  1. Howdy folks, Got an Isotta Evoluzione (350mm) steering wheel up for grabs. As soon as I got it I realised that it's a bit too silver for my black car, and it's not going to suit it very well, so I'd rather have an 'all black' one. I bought it advertised as 'New', and I believe it is. There is no sign of usage on the wheel whatsoever. However, I do believe that this is an example that didn't make it through quality control at the factory, and has therefore been sold as 'outlet' stock. From the front, everything looks pretty much perfect. There is a teeny weeny area where you can see some of the orange adhesive has marked part of the wheel (see the last pic of this post). This may well rub off, but I don't want to try. The back of the wheel has some much larger areas of orange 'stain' where the glue has marked it. It's not visible at all from the front, and you'll never see it with the wheel fitted, but it's there. It's a really nice and comfortable feeling wheel though, I'll be looking for the same model, but in Black for sure. The only reason I want to sell is for the colour, the defects wouldn't be a problem for me and I'd happily keep it otherwise. Photos of everything below. If you need more, let me know. You get the Steering Wheel, Black plastic 'Horn' button for the middle, and the chrome surround that locks the horn button in place. These are anything from £150 to £175 new, so I am looking for £75 delivered. Cheers, James

  3. Do you mean you were driving it for a few weeks before you noticed it had no turbos? Or you paid for it and didn't know until you picked it up a few weeks later? I can't imagine it would take a few weeks of driving to notice that your twin-turbo car actually had no turbos at all? You must have done SOME sort of research into Supra's before forking out £5k to buy one, surely? I mean, 5 minutes research will give you all sorts of information to instantly recognise an NA from a TT without even having to lift the hood. I do feel sorry for you dude, some unscrupulous scammer seems to have totally had you . But to fork out for a car with seemingly no research at all is utter insanity! If only you'd asked on here BEFORE you bought the car like most people do, instead of after, you'd have never had this problem.
  4. Where in Berkshire are you Stevie? I've live on the Surrey/Berks border and I've had the Supra for 7 years (+ a GTI-R for 3 years prior to that). I think I've made use of most local places over the years if you need help
  5. Can the OP confirm this? Got a PM outstanding and don't want to go spend my money elsewhere only to find that I'm expected to pay for these too
  6. Hehe ... that would make more sense, but I am sure that saying has been around for far longer than any of us, so who are we to argue
  7. Sounds very similar to what my car has been doing recently. It either starts, has a pretty lumpy idle & throttle response for 20 secs or so, then sorts itself out. Or it doesn't fire up at all on the first attempt (just turns over), but starts instantly on the second attempt with no idle issue. It's being investigated right now, I'll let you know the outcome. Seems like something in the fuelling setup though. Cheers, J
  8. Hehe .... any site where the original poster has a "Teabag Patriot" award under his name (amongst many others) must be a parody site! Still very funny
  9. If it is stolen, then it's a smooth move by them to splatter close-ups of their faces all over the interwebz! Although I guess lack of intelligence like that is probably why they are out robbing police cars instead of working in the first place
  10. I might, maybe, possibly fall into this category ... I've been gaming since the days of battery operated pong machines (they took about 4 x D size batteries). I own: - PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360, GameCube, GameGear, Atari Lynx, NDS, Gameboy, Master System, GameGear + TV Adaptor, DELL XPS M1710 Gaming Laptop, Self-Built Gaming PC with lots of shiney bits My time is primarily dedicated to WoW too. I run one of the biggest guilds on the EU Zenedar server . But I try to fit in some console time inbetween with the likes of Battlefield and recently finished Dante's Inferno ... ... Oh, and I've worked for EA for the past 10 years Cheers, J

    Which car?

