbo gets strapped to it to compare to the one i had done the other week just for fun....
  7. Surface is really good, its a usual foot down location and the tires were nicely warmed up. But either way it is a nice step in the right direction before the turbo goes on in the next couple of days
  8. haha yer probably wrong term. But you can see in that video i spin the wheels up in second under acceleration at the top of the gear and that was on dry tarmac.
  9. Yer savage is a bit extreme i suppose, but from a rolling start in second there is a considerable difference. Not really sure what to compare it too other than my mr2 as thats all i've had. Here is a vid anyway (Done on a track) http://s588.photobucket.com/user/langers_2004/media/2014-01-21091342_zpsf7371551.mp4.html
  10. Put it into the silicone joiner on the intake.
  11. Yer guessing it's a combination of all the small changes. Making the turbo waiting even more difficult!
  12. One of these.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RAMAIR-13mm-Breather-filter-Oil-Crankcase-Air-100-MADE-IN-THE-UK-By-RAMAIR-/271214537851?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f25a56c7b But they do loads of filters and cones for itb's etc, my friends over in the sierra powered kitcar world swear by ramair stuff..
  13. Im guessing its just as simple as the exhaust was already really free flowing after changing it and putting the huge filter on and weather temps dropping have just combined to make an actual noticeable difference. Yer they are really tightly woven plastic thread. Work pretty well or have done for me in the past.
  14. It is massive. Looks the same as some of the ones off of 1100bhp monsters Looks funny though! Yer just strange the filter has made such a difference. - - - Updated - - - Its a ramair filter, used them in the past on bikes and my mr2 so went with what i know
  15. Mine has a custom made exhaust so sounds really nice and isnt overly loud. The filter was less than 2 years old and running a stock airbox. The car also just made over 200bhp on the dyno so is healthy before the changes...
  16. Ok well i used a title that i knew would attract people Basically just wanted to check something regarding my car. Im in the middle of a turbo conversion but have had to stop as i couldn't drill the sump the other day. so instead so have just fitted some of the parts as i have sold the na versions. Ok so my car is running an AEM FIC6 that is currently just passing the standard signal straight out, it no longer has the silencers under the car or either of the cats. Both of these mods were done before today. (that bits important) Today i fitted the cam breather filter and a ridiculously huge K and N filter, the sort of thing that makes you laugh because its just soo stupid. Anyway why in gods name has my car got soo much quicker? Induction kits are just for fun and a bit of loud noise, or coupled with the other things has it actually made the car better? Im being deadly serious, it feels as savage as my 300bhp mr2! :-o Anyway here is a pic for you all to laugh at:
  17. Ah thats a good fit. Thanks for the picture. Can someone just confirm to put my mind at rest that the coolant system will operate properly where i have placed it for the time being.
  18. Ah fair enough. So basically exactly what i have already done but on the other side. So i take it, it works perfectly fine fitted lower down.
  19. That is the plan or a slim one behind the back of the intercooler. But for the time being the car needs to be used. There are no kinks in the hose from the rad and the expansion tank is lower than the rad so i assume functioning wise this will be fine?
  20. I have just fitted my intercooler and for the time being the car is going to be used non turbo until i get the space to drill the pan. My question is i couldnt fit the expansion tank in the original place. So other than access being a bit annoying is there any reason why placing it here would cause the system to not work correctly?
  21. Awesome. What size is the gauge in the clock place?
  22. To be honest i would be happy with just bog standard aluminum ones and ill paint them up. If i paid for the materials, would you be interested in making me a couple up?
  23. Brill thanks. I will look for that chrome paint! What would you want to make me up a couple of those boxes, if you would?
  24. Did u make the box sections that cover master cylinder etc. Also what paint did u use? Looks really nice
