  1. I see Brian May and Brian Blessed fairly often as they live near me. That's a whole lot of hair they have between them! Gary Lineker, Nick Faldo & Chris Evans often make an appearance in the local Waitrose too. Nick Faldo is a unit .. he's huge!! But for extra random .. does anyone remember a computer games TV show from the mid-90's (I think) called "BITZ"? It was presented by 3 girls (2 English, 1 American) .. well one of those girls sits about 10 yards from me at work Also saw Rupert Grint and Daniel Radcliffe a couple of times when they were here. Cheers, J
  2. Boy do I feel stupid now! Just what I needed, thanks I'll print this off and include it in the mail, but I'll send you the PM too "SkyInsurance" just to be extra sure Cheers, J
  3. Just got mine all renewed, pretty pleased with how it turned out considering the mods and power specified etc. 31, 9+ years NCB (max), Fully comp, all mods (big single etc) - £800 Just filling in the paperwork now. They asked me to supply proof of club membership ... what exactly should I send for this? I've been a member for 6+ years but not entirely sure that I actually ever got any 'proof'. Other than the fact that I am posting here of course Cheers, J
  4. Booo, I can't make it either as I have a stupid stag-weekend going on
  5. Urgh ... all the things that happen close to me seem to happen on the few weekends each year where I actually have plans. Got a Stag-do on the Saturday, so chances are I won't be in a state to drive on Sunday. If I can manage it, I will!
  6. I'm trying my best, just can't seem to figure out why it's not working. Looks the same as everyone else's embedded videos above, and I've done it before and it's worked fine!
  7. Resurrecting an old-ish thread. Finally got a video of my car! Veilside Ti strapped to a full Boostlogic setup with a Precision Billet 6765. No cats. First time I've heard it from the outside too to be honest ... sounds a bit like a tractor, but good as it drives away urC3fPzKbXM Cheers, J Hmmm, I'm sure I did the link right but it's not appearing for me??
  8. Ahh curses! This weekend would have been ok, but I have a stag weekend on the 25th so I'll struggle I suspect. Nevermind, I'm sure it will be a good day and I'll be down there soon enough

    Tube Strike

I'm assuming this is repost, but just in case, this post deserves it to lighten the mood If you are at work .... HEADPHONES ON!! NSFW!! http://www.backingblair.co.uk/london_underground/
  10. Agree with the whole hypocrisy argument about the majority of us being meat eaters, makes sense. Although it will usually just break down in to a discussion about society and expectations. For example, in our culture, specific animals are born, bred and raised for their meat (i.e. cows). So the expectation is that they will eventually find their way onto our plates which, however much we try to ignore the fact, requires them to be 'dispatched' in some way. Dogs (and cats etc) however, are born and bred as pets (in our culture). There is no expectation that they will be eaten or butchered, hence the outrage when something like this happens. Although I am not sure that 'educating' her will help. I may be wrong, but I think it is natural human behaviour, regardless of who you are, to feel some kind of emotion over a tiny, helpless little puppy. Especially when they are crying like that. The same goes for any new-born animal to be honest, be it a pet or an animal that is bred for purpose. This woman/girl showed no emotion at all. She was cold, calculated, callous and seemed amused by the whole thing. As did whoever was filming. I am not sure that you can "educate" that out of someone! I am fully aware that this argument wouldn't stand up in some parts of the world where animals that we regard as pets are bred for food, and that is fair enough, it's their culture (not saying I like it, but that's a by-product of MY culture). But it seems like this girl is European and, to my knowledge, the culture across Europe when it comes to these matters is pretty much the same (with perhaps the exception of horses which we don't eat in the UK). So, in my opinion, she's evil ... burn her!
  11. Ahahah If you mean did I fit the hood myself, then yes . Did I make it ... no . It's AB Flug (cheers JamieP )
  12. Day 30 in a row at work today ... hence she's dirty! I feel lost and bewildered if I don't wash her at least once a week. This is like torture to me ...
  13. Time to get the Purdey's and take you out-back. I have occasionally had these feelings when cruising around in the 'armchair'like' goodness of the Range Rover or Discovery. But the moment you hop back in the Supra you realise that you were just being stupid, and everything feels right again If this doesn't happen .. then it's time to worry!
