  1. Ahhh ... Heh heh! Nah, I never get spotted either ... always spot other Supe's when I am driving something else! I know Fernhurst fairly well ... we play Cricket against them Cheers, J
  2. Hurrah ... finally a spotted that worked!! Yeah, I just spotted the back of your car as you went down the hill. Mine was parked over on the far side of the pitch, but I doubt you would have noticed it from the road. Are you local to there then? Cheers J
  3. Just caught the back end of a Silver Supra driving through Thursley on Saturday afternoon - Fairly sure it was a J-Spec. I was playing Cricket there, which is why I only saw the back end as it went down the hill! On a similar note ... I also saw a MKIII on the way there on the A3. I shot past you and pulled in, and you repaid the favour with a fly-past and a wave .... Was it you?
  4. ALWAYS going to be Fraggle Rock. The Doozers were sooo cool. I have got most of the episodes on VCD with a little help from 'Mr. Bit Torrent . Cheers, J
  5. OMG ... I only just saw this! My deepest condolances Sheena, I can't even begin to know how you are feeling! Thoughts are with you and the family ... stay strong. J xx
  6. Just come straight to the last page here, so this may well be a 'repost' but ....... where is the Rock option??? Nothing better than crusing in the Supe to a bit of Guns 'n' Roses, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Creed, Chilli Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins etc etc etc... you get the idea ! Cheers, J
  7. Yep ... we've got two of them, and have always had them for as long as I can remember! That's the Mother in the picture, and we kept one of her puppies too Here is a pic of the puppy. She was messing about in the shed when the box fell on her. It was empty, but she decided that it was really heavy and wouldn't move until someone lifted the bpx up . You can just about see the disapproving look on her Mothers' face Squashed Oh ... and just for you Rosie ... this is Barry!! Cheers, J
  8. She rocked up the other day with a hedgehog hanging out the side of her mouth - Not sure how she got it, but it was covered in duckweed so we assumed it had been for a swim in the pond!! We left it outside overnight (not looking too healthy) hoping that it would make its' way home. It was still there in the morning, half uncurled, with bubbles coming out of its' nose and shivering like crazy. Didn't look great at all :thumbdown . But Doctor Doolittle here put it in the shed with a load of straw nicked from the horses' stable, and a tray of dog food (hedgehogs love it!). 4 Days later it had found its' feet again and was climbing all over the shed looking much better. Left the shed door open overnight and it made its' way home by itself .... ahhhhh ... very rewarding! Rolf Harris eat your heart out!! Cheers, J
  9. Exxxcellent (Mr. Burns styleeee). That's exactly what I needed to hear! Who's good at this sort of thing then? Need to go down to Paul K sometime soon for an outstanding 'shiny bit', and I know he has welding capability there, so I guess I can just get it done whilst it's there? Cheers, J
  10. Hi all, This is something that I have wanted to do for almost 2 years now, and I think I have FINALLY found the pipe to do it with My HKS Hiper has a silencer about halfway down that I want to remove. I have seen other models of Hiper (I think the newer ones) that don't have this silencer, and they sound great. The other reason is that this hangs down a bit lower than the rest of the system and it is ALWAYS hitting speed bumps, dips etc etc. It's only a matter of time before it hits something badly and takes most of the system with it! What I want to know is if this even looks possible (ie. can someone with welding experience see if this is possible). The silencer itself is probably just over a foot long. The biggest problem that I can see is that the pipe going in is on a slightly different level to the pipe coming out of the silencer. I have attached a couple of pics showing the silencer, and the pipe that I have to bypass it with .. can anyone tell me if this is possible? Cheers, James
  11. Heh heh, So there I was, chilling at home last night, when I hear a 'weird' bark from one of the dogs outside. After a while you get to know what certain barks mean when you hear them from your dog, and I knew that this one was a 'Hey ... You inside ... Come see what I did' kind of bark. So I open the door and this is the sight that greeted me ... Heh heh ... Legend!! She was very proud of herself Cheers, J
  12. Would love to be there, but those evil people at EA make me work like a slave , so I don't think I'm gonna have time to get there and back in an hour! Enjoy though. If it's a good place for a meet, maybe we can do a weekend day one sometime too? Cheers, J
  13. Looks exactly like my Mums' horse (which is also female). Her name is .... wait for it ...... BARRY!!! I've never really figured that one out to be honest with you. Something to do with her stable name being 'Baroness' something! White horse ... I'd go for Shadowfax (I'm such a geek!!) Cheers, J