Take the Audi ... I know 2 people who have gone on these recently, and both took the Audi. In both cases, the instructor told them that everyone chooses the Ferrari or the Lambo because of the name, but the Audi is the best driving experience according to the instructors.
  12. Sorry to hear this Jazz I've had at least 2 dogs around me at any one time for my entire life, so this is something I have been through many, many times and it never gets any easier . Thankfully they have almost always been after a long and full life where, I would like to hope, they were always happy, free and treated better than most humans! I know that it's no consolation right now, but you've had many happy years with him, and I'm sure he had a great life where he wanted for nothing with you. Whenever this happens, we always get a new puppy within a few weeks. This is mainly to keep the remaining dog company, but it also helps the grieving process to have a new addition to the family to focus on. I know it may seem like a betrayal to the memory of the previous dog to effectively 'replace' him/her so soon, but it's really not like that at all. You will never, ever forget and the new dog will just be like a living memory of each previous one. I remember the name & character of every single dog we've ever had, including 2 litters of puppies (15 in total) from the past 30 years. It will get better soon, and you'll be able to put aside the initial grief and focus on the happy memories
  13. Awesome ... thanks for that, she's looking pretty beaten up when you get close, but still looks great if you stand back I am on that road into Guildford for my whole journey between about 8.20-8.45am and then 5.40-6.10pm .. very dull! But see a silver stock J-spec most mornings, and then the odd sighting of a modified silver one and a black one with a big GT wing. But none seem to be on here!
  14. Hahaha ... awesome...nice looking car you have there! And FINALLY, a reply to a 'spotted' post for me! Yah, the dual carriageway there is about the only part of my daily commute (Windlesham to Guildford) where I can really breathe some life into the single for about 300 metres before I have to turn off to Lightwater! As fate would have it, I was going to contact you once all my mechanical work is done to try and make her look as good as she drives. I know you are close to me now, and I only work over at EA in Guildford Cheers, J
  15. Saw you this morning on the way to work, not one of the ones that I usually see, but I was going in an hour early today. Black with no spoiler and an aftermarket bonnet (AB-Flug maybe)? I was in the black one going the other way waving at you Cheers, J
  16. Just saw a silver kitted up j-spec go past my house (9.00pm) heading out of Windlesham, towards Lightwater. Had a Top Secret CF bonnet from what I could see (it's a little dark), but couldn't catch the plate. Sounded quite 'subtle' (compared to the armageddon I get when I start mine up!) Cheers, J (actually saw another silver one on the outskirts of Guildford this evening at about 5.45, but I think it's the one I see a lot who doesn't seem to be on here)
  17. Haven't been able to get on for a few days, so a 'late' spotted here. Saw a black standard looking J-spec on Friday on the A3, just outside Guildford heading towards the M25. You joined the A3 right next to me . Exchanged waves, and I was on my way . That was around 2pm Sunday saw a silver J-spec on the A30 in Windlesham turning down past The Windmill pub .. I know because I was in there watching the cars outside whilst pretending to be interested in what everyone was talking about . Must have been around 5pm. Cheers, J
  18. I got a Desire yesterday! It's niiiiiiiiiice! All the iPhone fanboys at work are trying to find ways to trade-in to get one now! hahah It was either this or the iPhone, but I have an iPod Touch, and the HTC comes above the iPhone in pretty much every review I've read! haven't messed with the apps yet, but now I've read this ... I will Cheers, J
  19. There you go - Anette Olson http://cdn.buzznet.com/assets/users16/earendil666/default/anette-olson-new-singer-nightwish--large-msg-118004860952.jpg And before here was Tarja Saw them live with both ... prefer Tarja's voice, but getting used to Anette now Cheers, J
  20. Spotted you this morning, both returned a wave Didn't catch any number plates because of the traffic, but the silver one looked very clean and shiny! Don't think it's the one that I usually see each morning (who I don't think is on these forums) as it looked like you had an aftermarket bumper. Black one wan't quite so clean . Looked like it had a TRD or similar 'table top' style spoiler. Still looked nice though! I was in the black one going the opposite way btw Cheers, J
  21. But how many times in your life do you get to call your boss on Monday morning and say "Sorry, I cant make it to work today......there is a volcano"? God only knows how long I will be stuck here though. I wouldnt mind too much if it wasnt grey, dismal and raining in Madrid!! (p.s. excuse my lack of punctuation .. Spanish keyboard and god knows where the apostrophe button etc is!)
  22. Whichever one is going to sort out our crappy broadband connections in the UK. Everything else we'll still get shafted on regardless of who is running the show! We are pretty much at the bottom of the list in the 'Developed' world, behind countries like Slovakia, Belgium, Iceland, Poland, Portugal etc etc. Korea has an AVERAGE connection speed of 60 mbps!! UK has an average of around 4 mbps!! So whichever political party can sort out the digital infrastructure will swing it for me because, let's face it, they won't lower petrol prices or anything else by any significant margins ... so I may as well be able to watch YouTube faster!
  23. I was so annoyed that I couldn't get it 100% perfect, that I just cut a circle out for the ignition in the end
  24. Nice work! How did you get around the ignition key area? That bit drove me NUTS when I was trying to do this ... and I mean TOTALLY nuts!! I was using the 3M stuff with the adhesive on the back already ... heat it up with a hairdryer and it's really malleable, but the ignition beat me! Cheers, J p.s. Just noticed you did exactly the same as me and got the 'slope' of the weave going the opposite direction to the other panels on the area that surrounds the dials . You don't really notice it though unless you know about it
