Anyone done this? My brake lights, indicators, reverse lights and even headlights work but not the tail lights. Im pretty sure the tail lamp failure sensor is the cause of this. Just curious to see if it works before i buy a new sensor.
-
What are the availability on your pads Chris? Will order a set with you next weeks. Also does anyone know the part numbers for uk discs? My local dealer said they can do me a pair for £140 after I bit of discount
-
I was just worried about brake fade when braking from high speeds but if they're up to the job ill refurbish the ones I have. Can you recommended pads /discs or should I get genuine toyota?
-
Are these as good as people make out? I'm coming to the end of my single build and will be running around 600/650 hp. With decent pads and discs will uk brakes be good enough? I have this set up on my car but they are completely worn out and don't want to go through the expense of buying new discs and pads if I end up upgrading anyway.

What this guy said! I wouldn't let all the horror stories put you off, there are ways around the security issues. The power writer software isn't the same for all the versions of the f-con though. there should be a coloured round sticker onn the front of the unit to show which version it is, or you can be doubly sure by checking your serial number against the ones listed on the HKS Europe website. I also have the Hks wideband/knock sensor which I personally think makes for a great set up. This obviously is dependent of the price you will be paying for the fcon your interested in buying, I went down this route because I feel the f-con has a lot to offer (when you can use it) and can be purchased relatively cheap compared to other ecu's out there.

I tried before know one seems to have a copy

Probably been asked before but does anyone know where and if I could get my hands on the software for this? Its a pain in the ass because I've spent all winter getting my car ready and I'm itching to drive it but all the power writers I've checked with have around a 2 month waiting list for mapping.

Wow 10th may, that's come up quick! This will give me something to work towards, fingers crossed the car will be driveable by then. I'll tag on with Jon and Tim if that's cool as I don't really know anyone else yet.

Its the white one. Looking a bit sorry for itself at the moment mainly due to some not so desirable touches from the previous owner but I have every faith that it'll be worth it after Paul works a little magic on it and it gets a fresh lick of paint.

My car is currently at whifbitz south wales, Paul needs a seat in the car and as I need to make custom brackets for my new seats the brides are back in the car for the time being. As soon as I get the car back I will whip them out and put them up in the for sale section £400 for both seats and sub frames. These are direct replacement with no modifications needed.

I have recently bought new seats for my supra and will be looking to sell these when I get my car back from having some work done to it. They are genuine Brides with Bride seats frames specific for a supra. Everything is in good working order except for some bolster wear on the drivers seat caused by the awkwardness of getting in and out of the things! The seats are so comfortable I was originally going to get them re-trimmed and keep them but have since bought a set of fixed bucket seats (not quite so comfortable.) Can anyone shed any light on what they would be worth?

I have just priced one up and will hopefully be ordering it this week. These are the prices I had for the bits needed adapter loom £250 s6 ECU £1299 boost control solenoid £60 ntk o2 wideband sensor/loom £172 3 bar map sensor £120 syvecs cal switch £30 wideband knock sensor £80 syvecs oil pressure sensor £120 oil filter sandwich plate £20 which totals up to £2617.20 by the time you add the v.a.t. Hope this helps.

What about KSports? They seem to be well priced and look pretty decent -
Are the copy ones all the Same? The only ones I can find in the uk are like http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/230860559829?nav=SEARCH&sbk=1 Where as the cast finish ones found on the u.s eBay seem to look better?? http://m.ebay.com/itm/370967264074?nav=SEARCH&sbk=1

650 maybe a tad more

I was looking at the cast finishes ones but these only seem to be available on American eBay

What are peoples experiences with these? I'm looking to change my stock inlet, ideally I'd use a genuine greddy item but with the rest of my build getting out of hand my funds are dwindling. I've heard of sealing problems where they bolt to the inlet tubes (this would not be an issue as i could easily weld them.) Are there any other issues? Would I simply be better sticking with the stock Toyota inlet?

Where is the best place to buy genuine ones? I have a pair of older style Brides that must have been fitted when the car was still in japan but i'm looking to get Kevlar backed ones now. They have stood the test of time, still really comfy with the only problem being bolster wear on driver seat although I would put this down to how hard it is getting in and out of them! I can't imagine fake ones would last the same.

Thanks guys. I can't wait to drive it although I'm still a little confused about grip as the std traction control is junk and best turned off.
-
I wanted a syvecs but they are out of my budget atm. Plus from what I've read the f-con is pretty good bang for your buck when paired up with a knock amp sensor???
-
How much boost is safe on standard internals? I've researched and everyone has a different opinion

Hi all, I'm fairly new to the supra world and bought my first one around 8 months ago. It started out as a BPU TT6 and after only 2 months I gave into temptation and decided to go single. So I pulled it off the road and began tinkering... I am almost at the end of the build and the car is going off to whifbitz to get all the finishing touches sorted before mapping. Being my first supra and not having had a go in a single turbo supra yet I am itching to find out how much power it will make. I understand the proof is in the pudding and there are many variables that will affect the end figure but I'm just curious as to what I can expect. This is a brief spec of what it has: stock engine stock inlet borg warner s366 Turbosmart external wastegate whifbitz 264's whifbitz cam pulleys greddy aux pulleys ansu 1000 cc injectors whifbitz fuel rail fuelab fpr walbro 450 fuel pump hks f-con gold with knock amp greddy fmic greddy profec spec 2 blitz nurspec exhaust Any ideas???

I'm looking to upgrade the battery on my car as its getting a bit tired. Can anyone recommend a good quality one / has anyone had any experience with lithium batteries?
-
Does anyone know the torque specs for the cam carriers/bridges and also for the cam gears on a twin turbo? Is there a listing somewhere on here with all the torque specs listed? thanks in advance

One of my ball joints is warn out and as they are not replaceable i've just priced a new wishbone up with toyota at £410 plus vat. Are there any other options out there?
