  1. Spotted on Friday driving around the Chertsey area in Surrey. Dark green, standard looking Supe. If you noticed it, I was the crazy guy giving you a thumbs up from the big green Range Rover If all goes to plan, I will be in the Supra next time you see me. Should get it back on Friday after almost 8 months!!! Cheers, J
  2. Does anyone have a rear plate where the numbers and letters are split onto different lines in a non-strictly standard way . Not sure that makes sense really. Example: - Standard Square Rear Numberplate Display: - A12 ABC Not so Standard Display: - A1 2ABC Does anyone have thier rear plate like that? 2 digits on the top line and 4 on the bottom? If so ... have you had any issues with it? Cheers, J
  3. Oh dear .... Rod Stewart - Do You Think I'm Sexy And .. out of some sick, sick, curiosity .. I decided to do a search for what was number 1 exactly 9 months earlier (if you catch my drift ) ABBA - Take a Chance on Me Oh God .... this is a BAD image I have in my head now
  4. I did it too over a year ago. Been fine, had no problems. I run in standard SEQ mode most of the time, but every now and again it's fun to flick the switch and unleash hell .. it's LOUD. And it kicks you right back into the seat when both turbos come on together I even wrote a guide on how I did it HERE if it helps? Cheers, J
  5. Prot spec Warriors own in WSG. Just pick up the flag and tank it home. Pain in the ass to stop. I don't have a single point in def .. lol
  6. *ding ding* Job done. Hit Grand Marshal today! Nice. I'm now swaggering around Ironforge with a sword twice the size of me, looking hard! Owned
  7. I noticed that. It was like he was plunging his finger up it's arse like some sort of convenient carrying handle. Oh ... and I could have done without some of those tight angle shots of the back of the Woman judging it .... /shudder
  8. I got 2 of these. They are evil, pure evil. Leave them alone for 2 mins, and the house will be torn to shreds : - http://myspace-468.vo.llnwd.net/00067/86/42/67552468_l.jpg
  9. Cheers guys, Well .. I know it will be back bigger and better than before. Whilst it's off the road I am: - - Refurbing the Wheels Cleaning the FMIC - Having a mould of my front bumper made (anyone interested - Rare as hell ) - Full Respray - Boot Rubbers etc etc It's just annoying, cos a cold, dry, day like today is PERFECT Supra weather. And I don't have one!!!
  10. Aye .. which is the exact reason I chose my own guys that I trust (I'm sure most people would do the same given the option). And I seem to be being heavily penalised for making that choice Sorry, but a specialist car needs a specialist garage. It's not like it's a Fiesta or a Nova with a dent, but I suspect that's how an approved garage would treat it. Just another job to get out of the door as fast as possible.
  11. Not impressed with Ensign/Claimtec at all at the moment. All the legwork has been done by me. It's me phoning them all the time to ask for updates. And I usually get a very grumpy, uninterested, sounding person who I think just wants to get me off the phone. It's also my bodywork guys that have to phone them and chase approvals time and time again. They are fuming about it as everything is taking so long.
  12. Well ... It's time for another update!! The car has now been off the road since the accident on the 24th of November .. WELL over 3 months. It took a month for any of the repairs to be approved which sucked New door arrived .... dented and screwed up. My bodywork guys were offered it at a 40% discount if they repaired it. Quite rightly they said "thanks, but no thanks". We ordered a brand new door ... that's what we want!!! So a new, 100% ok, door has now arrived and is on the car. After removing the wheel that took the impact, we soon realised that the hub had actually been bent too. Another 3 weeks of non-stop phone calls, faxes and e-mails until a new hub was finally approved . Now, in all this time, my guys have obviously had other cars come in. So now I have to wait for them to clear out the other customers' cars before they can finally get mine done! I am, however, taking this opportunity to get the car resprayed. At the moment we are looking at a very dark Honda metallic blue. It almost looks black until it catches the light. All in all though, we're looking at 4 months of no Supra . I have no hire car because I chose to use my own (trusted) garage, which has been a nightmare getting to work. My guys have had my car taking up space for 4 months. I have NO IDEA whose fault the accident is still. No calls, no communication ... nothing. Until then, I have no chance of a hire car or anything. If it does turn out to be the other party's fault, can I claim for lack of car (I have missed loads of days at work!!), storage costs etc etc? This whole experience has left me (and my bodywork guys) WELL out of pocket so far ... and incredibly frustrated :( . I just want my car back now! Cheers, J
  13. Hi guys, Car is still off the road at the moment being repaired/resprayed etc. But the front bumper is also off, so I may get my guys to take the IC off and check for oil then. The FMIC hasn't come off for the 2 years that I've had the car .... possibly longer. I did buy a catch tank a while back, but after wandering around the engine bay for about an hour I could find absolutely NOWHERE even slightly plausible to put it: - PICCY Cheers, J
  14. *ding* Field Marshal Hoping for 3-4 weeks to hit Grand Marshal. Then maybe I can get some sleep and see if I have an friends left
  15. Ooooh! Candy Black sounds good. I remember seeing a picture of a Candy Red Supra, and it looked stunning ... almost chrome like it was so shiny! Are those colours made by a particular company?
