    Noooooo :(

I know there are plenty of people who would have bit my hand off to buy it but unfortunately I have no way of getting it from the place where it is being kept to anywhere else. If I was to buy it I would have less than 48 hours to move it and I go back to work in Barnstaple tonight. Would have cost me over £2000 all in all to get it moved to my work. I may still be able to call the insurance to buy it off them if someone is willing to buy it from me and pay for the moving of it with no loss to me.

    Noooooo :(

Got a call through today from insurance. Offered me £9000 and as is the norm I rejected the first offer and tried my hardest to get them to go up. Ended getting them up by £40 because of my phone bill and fuel left in the supra. They said I could buy my one back for £1980 but I managed to get them down to £1750 until I unfortunately realised that I wouldn't be able to buy the supra I have my eye on for only £7250 and the money I would make from the old supra wouldn't come through in time. So with having to loose money before I could make it and not having any money to loose in the first place I settled for the giving me £9040. Which isn't bad. Once I buy the new supra I will have a little left over to play with.

  6. I don't understand why it is taking so long! I report I've had a crash at 1400 that day, they ask all details, arrange a courtesy car, find out where the car is and send someone to look at it, talk to the other party (who is with the same insurance company) just after sorting me out (first come first serve), find out her details, where the car is etc and do the stuff for her, then provide us with a free phone number (its so far cost me an extra £20 on my mobile bill), and get back to us each day, via text/call to tell us what is happening, and decide on whos fault it is whilst we are waiting. It is less than a few hours work and the rest is a waiting game for the engineers to assess the cars and get back to us. probably 3 - 4 days MAX! It's not that hard really is it!? - - - Updated - - - I'll look on Jurgens site now. Cheers lads
  7. As you know last Saturday a young lady kindly smashed into my Supra. I believe it to be a write off but regardless of my opinion the insurance still need to send out an independent engineer obviously. I've been hassling them all week "when will you be looking at my car?", "What are you doing with it?" etc etc. Eventually yesterday I got the information out of them that they sent the engineer to look at it that day and the report is expected on SUNDAY!!!! It wont take any garage 3 days to inspect a car. Then a littler earlier on today I received a call from the guy inspecting my car - "Can I get the spec of the car please? I haven't been able to get in to look at it because where it is being kept is locked and the prices on the internet vary quite a lot and I can't find a 2000 model anywhere" Now not only is the spec on the insurance policy but I have also told the insurance 3 times what the spec is. I ask - "Did the insurance not send it through" (maybe he just wanted to confirm) the reply - "They tried but it hasn't came through properly. It seems no one there knows how to do anything" AND I have been told they will not look online to find a market price because it's an import but the engineer is looking online! I then tell him about ONE supra I've found which is exactly the same apart from it has a body kit and alloys and told him it's up for £10,000, I know the guy who is selling it . To which he replies "If it is worth that much then we have more to play with to fix it, but if it was £5000 it is likely it would be uneconomical for us to repair" now this guy is meant to be "INDEPENDENT" but to me that says he is part of the insurance company. Am I right to think this or just over thinking? All of this has very much annoyed me and I will be smashing the insurance company for all this. I'm thinking now that I can say to them the only way I can get the same car back with a standard body is to import one,. Either that or I buy one of the UK market and they provide me with the money to replace everything back to standard providing it's a write off and I will be pushing to get over £10,000 off them or at least some free or heavily discounted stuff. I now effectively have to wait an extra day until I receive the engineers report. AAAAHHHHH!!! What is the general price to import a supra like mine? 40,000 miles, vvti, TT, auto triptronic, standard. I know it is probably optimistic to get the insurance company to pay out the price of importing but its worth a try.
  8. Even totally stock bodied supras get this kind of attention as well. I love it
  9. I was only thinking generally anyway. I have about 3 postcodes I can use and I'm mainly asking for people with clean licences and no crashes. I can adjust it based on my circumstances to guess what I could be offered. Right now the comparison websites are offering £3500 when the quote for my previous supra was £1300, I can't see mods pushing it up £2500!
  10. So recently my supra was written off by some stupid girl in a Corsa and I'm not looking at getting a new supra but with styling mods body kit, TRD spoiler, tinted rear windows and non standard alloys. I'm 23 and I would like to know what other 23 year old's are paying for supra's with all mods declared and what company you're with. Just so I know what price I can get and the lowest I can expect. If you have 3 - 4 years of driving experience as well then that would be perfect.

    Noooooo :(

How much do you all think a VVTI, triptronic, auto, TT, Jspec, completely standard, 2000, quicksilver, with 40,000 miles on the clock, worth? Was in very good condition apart from a couple of paint blemishes. Needing to know so I can gauge what the insurance will offer me and what I can argue with them.

    Noooooo :(

That's what I thought. I'm pretty confident I'm not at fault but as expected the girl is claiming she isn't also. Haha no but she looked like perry from Kevin and Perry go large
  13. Twisted

    Noooooo :(

I'm waiting on a verdict. Everyone believes the other driver is at fault. I have 2 independent witnesses, she has her friend as a witness, the police officer at the scene believes its not my fault, I had priority at the crossing as well. Not forgetting to mention there is CCTV covering the junction which should show she pulled out on me. Although she is saying that it's my fault and I took her out from the side :/ Hopefully I can get it from the insurance company if they give me a good price as I can break it or sell it to a breaker
  14. Twisted

    Noooooo :(

No, a guy in Birmingham. He only had it a couple months though and I don't know where he bought it from

    I hate corsa's even more now -_-

    Noooooo :(

I'm more gutted that its a young supra of the spec it is that is gone more than the fact that I've had a bump. Haha a very apt user name and if I had a single I probably would have been gone quicker! Ah well. It happens. Only minor injuries. The girl had a fractured wrist and I'm getting check out later. Probably only minor whiplash though. Will be hard to find another supra of the condition and spec I accept but I've already been offered one so its looking good already
  17. Twisted

    Noooooo :(

That's how it ended. The supra stayed pretty much where it got hit.
  18. Twisted

    Noooooo :(

Hopefully even if its a write off they will give me the car back and I shall be breaking it. I'll keep you all posted though
  19. Twisted

    Noooooo :(

Hopefully the insurance will give me £7000-£8000 for it. Hopefully I can find a nice young one again, preferably black and manual as well

    Noooooo :(

I can't go for anything but a supra now. I just hope insurance doesn't go up to much. The woman driving looked like something out of Kevin and perry lol. Her mate was okay though it looks like it's going to be a write off. So much has been damaged underneath. Almost definite chassis damage. Her car did seem to get chucked back and spin out. I had more speed and weight behind it. The pic of her car was when it was pushed out the road. It was chucked about 20 ft back though.

    Noooooo :(

So on my way home, having a nice chilled out drive and suddenly a young girl driving a corsa turns across my path and takes me out. Both write offs, but I think mine doesn't look as bad. No my fault as well. I'm not happy but I'm trying to look on the bright side. I now need to find myself another supra.
