  1. mr20c has a really in depth buying guide
  2. This car is now up for sale. I will be making a proper for sale thread for her later today. The car now however is in need of a bumper respray as whilst i was away someone has obviously dinged it very lightly and put those little hairline cracks in it. She also needs a new head gasket, as it is using oil and the compression is down, however this is an ideal time to fit the tt headgasket allowing you to have that little more boost. Anyway if anyone reads this before the sale add goes up then message me
  3. Well its finished and all mapped up. Modified the acis valve so it no longer functions which has stopped the weird noises through the knockbox at high rpm. Clutch is holding really well par the horrible noise pulling from first but im just going to live with it as daily driving is lovely. The wastegate wouldnt quite hold the boost low enough so i fitted a restrictor ring which is holding the boost perfectly. Lyndon also put a fuel cut in place should the boost decide to spike. A new wastegate is on the list of things to do but at the moment this work around is perfect. I know have a horrible vibrating exhaust as it has shifted allowing the downpipe to touch the bulkhead so i need to have this modified or a flexi fitted. Other than these couple of niggles the car is amazing. Pulls like an absolute train and my jspec dials can no longer keep up at all. Ill get a vid up when i can and also one of me and a carrera 2 having a play, which he lost Absolutely would recommend Lyndon to anyone that needs their car mapping. The man is a genius!
  4. I agree the right colour and fitted properly it could look better. It's angled down which looks odd. Plus the supra doesnt have a spoiler so looks stupid already
  5. That is the plan. But the cost is an issue so wont be for a few months as had a fair amount of small niggles to sort that mounted up to a lot. So if i can get a restrictor ring to reign in the boost the map can be tweaked and that will be that done. Then when i get a new wastegate i can just bolt it on and go.
  6. The bottom port is open. The one on te side has a feed from the compressor housing.
  7. I do already but the car is still trying to boost more and getting up to around 10psi. I've stripped the wastegate and rebuilt and that is all fine, so the next option is to restrict the exiting exhaust gas.
  8. Dam I will have to work something else out then. I will see if a garage will let me use a pillar drill for half hour or something and then i can file everything down at home.
  9. No i dont. Worse thing is it was two different people!
  10. I bought some sheet steel. But... Someone borrowed by angle grinder, never gave it back, same with my drill. So it would be an expensive job buying everything.
  11. Do you have access to the tool for cutting one for me yet? Then i will hope that i dont have to file it too much!
  12. Hmm I have no idea what size to try though. I guess i could just buy the smallest size that you mentioned before and see how that effects boost. Then it will be easier to make an educated guess as to what size i need (if it needs altering further) - - - Updated - - - Hmm I have no idea what size to try though. 13. Because im trying to hold boost at 0.6bar as its an na-t.
  14. Could someone with the tools required please make me a restrictor ring. Ideally i need a few as im not quite sure which size i will need. I am going to place it in the 3" downpipe. So ideally i would like the interior diameter to start at say 1.75" going up to 2.5" in increases of 2 or 4mm. If someone can help that would be great.
  15. My downpipe has 3 ports. 2 are blanked off and one has a lambda sensor in. I have deleted one of the lambda sensors as running a piggyback and am not running a wideband.
