  1. What makes me laugh is when I can eventually overtake and they speed up! Stupid people clearly think "oh a silly boy racer with a loud exhaust I will just speed up he will stand no cha..." *VROOOOOOOOOOM!* "Pr!ck" *flash flash flash* (obvious jealousy)
  2. I do have a boost gauge fitted. I remember it working fine and the boost reading as it should but I will test it again to be sure. If it is a problem with the auto box would I not get problems at other times? I was thinking that it was the turbos taking their time to spool up. But I'm guessing that wrong. I will check everything you've listed and I will check out that link posted in the next comment as well.
  3. That's exactly what I'm having. What's VSV? And how do I fix/check it?
  4. Doesn't have any hesitation if I plant my foot anywhere between 0-60 It accelerates past 70+ as normal
  5. This has happened a few times now and I only really get to test it on motorway drives which I don't do many of at the moment. But I noticed a intermittent problem. When I am cruising along at 80 or 70 for a while and then I put my foot (almost) flat down the car revs up and changes gear if needs be but it doesn't seem to have the power there. It does accelerate but it's a little juddery up until 90 then it's normal after that to go up the speed. But if I go from a much lower speed like 30 it goes past 70-80-90 without a problem. It literally only happens if I have been cruising for a little while sticking at that one speed and sometimes it just doesn't do it at all. I noticed it being a problem when some bloke was sitting so far up my arse I could smell his farts and I put my foot down to get away but he didn't exactly disappear like I expected :/ I should point out my car is a completely stock TT VVTI and you will see in my signature.
  6. I bought mine from SPG who has the be the worlds luckiest owner of rare/ most wanted supra parts
  7. I've got a RSR exhaust on mine which I believe only a few members have. They aren't being made anymore
  8. 22 and I was earning a decent wage for my age, compared to my mates, £1500 a month. I don't own a house and I don't have kids so I am spending my money on a supra. I also had no savings and I was £3000 in debt when I got a loan £6500 loan out for one. I was paying debts off £500 a month as well. Basically if you get a late supra in excellent condition you won't need a big chunk of savings. Especially if you maintain it properly. There is a ridiculous amount of knowledge on this forum so if something does go wrong. As long as you can get your hands on some tools you can fix almost anything out of a months wage without screwing yourself over.
  9. What was the intercooler you used? Was it a "eBays own" as such? I'm cautious of going to eBay for my parts as its so strongly recommended to stay away. Would be nice if someone else does actually have some technical data to post up so I can make a well informed decision as to what I think will be best for my needs and car
  10. Good point to consider really
  11. Doesn't the same apply to SMIC when it comes to masking the IC? How does a SMIC allow for a more effective airflow THROUGH the IC than compared to a FMIC? From what I've seen on my supra I have a SMIC as standard and it doesn't look like its got a great deal of it being exposed to decent airflow. (I'm still learning about surpas and only been a military mechanic for a year. please bear with my lack of knowledge)
  12. Thanks guys. I'll look into both of those. I'm wanting a FMIC because I like the look of the pipes at the front. Is there any differences in performance with SMIC vs FMIC?
  13. I'm looking for a decent FMIC that can handle BPU. I have seen a few around, but I'm unsure as to a few things. - whats the biggest size intercooler can I fit with no extra modifications? - are FMIC pretty straight forward to fit? (I.e. bolt on - done) - what are your opinions on a mishimoto intercooler? I'm going to buy BPU bits slowly so that next year I can wack them all on, tell the insurance and afford the increase of it!
  14. This is getting ridiculous. It's as if the public are suddenly against supras and want to smash them up! Why do people insist on being crap drivers and damaging nice cars. Pure jealousy! Think I'm going to get cameras installed in my supra! Argh! I was annoyed already and this just adds to it haha
  15. I met a few of you on the way up. Can't remember everyone's name. I'm so bad for that. But when I got there I was pretty anti social and me and my bud went to have a look about as it was our first time there. Seeing if there was any fitties Then when we got back you'd all disappeared from your cars. Ah well
  16. Mine was totally filthy too :/ you weren't alone. Me and you both let everyone down ha! Felt bad sat next to Listy Didn't realise how many single turbos there are!
