  1. Actually ... while I am on the subject ... does anyone have Volks Racing wheels? I am looking at mine wondering how you get the wretched things off. Here is a link to a pic of the wheels: - My Wheels That 'VR' logo in the middle is just a kind of plastic 'jewel' that spins quite freely, but doesn't seem to come off. The metal section that it is mounted on is like a giant bolt, and then about an inch wider than that, the center of the wheel clearly comes off (and presumably gives access to the wheel nuts?). Anyone got any idea how I actually get to them though? My initial thinking is that the logo 'jewel' comes off to reveal a bolt that hold the whole centre of the wheel on. Then, once off, the wheel nuts are visible under the center section of the wheel? I don't want to start hacking away at them though without knowing what I am trying to do! Cheers, J
  2. Hmmm .. well the place where I inflated the tyres is at a dusty kind of farm. As I left I noticed that the tyre that I knew was a bit flat had dust/mud on the outside of the tyre wall, whereas the other rear tyre only had dust on the actual surface of the tyre. I am guessing that the dust/mud got there when the tyre was flat, as opposed to after I had re-inflated it? Anyway ... I guess I had better go get them checked out (if I can figure out how to get the wheels off - Cashpoint knows what I mean ) . I also guess that if one needs changing, then they both will! Grrrr! Cheers, J
  3. Hi guys, After hearing a dull *thudding* noise when moving at low speeds, and having noticed that my rear drivers side wheel was VERY low, I went to check the pressures this evening. After reading through some posts earlier, I knew I was looking for pressures around 32-36 ish. The fronts were't too bad .... Both around 28 or so ... so I took them up to 34. BUT ... the flat rear read LESS than 10 psi, and the other wasn't much better!! They didn't look much lower than the fronts though (apart from the one I knew was low). I wiggled the hose about a bit thinking that it wasn't connected properly ... but it still read below 10. I inflated both until the compressor read 20 psi ... then I got scared that I was over-inflating them, so I left it there . Some of the air that came out of the rear tyre smelt horrible, and I feel pretty ropey now because of it Anyway ... driving the car afterwards, it felt much smoother on the road (although I had a horrible feeling that a tyre could explode at any point ) , and I could hear slight squeaking from the shocks every now and again ... presumably becuase the air made them a bit stiffer? Anyway ... sorry to go on, just a bit worried now. My tyres are the following: - Front: Bridgestone Grid 2 - 245 / 40 / 18 Rear : Bridgestone Grid 2 - 275 / 35 / 18 Any ideas? Cheers, J
  4. Tsk ... Go on then ... I should be able to make it! Although, like Nick ... I probably won't get there until about 8.30-9.00, so I won't bother with food either (may not be able to hang about for too long either, but it would be good to meet you guys!). I have copied in the list above and added myself to the bottom: - Supragal HISUPE Faye SteveW2 Trig10uk (+1?) Scooter Pulse (written in pencil, if you can't tell) Jive SteveW Paul E Far ! 5. Hi guys Got a few pics of Boxhill, and some of the PistonHeads meet the following day, on my site here: - Bouncing Bullet Gallery It was nice to meet a few owners at both meets who could fill me in on a few more details about the new car (woo hoo ... I got UK Spec brakes without realising ) Cheers, J
  6. Hi guys, I couldn't find a post about this, so I thought I would check to see if anyone knows (although I am aware there is an RR day on the same day too?)! There is a Boxhill meet on Saturday this weekend (25th Oct), followed by a drive down to Brighton (can't make that part myself). More details are on the 'JapUKMeets' forum here: - http://www.japmobiles.com/japukmeets/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1982&whichpage=1 . I'll be heading up there for around 1pm ... would be great to meet some of you guys and maybe learn a bit more about the new car Cheers, J
  7. My Concept 300 is doing the same kind of thing. It seems to be when I park it too close to a tree in the driveway! 4.00am it went off ... Neighbours loved it! LOL Now, when I lock it, I set it to 'valet mode' (by pressing the 'star' and the 'headlight' button after I have locked it). It hasn't gone off since I have been locking it like that .... but it kinda defeats the object of having the sensor in the first place! From what I saw when the guy was fitting it, most of the electronic 'trickery' was stored in the center console, under the handbrake area? Cheers, J
  8. - Heh heh ... I do love Supras . Is yours the one on Page 1 then Steve W. Next to the UK one with the bonnet vent and the front splitter down (which I assume is Bobbeh's ) Glad you like the pics Cheers, J VERY annoyed cos a Bimmer M5 ploughed into the back of me on the way home from work tonight  :flame Dev
  9. Hi guys, Finally got my piccies from Sunday sorted out. I have tried to remove all of the numberplates, so if anyone spots one that is still readable, let me know and I will get rid of it ASAP: - Bouncing Bullet Gallery (Just click on 'Bracknell May '03' down at the bottom) If you want any Hi-Res copies of any of the pics, drop me a mail. Some of them make great desktop wallpaper Cheers, James
