  1. So from what I've gathered every Sunday there is a meet in front of TK Max in Cribbs but on the last Sunday of every month the meet is at its biggest. Is there anyone from here going? Be good to meet a few of you as I'm still pretty new to the supra community.

  8. Not sure if you'll remember, was it completely stock but with big exhaust? If so then that was me I don't stay long, don't know anyone there and I just head up to see if there are any other Supras, and to perv on some of the Skylines.
  9. Happens every Sunday from what I've seen. If the weather is nice then its a better turn out. Be nice to see another Supra up there.
  10. Ah right, not far from me really. I'm in Headley Park, Just off the Hartcliff way.
  11. Welcome fellow bristolian what part you from?
  12. Seen a post about a low idle on a UK spec so I guessed it would be different on a Jspec supra. Mine idles at around 300rpm once it's warmed up. Is this normal? It doesn't seem to be having any performance problems at all. I read that it should be at just over 1000rpm once first started before eventually dropping to 700rpm. I'm not sure on exact figures but I know my rpm is much lower than anything i've read. Apologies if this is a re-post but I couldn't find anything in the search.

    under car neons?

Maybe they do.. But I can't imagine it would last very long
  14. It won't really cost you much more if you do all that anyway. It's really just the fuel that will cost you a lot. You will get a happy right foot no doubt. Especially if you have never had a turbo before like me. I don't think it's possible to drive the supra and not put your foot down when you see a nice straight bit of road ahead of you.
  15. Oil changes every 3000 miles, or at least I will (only just bought mine) and if you can't or won't do it yourself then it's going to cost a fair bit. You never buy the cheap parts like you do with normal shitty cars, everything has to be at least very good if not top of the range if you want to get the best out of the supra and keep it running well. Tyres, I've been told are almost £200 per corner :/ depending on how high a standard you are willing to go. They are ZR speed rated so not cheap. Servicing if you don't do it yourself will cost you loads, you should only be getting the best parts for the car. Of course you can get cheaper parts and I'm sure people will and swear by how they are just as good. But would you rather not be sure of quality? You buy cheap, you get cheap. Over all it's the fuel to be honest. I've gotten through almost £100 a week since having it. But that's because I have no other car and I'm currently at home on leave from work, so I get bored easily and want to have a drive in my shiny new toy
  16. This is my car. Can anyone distinguish if this actually is Gunmetal or Quicksilver? I've already looked on the VIN and found the code but I can't find anything that tells me its the same code for the 2000 models.
  17. Is the Quicksilver colour on Supra's a reasonably popular/rare colour? 1B9 my code and is the code for 1998 Supra's for Quicksilver. Does anyone know if this is different for 2000 models? I quite like the Lamborghini Grigio but I don't want to change it if Quicksilver isn't all that common anymore.
  18. The code is 1B9 which, according to the 1998 chart on here, is Quick Silver Metallic Clearcoat. My supra is 2000, will the codes be the same?
  19. I quite like cars that stand out and I hate when people take stock cars that have something quite rare and different about them because of being designed like that by the manufacturer and change it to look like all the other stock cars of its type. I believe it's gunmetal, but I'm not expert. I'll have to get it checked by someone who knows. If its rare and sort after then I will keep its stock colour. Last thing I want to do is devalue it.
  20. I need to have some paintwork done to my supra which is a gunmetal gray. However I'm not a big fan on gray/silver. I prefer a nice blue or black. What I want to know is: is it a sin to take away the gunmetal gray? I know ultimately it's my car but how rare and widely liked in the gunmetal gray? Will it be frowned upon if I change the colour?
  21. I know this reply is coming quite a long time after the previous one but just an update on the leaving the car running. I have family in the police force and wanted to check this information. It turns out it is illegal to leave the car running whilst the keys are still in the ignition. The offence is called 'Quitting'. That may just be a term the police use though. The police themselves have a system in place called 'run lock' to keep their cars running without the keys in the ignition so that they can run their lights whilst static without draining the battery. A little bit of extra info - If you leave your car running with the keys in the ignition and you have a passenger in the car then they must hold a full UK driving licence otherwise it is still considered illegal. Unless the fire brigade have updated their vehicles to have run locks then they are the only people/organisation that are exempt from this law.
  22. One day you'll be a good enough driver to crack it. Just keep up the practice
  23. This is my lovely new VVTI TT Supra (Sasha) First Supra I have owned and I am pretty chuffed to be able to afford her at 22. Been my dream car since a friend of mine showed me them online. Are there any other Supra owners around the Bristol area?
