  1. Saw a black Supra driving past the Grayswood cricket pitch at about 3pm this afternoon. Heading from Milford out towards Haselmere. Saw it again at about 6.30pm driving back from the Haselmere direction towards Milford. I was on the pitch playing cricket . Don't know if you saw my Supe or not ... it was in the car park! Was it you? Cheers, J
  2. Do you know if the guys have locked down the Skyline RR runs over there yet? I'm sure my Brother would love to bring his R32 GTR along. I'm also up for it if my car is on the road at the time ........ Cheers, J
  3. I'm not 100% sure what's in there at the moment as we've only been seeing very early versions. It looks pretty slick though ... a bit more like Burnout. You could always try and get through to our PR department and see if there is any promotional stuff you could do with them. They seem to have some sort of tie with Sumo at the moment though. Cheers, J
  4. Working on it right now .... I keep trying to get EA to sponsor my car instead of some overpriced Sumo thing! Makes sense to me ... I mean, I work here for God's sake!
  5. Oh GOD ONLY KNOWS we try!! We argue and moan until we are blue in the face about these issues. Unfortunately the 'big guys' at the top of the company don't actually think to listen what hardcore gamers are saying .... they listen to the hardcore shareholders!! You can 'sort of' play co-op in BF2, but you can't really set up a custom game. You can start a singleplayer campaign, and then other people can join on the LAN by using the host PC's IP address. It's a bit convoluted ... but it kinda works. I went absolutely f***ing MENTAL when I found out that Co-Op had been screwed! My brother and I used to take on entire armies by ourself in 1942 and Desert Combat!! Mind you ... Burnout 4 is looking tasty!
  6. I work in the computer games industry (EA) Been there 5 years and still love every second of it! It's like being paid to go to Uni every day - although I do work some shocking hours!! And yes ... I do take bribes. And yes traders, and I will swap games for car parts - hehehe (worth a try!) . Cheers, J ps. On a very geeky note ... anyone playing World of Warcraft
  7. I'm with Gazboy .... I consider myself to be one of the aforementioned 'retards' of which he speaks!! . Especially worried about finding someone close by that can install it and set it all up for me. Also, will I have problems with the SBC ID3 and Powermeter that I already have spliced into the the OEM ECU? I guess it shouldn't really impact anything? Cheers, J
  8. Oooooh ... Cheers peeps. Looks like I can go and bother everyone on that thread. £400 isn't bad though considering the one on Ebay is £460 with the VAT added on. AND you don't get the harness etc. I'm just thinking what I would need to 'Single-Proof' my car having read Clarkey_Sparkey's thread. Plus, I guess I wouldn't need my SAFC 2 (Funky limited D1 Edition) anymore, so I could always sell that to fund an E-manage (although my Bro will probably have it for his Skyline ) Cheers, J
  9. Probably being really dumb here ... but what is the difference between these two E-Manage units? They are both from the same seller, but at hugely differing cost. One is the 'Ultimate' ... but does it really have that many useful features to justify the higher cost?: - E-Manage 1 E-Manage 2 Currently running 550 injectors and SAFC2 to control them. But would an E-Manage be a worthy investment to cover everything? Pretty clueless with all this sort of thing, but it would be nice to have everything all set up properly with ignition timing control too. Cheers, J
  10. Just saw you leaving the BP Garage in Lightwater (about 7.30). Very nice looking silver J-Spec with personalised 'K' reg plate. As usual (whenever I see another Supra) I was in a different car! I was the guy standing next to the TVR Chimaera at the side of the road staring at you Was it you? Cheers, J
  11. Maybe it was his car then? It was on the other side of the motorway, so I didn't really get a good look, but I could have sworn the bonnet was silver. If it was Dude's ..... who was driving!!
