  3. A bit of oil coating the silicone is usually fine with any turbo car. A lot of oil and its gone...
  4. If he has no respect for motorcyclists dedicated parking then why should anybody respect his car? Cant win these days. Its why I drive a rover daily because I just dont care if it gets dented, as long as it doesn't affect drive ability.

  6. OD - over drive not odometer I have an auto you must have a manual. My odometer works too.
  7. I have a similar problem, my speedo was like it had mechanical sticking. Now it doesnt work and I had to estimate the speed the other day. My OD/OFF light started flashing and a few forum searches related to the the speed sensor connection on gearbox and code 42...

  9. By any chance was you O/D OFF light flashing on your instrument cluster?
  10. Probably the easiest step to take is to put a multimeter on the battery terminal s to see volt drop. Battery voltage should around 10v and above when cranking the engine. This is to check the starter motor isnt drawing too much due to high resistance. .. StartingSystems-2.pdf

  15. I had this problem last year with bpu both cats out. Roger is right, legally you dont have to have cats as long as you pass the emissions. I believe IanC gave me a link to the official information they should abide by. Iirc pre June/July 1995- under 3500 ppm idle test and thats it.

  17. My dad had the 4.0 litre with the exact same problems. After 2 replacement engines and 6 months later he found a cure and off it went to the scrap yard...with a seized engine...again.
  18. Maybe you should start with a compression test and a leak down test. (Youtube and guides on here can help) With this it tells you the condition of the engine.
