  1. Thanks, im glad you like it. I was thinking about going abroad with the car for about 2 weeks, but my main concern is that if i run into trouble with the car, its going to be a costly fix. Its already had a lot done to it from the previous owner. Replaced brake and fuel lines, BPU double D-cat, Eilbach suspension, drilled/grooved discs, 4 pot front, 2 pot rear, 19" alloys, blue samco/ autobahn hoses and pipe work, FMIC, boost gauge, turbo timer, FCD, Audio goodies, HID's, auto folding mirrors and auto windows with alarm, window tints, paint work was resprayed to a good standard with not much orange peel at all and a deep high reflection. theres some other stuff thats been done but can't think of them right now. Ill check the LSD tomorrow, I don't believe I have one though. What I really need to get hold of is a spark plug/cam cover.
  2. I would love to come, but I need to shuffle some dates around
  3. I would love cruise control.. thats the only thing I think the auto is short of. In addition. I would love to keep the car for at least another 5 - 6 years through university, so a decent amount of under coating. A full service will just cost me the parts as ill most probably do it myself. I think the current power is more than enough to enlighten my day, but 6 pot brakes at the front and 4 pot at the back would ultimately do the trick. With heated side mirrors with that blue crystal clear glass stuff they have on bmw's. As bucket loads have gone on the brakes. A bird shit evaporator machine, and a jealously sensor should take it up to £5k
  4. Hello and welcome to the forum. Do you have a supra? Maybe an road anger course in turkey would be more profitable. . Or how to lower the risk of having your car damaged and stuck in traffic for hours course
  5. Ive been dreaming a little. I've got £5,000 cash which is reserved to upgrade my TT Auto supra. The current mods are: BPU and some visual accessories... What would you spend the money on? Why? What would your aim be e.g. power, aesthetics, originality...
  6. This should be it http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/faq.php?faq=vb3_reading_posting#faq_vb3_attachments
  7. hi tommy, I have a tt auto and use the car around 3/4 times a week. They are really easy to drive, smooth changes and enough low down torque for any overtaking manoeuvres on public roads. Parking with an auto is controllable. MPG wise, I don't look or calculate I just drive and fill the tank when it reaches a quarter. I would estimate around 20 MPG in town and 30 MPG going a distance at near 60MPH. If I was to buy another supra my main interest would be corrosion.
  8. is there any set dates? or...
  9. Yeah.... that explains a few things Sundays good for for me too and sure, I don't mind popping down Cardiff sometimes, I just happened to see a silver L reg head towards Cardiff yesterday at 16:00 on the A470
  10. ive done a quick search on the net with a supra tt no mods (didn't put your numberplate by the way encase details were different, some companies keep records of quotes), 33 years old 5 years no claims, no convictions no points within 5 years some random postcode in cardiff £180 performance direct. I have no experience with this company... just letting you know what the price I found was.
  11. Hey guys, hows it going? I'm from Merthyr tydfil so travelling won't be much hassle... if i'm invited of course, no worries if I'm not, I understand being not known on the forum creates barriers being invited to somebodys home. Would be good to meet other supra owners, haven't seen another supra in about 18 months
  12. Early august 2009, just thought i'd do a little history research and gain more knowledge about the car. I still remember chris taking me and my father for a test drive around his area, teasing the accelerator. Has anybody seen him around lately? or has he not brought another supra?
  13. Sound as a pound mate Im going to take it easy for a few hundred miles let it run in a bit and then test it a little more...
  14. not sure if you can cut the 3 squares but maybe you can make it an mp3/ipod/phone seat to sit horizontally The use of black glass?
  15. Well, I did fill it up with fresh before the mot, there was only about £5 of old fuel in there.. but would that £5 make the rest worthless is what im not sure about... or would that already have run through and finished? I got about half a tank left... 2nd edit... forget about the first edit aha.
  16. Im not sure you should be using used bolts as they could have been over torqued and stretched excessively. Depends on the hands that have played with them. Bolt prices should really depend on how well they are engineered such as one for a panel cover (doesn't do much) and one that's in a active position of vibration.
  17. I have 10 days to get it re tested from my first test day for it to be a small charge because I left the mot station to take it home.. I believe it only really failed the emissions because the tester put car with cats and closed loop control. .. it has no cats, its a j spec. Ill have to show him the mot guide I think. Yeah your right about the £25 guys, there's a place near me that does it for £5... really just so they can buy a new Texas style hat.
  18. The car still doesn't want to accelerate quickly, its like its throat is not clear, even though its getting better with time and a daily drive around the estate. A friend suggested to leave it idle for an hour to get the old petrol out of the system and fill up with fresh...any ideas if this will help?
  19. so ive refurbished all 6 clips and now they fit tight and don't wiggle. I cant recreate the dropping idle when closing doors, so i think its helped it on that point:) Im now looking into the injectors, number 3 and 4 in particular and i think they need a bit of a clean
  20. been looking ages for this, however i have seen one on this forum which had pictures, but i think the main topic was the etcs removal? could anybody find a link to that, it would be much appreciated.
  21. cheers guys, just starting to refurbish the first one, will let you know how it gets on.
  22. Not sure if I have attached the picture correctly, by a preview post it looks ok. So this may be my problem?