  12. The bonnet was silver too. Don't think it was Dude's
  13. Saw this one at about 5.45pm. I was up the M3 towards London and you were on the other side of the motorway heading into Southampton. Had what looked suspiciously like a Nissan Pulsar (GTI-R) bonnet scoop on it? Anyone on here? 4 spots in one day today! A record for me!! Cheers, J
  14. Saw this one parked up in a side road just off the main road going through Totton. Nice wheels As I drove past someone was standing in the middle of the road and pointing frantically at me, so I gave a wave . Really nice looking Supe. Was it you? Cheers, J
  15. Saw this on the dual carriageway just going past Totton (S'oton) at about 5.30 ish this afternoon. Anyone on here? Cheers, J
  16. Spotted this at about 11.45 this morning heading North on the M3 towards London. I was on the other side of the motorway heading into Southampton, but I managed to flash my lights and wave Was it you? Cheers, J
  17. If the cars working (and I'm not ), I'll be there
  18. Ahhh! LOL ... I didn't even think of that. I guess that would explain the 'faster than normal' useage that I have seen this time. To be perfectly honest, I can't remember what I put in the car before!! No idea what was put in during the service either! Heh heh, I'm crap at this!
  19. Heh heh ... Yeah ... I'm sure I'm worrying too much. I do tend to check the levels fairly frequently, and I was just worried as I've never seen it go down that fast! Oh well ... I'll keep enjoying it then!!
  20. I just went out and checked properly. I used EXACTLY 1 litre of oil to get it 3/4 of the way up the dipstick. I'm not sure if that's good or bad?? Certainly not hearing any new rattles or funny noises .... although I have been running in TTC for the past week which pretty much drowns out ANY noises at all ... LOL Cheers, J
  21. I don't think it's really fair to mention this publicly unless I am 100% sure there is any wrong-doing on their part. There's every chance that this has nothing to do with the work I had done, and my engine is just chewing up oil. I'll tell you via PM if you want JohnA - When you start to mention things like rods and crank bearings I start to get nervous. To be honest, after I drove away from my guys, the light didn't come back on until I got to the garage ... about 5 mins away. There probably is plenty in there kicking about in the sump. I will try the whole 'drain the system' thing at the weekend .... although oil is damned expensive stuff (although I guess not as expensive as a blown engine!!) Cheers, J
  22. LOL TonyHawk ... Not a great comfort no! But any excuse to go single will do me I'm thinking that it just wasn't filled up very well during the service? There have definately been no noticable leaks, puddles etc etc. No smoke on startup at all, and no puffs of blue smoke when changing gear. I get the odd cloud of black smoke when I first mash the 'happy pedal' on a drive .... but I know that I am running slightly rich at the moment. Need4Speed - Definately dipped it correctly. Did it myself about 10 times as I couldn't believe what I was seeing - LOL. I then had my bodywork/mechanic look at it, and he agreed! Fingers crossed all is cool
  23. Arrrghhh .... why is it that when one thing goes wrong (in this case my amps/subs), a load of other stuff screws up at the same time! Driving home just now, my orange oil light flicked on . Luckily I was RIGHT next to a petrol station, so I dived in and checked the dipstick. The result ... NOTHING ... NADA .... NONE!!! . The only oil on the dipstick was the residue from the side of the chamber! The most worrying part about this is that I had a FULL service (cam belt, all fluids etc etc) no more than 600 miles ago! I have had no oil leaks, the driveway is totally clear, so where has all the oil gone? Thirsty turbos? I panicked and went into the petrol station shop to buy any oil that I could get my hands on. I ended up with Castrol GTX Magnatec 10w-40. It was about the best stuff that I could see in there. I know NOTHING about oils, so is this any good? It's not going to destroy my car or anything ... it really was an emergency oil purchase?? It better be okay as it cost the best part of £35! Cheers! J
  24. There's another Windlesham???? No .. I'm in Windlesham, Surrey. Near Ascot etc. Right next to M3 J3
  25. Just saw a nice sounding, fairly standard looking, dark green 'M' reg UK spec Supra in Windlesham (7pm ish). Not one that I've ever seen around here before? Typically enough, I was not in my Supra (always the way) ... I was the gormless looking guy staring at you from the British Racing Green TVR Chimaera just past 'Unwins' wine merchants. Anyone on here???