  14. Oh jeez, I watched like 3 seconds, and refuse to watch more. I really hope they find this filthy hag and rip her face off. I've had dogs every day of my life and (even if they did bite my finger off recently) I would happily put myself at risk to prevent harm to them without thinking. This wench is only ever going to be a stain on society if she considers something like this as 'normal'. This is exactly the kind of person who grows up to be a mass-murderer or something like that. Anyone sane, regardless of how big and hard and cool you think you are, would feel SOMETHING when you see and hear those tiny helpless little puppies...she's stone cold. She's best off out of the gene pool, and whoever was filming can burn in hell along with her. Film her being dragged along behind a Supra at the pod I say!
  15. That can't be good for his 'family allowance' either, surely!! Probably resembles a badly burned shammy down there now!
  16. Looks awesome! How's the space outside for parking etc? Used to get pretty tight in the old place Looking forward to seeing it all
  17. I got myself some of THESE ONES off Ebay. A nice improvement to my old ones. Just a bit of a mare to fit with the stupid plastic 'ring' thing that the standard gaiter is clamped down with (which uses plastic welds). There is no other way to get it out other than snapping the welds. So putting it back together requires, in my case ... superglue Cheers, J
  18. Don't worry, it's the same in England. So, for example, I am insured to drive the Supra as my main car, and I am the registered owner of the car. On the Supra I have "Fully Comprehensive" insurance. Which means that, in the event of an accident, my insurance company will fix my car and the other car involved if I was to blame. However, as part of my insurance, I am also allowed to drive any other car with "3rd Party Fire & Theft" cover, as long as I have their permission. So, for example, I can drive my Brother's Skyline, but the insurance will only pay for damages to someone else's car in the event of an accident. I will have to pay for any damage to the Skyline myself. So, if it works the same in Italy, then maybe your insurance that you have there will allow you to collect the car from the UK and drive it to Italy? It may well only be 3rd party insurance, but better than none. So I think the first thing to do would be to talk to your Italian insurance company and ask them .. I am sure it will be ok, or they will offer some kind of cover. I hope that helps. I can probably try to write this in Italian if it will help to explain it better for you Cheers, James
  19. Ciao Luca & benvenuto First places I would look for a Supra would be in the 'Supra Classifieds' section on this site. You can be fairly sure that most cars on here have been looked after and loved by a proper 'enthusiast'. The chances are that they will also be well-known by other forum members who will be able to verify how good the car is. The other person to talk to would probably be Jurgen at JM-Imports (http://www.jm-imports.co.uk. I've not used him myself (just had the 1 Supra for 6-7 years now ), but I only ever hear good things! As for the numberplate thing, a very good question. Normally if someone was moving from the UK to live in Italy, they would just be able to drive there using their UK plates and license. I may well be wrong, but I believe you can drive with UK plates/license for up to 6 months before being considered a 'resident' and having to register the vehicle in the country you are in. Or at least I think that's how it worked in Spain when I was there for a few years. But if you are just coming over to get a car, and then going straight back to Italy, then I am not too sure. The car will be registered on UK roads so I guess, providing you have comprehensive insurance (not too sure how it works in Italy), you can come to the UK, collect the car, drive it back with UK plates/docs and then register it in Italy as soon as you are there? This is all a guess mostly though based on what some people did when I was in Spain. This might also be something that Jurgen knows about as I'm sure he's dealt with requests like this in the job that he does Cheers, ciao for now, James
  20. Hehehe .. I was about to link that Yah, I've had the bonnet for 5 years actually (I checked) and I've never had any issues. It's more the fact that I'd like to give the engine bay a good clean etc, and water going in there leaves nasty spots on everything.
  21. Ah cool .. thanks peeps. Yah, I just saw a post from you from a few years back Foodfreak on the same subject. Was going to ask if you have any 'under-bonnet' shots I found this post on a G35 forum .. is this what you mean? http://g35driver.com/forums/1581107-post24.html I wonder if these are sold separately at all, and if they will fit a non-original copy. But it seems to close the vents off totally, which I guess negates any cooling benefits? Cheers, J
  22. Heheh, yah, this is true. Although mine is a copy made by some company who's name I can't remember (Autmodellista, something like that). Got it in group buy from Paul E @ Miami-GT (I think it was still Miami-Rice back then) in about 2006. I am fairly sure that the genuine article has water channels though, so I was just wondering how they do it, and if it's something I can replicate on mine Cheers, J
