  1. Finished up the install of the clear front indicators today https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/1379681_393895027404393_2141507060_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/559458_393895054071057_1153756083_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/1376984_393894954071067_702079730_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc3/1383817_393894994071063_1197523073_n.jpg
  2. The car also came with central locking, but the module box was rusted and corroded very badly https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/1385090_393565907437305_1359111550_n.jpg So after soaking in vinegar solution for 2 days, I cleared it up and resprayed it to good as new https://scontent-a-ams.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn2/1374991_393566097437286_457901924_n.jpg
  3. Then I took the long drive up to Jurgen and picked the car up!! I couldn't have had a better experience with Jurgen and his team! Once I got the car home, it was my turn to "De-Personalize" and set the car up the way I wanted it to be So, I started where every new tuner does...I ripped out the entire interior and started to sort out the wiring https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc3/1380121_391134234347139_1406077463_n.jpg Once that was all sorted, I moved to ripping off the "nut trim" from the dash and resprayed it in matte/ultra flat black taken back to bare plastic https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/1378615_391852484275314_188398617_n.jpg Resprayed https://scontent-b-ams.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn2/1234512_391968297597066_1293115344_n.jpg Back into car https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/1378596_393357124124850_909031562_n.jpg

  7. So, I decided to go a different route with my Supra and sold it and replaced it with a fresh import I bought the car with the help of Jurgen and JM-Imports from auction, scored quite a gem with this one. I have been massively busy getting the car where I was previously with the last one. Picture bomb Incoming over next few posts
  8. Need one of these as well! PM if you have any available steveo

    Uk man tt

You will only be able to import each model at 25 years old, 93 is 2018, 94 2019, 95 2020 etc.. I have researched this until I was blue in the face, each year has to wait the 25 to be importable under the classic car category of importation. No way around this unless someone wants to do crash testing on 6(?) models and provide the crash data for FMVSS/DOT/NHTSA. This whole process isn't worth the few extra years of waiting to get them back.
  10. Most people ignore car alarms, Jessica Barton from supraforums had a car worth more than your dream car and it was in 1 million pieces in a matter of hours. A chop shop doesnt car about the car as a whole. Her car was stolen off her driveway in the bleak hours of the morning, she had every security precaution you can think other than it being parked in the garage, in which case, doesn't matter much these days. Most chop shop car thieves have cased your car for a few weeks, watching when you leave how long you are gone for and most of them know how to disable a car in seconds. Gone are the days of stealing high end built cars for a quick sell off, thieves now either have your car ported off to a different country or in a million pieces
  11. Ridox or TRD, anything more looks tacky and cheap imo, I'm still surprised this is still going to be honest. You need to be getting good grades and finish college with the idea of a 100k car that is your "toy" and making at least 100k a year to afford this. Your ideas are becoming very "ricer" or "boy racer" as they call it here in the UK. You are worried about a big body kit, big heavy ICE, and then you want to rebuild the car from the ground up? These cars don't need much aesthetics wise, and a heavy stereo system is over the top for "STEAL ME"
  12. I know a company that can do this in the US that I have a lot of experience with. You supply wheel, they supply craftsmanship
  13. The J Specs are allowed to go back, where'd you hear that? Once any foreign car (this includes the UK cars) are over 25 years old they are permitted to enter the US. Even the UK spec supra is not able to be imported until it is 25 years old because it does not conform to the NHTSA standards and is not found on the "non-conforming vehicles eligible for importation" list. Jspecs are more abundent as well as quite a bit cheaper here in the UK since the UK cars were limited to aound only 500-600 cars. So, after that mouth full of information, soonest you can get a non US supra back is 2018, the car can only be imported exactly 25 years after the build date, drivetrain and engine must remain factory stock. Anything newer than 25 must be on the list I mentioned earlier, and has to conform ($$$ process) to NHTSA, EPA, and DOT standards. If you are considering taking the car home, your best options are exactly what I am currently doing, find an early to mid year 1993 of your liking, keep it maintained, and if you are leaving prior to 2018 have the car stored at a car storage facility until it is eligible to be dropped at the docks and imported over the the states.
  14. Welcome to the forum! fired you a PM
