  1. That's his main job. I can't remember exactly what he said so I'm not really doing him justice but he did pretty much say he believes it's missing but obviously wasn't sure if it was different on supras. He said the wheel balancing was perfect but re done it anyway. I was watching him doing it. I do trust him.
  2. Thanks do I have to search by size/type of alloy or is there a one size fits all supras?
  3. I will have a look. Any idea where I can buy some?
  4. From 60mph upwards my steering wheel starts to shake. At 80mph it reaches it's maximum shaking and continues. I can't drive through it. If I let go of the wheel the car stays straight. Any ideas what the problem could be? What I've already tried - wheel balancing correct - good tread on tyres - wheels are not buckled - wheel nuts tightened to 110nm The alloys are the same size all round but the tyre on the front are smaller than the rears for some reason. 235/35/18 front and 265/35/18 rear. No idea on the offset. The guy who checked the wheels balancing mentioned the wheels don't look like they don't sit on the hub properly. As if there is some sort of shim missing to help it sit on there.
  5. I'd be too scared to drive that thing on public roads incase of someone crashing into me!
  6. If we do go for something to eat then I can't go o Zaza bazaar. Sorry :/ There is Cosmo just up the road though which is an all you can eat. I would suggest all meeting at the start of April but I can't see the weather being any good.
  7. I'm very happy they weren't wearing seatbelts properly
  8. That's worse! At least you'd be getting lucky with sheep for free if you were welsh! I bet when you go to Wales you say "yeah I'm English but Wales is much better that's why I pay to come here every day" It fine. As long as all us English lot from Avon know where your true loyalties lie
  9. In Headley park to be exact. If you know bedminster then I am 5 mins from there towards Somerset way. What part of north Bristol you from?
  10. Thank you all for the positive comments. I used to be a big fan of the stock look. But since having this supra and seeing the body kit in person I have actually started to like it a lot more as it is. Thanks a lot bud. I will keep that in mind. Once I start work on it I will be needing some help to confirm things. Still a baby mechanic and with only being able to work on diesel landrovers and massive trucks in work I don't get much experience with car like this one :/
  11. So as you know my supra (Sasha) was smashed into by a lovely young 'kevin and perry' lookalike in a corsa. The insurance paid out £9000 and with selling the supra to SPG and my injury claim I've ended up with a grand total of £11,300 :D Very happy indeed. With this money I've decided to stay as a supra owner and bought myself this beauty for £7760 She is a Jspec, 2000, TT VVTI, Auto, Triptronic with only 43,000 miles on the clock. Standard engine and exhaust. Not sure if it's on coilovers though. I'm getting it up on the ramp in work tomorrow and having a look about. I've called her Suki, wanted something a little more Japanese this time. (I know a few members have the same name) Everything is pretty much perfect, couple paint blemishes and wheels need balancing. Getting a bit of shake from 70mph up. Does that sound like wheel balancing? I've seen a thread about it already where people gave their opinions. Some good, some bad. It wont be to everyones tastes but not every supra is to my taste. It's just how it works With my extra money left over I am planning to pay off some debts I have and I will be left with a little under £2000 I may save up for a couple months to make it £3000 to play with. My plans include: - Carbon wrap or paint black the rear spoiler blade - Cover over and blend in the big circular holes in the front bumper if I decide I like it after photoshopping. Thoughts? - Alloys need painting but again need photoshopping to see what I like. Thinking either, all black, black spokes with silver rim, gold spokes with silver rim. Thoughts? - The dash has a plastic, carbon fibre style thing on it that I will take off - Sort out the paint blemishes (only 3 or 4 around the whole car) - New exhaust from the old supra. I would like to BPU but I think I am too young to afford the insurance just yet. Maybe next year. If there are any photoshop gurus out there who can change the colours of the wheels and fill in the holes on the bumper and post the pics up that would be brilliant So what do you guys think?
  12. Are there any problems with the wrap on the bonnet with regards to heating up? I saw someone asked but I didn't see an answer. Tempted to do this myself with the new supra but really unsure as to what colour. Black, white or a really nice royal or candy blue with black parts.

    Noooooo :(

When I get back on weekends I usually occupy the Headley park area, just past Bedminster. I guess you're In Bristol?

I think that's the name of the road. Can't remember fully! It's the same road that @bristol is on. That the one you mean?

It's all been agreed and is off the market. Unless there are some unforeseen circumstances with SPG not being able to follow through with the deal then I'm afraid it's been sold. Good to know its going to a forum member

I see how you may be reading it. I posted that quickly without much thought. So to clarify its for SPG unless he pulls out of the deal last minute which is why I am asking people to express interest. I can't afford to hold onto the car for long at all. Friday at the latest and that would have to be given in cash on that day.

I have told him I will sell to him however it's to cover me if he pulls out last minute. I need it to be a very quick sell. So if the member I promised to sell to backs out I got members I can contact straight away and I don't have to wait around. Wether or not you see me as honest or not you truly believe me doesn't matter to me in the slightest. It is how I say it is. You can offer me £5000 for it but as said SPG got to me first so it's his if he follows through with the deal. And currently I have no reason to believe he doesn't.

Thanks for the offer but it's a write off

This is crazy ha! SPG has been told he can have it but obviously that doesn't mean you can't still express your interest. I have a certain strict deal I want to make to anyone who is interested (trust me it is very much in the buyers favour due to me wanting rid of it quickly if I can buy it). And if you can't agree to it then I'm afraid I won't sell. Pm me for details if you are interested. Be quick though if I can still buy this off the insurance I want the deal sealed by the end of the week and I've already got a promise of it being done in the next couple days.
