  1. That looks awesome Agndrs  Where did you get the bonnet from BTW? I've been 'umming' and 'errrring' over the Ridox and the AB Flug bonnets for a while, but I haven't been able to find anyone that sells the Ridox one! Cheers, J
  2. I literally ordered some 245/40/18 Goodyear F1's today for the front (got 275's on the rear). They will be here, and are being fitted tomorrow. What's more, they were £118 each including fitting, balancing etc etc etc which I reckon is pretty good? This was from a place called 'Martins' in West End (near Bisley, Windlesham etc etc). Cheers, J
  3. Hmmm .... good point! I told them that I had a non-standard Apexi air-filter ... those were my exact words? I hate the way they purposefully employ retards so that they can plead ignorance when it comes to making a claim
  4. Just got my renewal through from Admiral: - £625 fully comp on a 1995 RZ  Age 25, 6 years NCB, 'good' postcode. Mods: Front Bumper, Volks Wheels, Exhaust, Air Filter Won't insure boost and fuel controllers at the mo though :twak: Cheers, J
  5. Hmmmm - I had best try and find one of these rubber strips then! I do have the rubber stip at the front of the bonnet? The one, as Dangerous says, that goes between the lights? I just don't have one down the sides of the bonnet. I didn't check for corrosion really, no. It was about 11pm and my torch battery was dying - LOL. I'll have a look today though. Cheers, J
  6. Well, aint that the darndest thang  Plucked out the 'ST' fuse ... all fine, put it back in. Plucked out the 'Rad 2' fuse (figured it could mean 'Radio') ... all fine, put it back in. Popped the bonnet Went to the fuses on the passenger side under the bonnet, Plucked out the 'Rad 1' fuse ... all fine, put it back in. Looked in the car, radio flashing ... working again! WTF?? Must be a loose connection on that fuse or something as all I did was take it out and shove it back in! Bizarre - Damn those electrical gremlins! All sorted now though .. cheers for all the help  J
  7. Hmmm .... I've just been out and had a look at the fuses (in the footwell), the one for the stereo (7 Amps) seems fine. I am assuming that it's the one that says 'ST' next to the ingnition fuse? Cheers, J
  8. Hmmm, curses ..... doesn't look like I have those. I just took a quick picture (attached) you can clearly see into the engine bay through the gap .... is that where you have the rubber? I do have the big bit of rubber at the top of the engine bay though, under the windscreen wipers. Cheers, J
  9. Rubber seal you say!! Hmmmm! Not sure I have that? I can see the airfilter through the gap in the side of the bonnet (see attached pic) - is that where the rubber seal should be? I've always thought that was a bit wierd that there was such a big, uncovered gap there!! Cheers, J
  10. Actually .... now that you mention it. I usually have my little home-made airbox on the car, which covers the filter up (as seen HERE). But I took this off recently to respray it, and I haven't put it back on yet! Maybe some water has landed on the filter element, and then got sucked in when I started the car up  . Still doesn't explain why my radio died though!! Cheers, J
  11. Cheers for all the help guys! The car started fine this morning ... no probs at all  BUT ...... My stereo now has no power at all . The little red power indicator light doesn't come on, and I can get the motorised screen to come out. There is clearly some kind of screwy electrical problem going on after 'something' got wet in there!! Grrrrrr Cheers, J
  12. I just squirt it with a hose, wash with Zymol or something, squirt with water again, shammy and polish .... Job done!! It does seem a bit strange as surely people with TRD bonnets etc get a load of water in there? How do I do engine diagnostics then :music: ? Cheers, J
  13. Hmmmm, I've just washed my car, and now it won't start . It turns over, but it just sounds really 'ill'. It doesn't sound as if it is anywhere near to catching and starting!! Is there a known problem with Supras after they get wet? What could have got wet that is causing this? In the past, after washing the car, I've started it up and seen a red warning triangle on the dash when the handbrake is on ... but that normally goes after 5 mins or so!! (1 hour later) ........ Okay ....... I just tried the car again, and it started .... JUST!! It coughed and spluttered and finally started. Although it was accompanied by a HUGE cloud of smoke from the exhaust. I just took it for a quick drive and it felt ok ... I'm just worried that this is a sign of something more sinister? Cheers, J
  14. Yep ... was good to see everyone again last night. Weather sucked on the way down, but it was okay going home! Cheers for the stickers and cards SG, and good to see that you have finally got your supe Richard :p Check me out though! I took a wrong turning going home, ended up heading into Kingston somehow . I then just followed signs for the M25 and ended up getting back on at Junction 8!!!!! The pub was right next to Junction 10 - How the HELL did I manage to get to J8  J
  15. Yeah .... I'll have to scoot off fairly early too!! Done a bit of double-booking this evening!! Not until 9pm or so though!! Cheers, J p.s. A curse on the rain last night - I gave the car a quick wash after work last night ..... RUINED
  16. Cool ... well the chances are that I will have things to do at work anyway, so 7pm is fine. I'll just head out to the layby for 7pm and wait. I'm literally 15 seconds away, so it's no biggie if you are a bit late Cheers, J
  17. Cool ... Well I actually finish at 6pm, so I can do anytime from then onwards really??
  18. I haven't got the slightest clue where the pub is ... LOL .... I don't even know what it's called. I don't think I've ever been to Cobham, but it can't be that hard?? J11 would be cool - How does 7pm sound? There is a layby at the side of the short stretch of dual carriageway heading up to the J11 roundabout (if you are coming from the St. Peters Hospital direction). That's a good place to meet? Cheers, J
  19. Sorry .... Just clocked this one!!!! Yeah ... I reckon I can do this one! I work 30 secs from J11 of the M25, and Cobham is J10 (It is still in Cobham, right????). Nick .... I can pop back to Windlesham from work though if you want, and we can 'convoy' up from there?? Either that, or I can meet you just by M25 J11 (there is a layby on the dual carriageway heading to the J11 roundabout?) ... Whatever is easiest for you? OR .... we go from Windlesham to Guildford Halfords and take it from there?? 1. Skyjawa 2. T Bourner 3. Faye 4. Trig 5. MrAngry 6. Supragal 7. STOX 8. millhouse 9. NEO 10. Ashley Willis 11. Nick 12. 21. Heh heh .... Mine sounds okay ... Very loud and 'racey' sounding with the HKS Hiper... Although sometimes too loud!!! I could get used to it to be honest though. One thing I have noticed is that my turbo timer now sets itself at twice as long as normal on auto mode. For example, my drive to work normally results in my turbo timer saying 45 seconds or so to 'warm down'. Now, it says at least 1min 30secs for 'warm down'? Cheers, J
  22. Ahhhh, yes .... I did need to cut a longer length of hose for that bit - it was bit of a stretch otherwise!
  23. Hopefully this pic will help to clear it up?
  24. Are you sure you took the right hose off. The two hoses shown in that pic are hidden RIGHT behind two very similar looking hoses. Hold on ..... I'll go get a pic of mine for you .....