  14. My favourite Summer piccy (although I think it's time for an update with my new 'additions') : -
  15. Actually ... failing this, does anyone know where I can get a new one of these asap? Is there anywhere that I can order one online, or do I have to speak to Totyota directly so they can rip me off :thumbdown Don't fancy being stuck in this heat with a window that doesn't work Cheers, J
  16. Heh heh! I have used an elaborate mix of cable ties and string to wrap around the 'runner' that the window sits in to hold it up. It's very 'mickey mouse' .. but it seems to be doing the job for now!! Jagman ... What sort of money are you looking for! I deffo need the new mechanism as far as I can tell! Basically, all you can see here: - Window Mechanism Cheers, James
  17. Arrrrghhhh!! My window motor seemed to die yesterday. Looks like the metal wire inside has become twisted and frayed. The motor is probably okay, but it's just not moving! Luckily the window was up at the time! Just got home from work, closed the car door, and the drivers window has just slowly 'sunk' down. The window controls have no effect at all. So now I am stuck with a window that's wide open, and no way of closing it!! I've got the door card off and there seems to be what looks like a white square of plastic on the wire. It looks like it should be in a runner or something, but I can't find one to fit it into (not easy in there either!). Anyone got any ideas? I've got about an hour to sort this out, or I'm going to have to leave my car with the window wide open overnight!! Cheers, J
  18. I'm sure we will see more of the Medal of Honour series on PC . There is Medal of Honour European Assault coming out on the consoles in a few weeks. Personally, I HATE FPS games on consoles ... it's all about the PC. I must be the only person in existence that hates Halo!! Although, I have to admit, I've been quite enjoying Battlefield Modern Combat on the consoles. MOH on the next gen consoles should be pretty good though if they put the effort in. CoD2 should be very good though. Most of the guys that made that used to work for EA on MOH (you can tell by the VERY similar HUD, Text style etc etc). I'm sure there will be plenty of Mods released for BF2 before you know it (Like DC for 1942). These will no doubt have all sorts of weapon changes in them to cater for everyone (like the single shot kill sniper rifles ). Cheers, J
  19. Yeah .. the sniper rifle thing has always been a feature of BF. It was the same sort of deal in 1942, although it was mainly 2 shots there. Single shot to the head always works which is good. A single shot should really be an outright kill, but that is often a gripe of peeps that play MOH and Counter-Strike so I think they have tried to counteract that a bit in BF2.
  20. Sorry .. only just seen this! We approved the game today (I work for EA ), and bugger me if it isn't awesome!! I've managed to stop myself from playing it at work too much, but it's looking great! If you like BF1942 and BFNAM (especially the Desert Combat mod), then you will LOVE this! My only problem is drawing myself away from the geeky abyss that is World of Warcraft!! Cheers, J
  21. Nice looking white Supra driving through Chiddingfold (near Petworth, Milford etc) this afternoon. I was the idiot waving in the middle of the cricket pitch whilst batting! LOL (I got 42 runs ... get in!!). My Supe was parked just round the corner next to an R33 GTR! Was it you?
  22. Got mine yesterday ... looking good, cheers dude. Got to work Saturday AND Sunday though so I'm not sure when I'll get the chance for a test run! Cheers, J
  23. Was definately a good day today. I figured that I would turn up a bit after 11 as I didn't think it would be too busy with the rain ...... WRONG! Couldn't believe how many cars were there despite the miserable weather Good to see a few of the usual faces today, and there were some great cars on show. Not sure how ... but I've already got my pictures up (got them all in hi-res ... just mail me and I will send you a 'proper' copy'). Just click on the 'Bolney 2005' link (duh! ): - Bouncing Bullet Gallery Cheers, James

    supra v r33gtr

Hello, and welcome. I can't really comment on the performance of the R33. We have an R32 GTR and that is very nice and strong (fast too ). But, as Chris says, the engine seems a bit of a pig to work on. Also parts seem to be more expensive (you seem to need 2 of everything in most cases! ). You might want to check out the insurance though. That is the the thing that sealed it for me when I was making the same decision. R33 GTR - £1600 FC, Supra 6 Speed Manual TT - £800 FC, easy choice Either way, good luck with your choice Cheers, J
  25. Saw a Silver J-Spec on the M3 near J4 heading in the London direction this morning. Looked fairly standard, but I couldn't see that well with the barriers in the way. I was on the other side of the motorway in the black one if you saw me Cheers, J
