  1. Yeah I realised if you bought it already then it couldn't have been the one I know. I would have been told. Nice buy though
  2. I was yes but then I read the other posts. I'm really lazy sometimes.
  3. They must loose their value once in the uk then. My 2000 auto cost me £7000. Low mileage and totally standard, well maintained by what I saw as well. Didn't realise they were that rare over here :/
  4. Just make a turbo sound with your mouth. Will probably sound better and guaranteed at least 30bhp more, if you add a dump valve sound then it will give an extra 10 on top of that. Also when you go to mcdoonalds, do that, all the guys will think you have insane power and all you will probably pull at least 3 babes who will wear tiny shorts and slide about over your car looking sexy.
  5. not supra I know but I think its funny
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2R5r9m49GxI
  7. Don't connect both leads to the battery this time :/ crazy man!
  8. You need to buy a dictionary as well because your spelling is "deadful"
  9. It's coming close to the time where I need to change my brake pads and maybe my discs (which I need to measure/inspect the condition of properly) I am wondering where would be a good place for me to buy brake pads and discs for my supra? I've had a little search through the forum and everyone seems to talk about don't go on Ebay (granted) and have a look on the for sale section for brake upgrades to UK spec. I have a standard MKiv TT Jspec. Although I would still like to know where to buy brake pads for a UK spec brake set up for when I eventually upgrade. Thanks in advance Tristan
  10. W***ers! I don't get why people intentionally damage nice cars. I walked out to my supra one day to find a dent just above the wheel. I thought maybe I missed it when I first bought it but then when I looked through my photos I found out it wasn't like that. GRR!
  11. I hope this doesn't actually get approved and enforced. I want to keep my machine guns and tyre spike dispenser for when I chav hunt
  12. From what I read on here I am under the impression that a VVTI should have 25ish more BHP than a non-VVTI so that puts it at 345 straight out the factory. Of course the years and the maintenance carried out along with the abuse its received would lower that figure.
  13. YES! I absolutely adore my supra. I smile every time I drive her. I miss a manual car every now and then but then all I do is push it into Manual mode and have some fun then I don't miss a manual anymore Only 3 types of supras would make me sell her.. 1. standard black tt6 low milage and good condition - 2. tt6 aero standard body and good condition - 3. any of the previous but a single conversion.
  14. And I paid a similar amount but I think it was worth it because I always wanted a Supra and it was in amazing condition until some inconsiderate ******** decided to put a dent in my wing and scratch the other side -_-
  15. I've got a pretty much the same spec, apart from no body kit and 40,000 miles. I've found it a really good drive, the triptronic feature takes a second or so to react once you've pressed up or down but you can get used to when you need to press it pretty quickly. Only downside to my opinion is that I've not driven any other type of Supra or even measured against another performance wise. I think I am right in saying that it is just as easy and expensive as any supra to do a BPU on. Got no interior pics sorry.
  16. 1. Listy35 (Jon) 2. Twisted (Tristan) 3. 4. 5. No longer a loner
  17. My friend knows when it's me driving past her house in my supra. I always get a text "you're back?" She says it has a very distinctive sound. Once when I was in Bridgwater and I heard a low but loud growl echoing and sure enough a lovely black supra purred past a couple seconds later. It seemed quite dramatic, it seemed to almost demand that people pay attention to it.
  18. So I've looked around all the FAQ's, Guides and Technical chat threads but I can't find anything specific to what I want to know. Maybe I'm just being blind/lazy. To my point - I've seen recently a lot of people posting about the maintenance of supra's and how they won't look at a poorly maintained one. What do you do to maintain your supra? This is my first supra and performance car yet I believe maintaining one is a lot like maintaining all cars. This is what I do at least once a month or when appropriate: Change oils, lubes and other liquids at appropriate intervals dependant on usage and mileage, change all filters and spark plugs when required, keep an eye on the brakes, check for any leaks all around the car, check wheel bearings and balls joints, check wheel alignment just through driving, look for rust all over, check for exhaust smoke that shouldn't be there, and other generally little points with making sure all the in car electronics work properly. Is there anything MAJOR that I am missing out on? Also I have read countless time on how a single turbo supra requires much more maintenance that the standard supra's. What exactly is different? Thanks in advance - - - Updated - - - oh an of course keep an eye on fluid levels.
  19. What exactly are the details for this? Time and location? Are there still places available for 2 more?
  20. body kits (although a do-luck kit is nice), non standard spoiler unless the standard one is available from the seller, horrible paint colours. Generally any mods but only because I'm too young to afford insurance with any sort of mods on a supra
  21. Why is Mycroft banned? I'm reasonably new to this forum so I don't know.
  22. Could call your car "my car" but I'm sure no one wants a repeat of the whole windows 7 fiasco.
  23. 23 driving 3 years, 2 years no claims and a declared crash. Paying £1400 for Jspec TT. So as everyone said, they are trying to pull your pants down