  16. Liking the sound of Lambo black. What do you reckon to metallic. Standard is non-metallic. The Merc black seems like a very 'fine' style metallic if you see what I mean!
  17. Okay, So the Supe is getting a full respray. I want to keep it black, but I'm not sure what type of black. I quite like the Merc Metallic Black, but I haven't done too much research! Anyone know any particularly good blacks. I want it to be a really black, black. The kind that looks like it might suck you in if you get too close! . Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Cheers, J
  18. Shhhh .. Jealous. Been without mine for over 2 months now, and am unlikely to see it for at least another month! I can't begin to express how much I want it back now
  19. Yeah ... I haven't had a problem with Sky at all. Infact they have been about the only helpful and friendly people in the process. The problems I have been having are with the claims company and the other persons' insurance company I guess. All I want to know is whose fault it is, cos I really really really need some kind of courtesy car. The inconvenience that I am going through now is horrendous for something that may well not be my fault
  20. This is true indeed. And the damage starts at the back of my passenger door, so I was actually halfway past her at the time! But unfortunately I am screwed until the claims company comes to some sort of decision!
  21. She pulled out into me ... ... the only point of contention was that I started to indicate to turn into the junction that she pulled out of, but then remembered that I was going to the Dentist that morning and had to go straight on. So I cancelled, and continued.
  22. Update Time ..... 49 days after accident! The car was finally assesed about 5 days before Christmas (1 month after the accident!). Of course this meant that we couldn't order any parts as most people had already shut down for the holiday .. sigh So ... Finally managed to order parts (new door etc) on the 4th of Jan, but it hasn't turned up yet. Wheel(s) are being sent off to be X-rayed and refurbed sometime next week, which will be good, but other than that, not a great deal has happened The BIGGEST problem by a LONG way is that I still have no idea whose fault it was. Because I am using my own bodyshop (sorry .. I'm not trusting ANYONE that I don't know with my car ) I am not entitled to a hire car unless it was the other person's fault. I can't go and hire a car on the assumption that it won't be my fault, as that could get VERY expensive if they decide that it is! So I am really, really struggling at the mo trying to find a way to get to work ... It's driving me insane! I just want my car back  Oh well. Rant over .. watch this space.
  23. Do any traders have these in stock right now. My car repairs are underway, and I could really do with replacing my bust side skirt. The CF Ridox ones are cool, but I guess either style will do (I can't imagine the CF ones are particulary easy to fix if they take a hit? If not, I'm after a set of the factory option Toyota (plastic) side skirts to replace my damaged one? Still trying to find out if Volks center caps are a universal fitment too? I really need some new ones for my Evolution VI's Cheers, J
  24. Heh heh .. Yep, more Volks centre caps wanted! But these are for my Volks Evolution IV (18"). I am yet to see another car with the same wheels, so I am not sure how easy/hard it is to get these? Are they a universal thing? My wheels are all being refurbished while the accident damage is repaired, so it would be nice to replace the shoddy centre caps. Traders? Anyone? Here is a pic of the wheels .... http://www.bouncingbullet.com/gallery/supra/images/bn_DSC00114_JPG.jpg Cheers, J
