  1. Saw the first one pulling into the Sunningdale Station carpark while I was waiting to be picked up. Sounded very nice, had black graphics down the doors. Then saw the second one pulling off the A30 and going down Devenish Lane. It was an 'L' reg, but I was in the Range Rover at the time! Don't see them very often around here, so to see two within an hour of each other is a pleasant suprise! If you are local, then I propose a Sunningdale mini-meet Cheers, J
  2. heh heh ... indeed! Oh well, nevermind, 1000 times better than my old ones either way
  3. Yah, saw yours Heckler .. look really good The problem is that if I go horizontal, the screw-hole at the top (from my old pins) in the pic below will be left exposed. I can't think of any way to fill it that won't end up looking rubbish! p.s. Yes Darragh, that's the template on my bonnet in the pics
  4. I saw them on another one with a CF bonnet and they were vertical, infact, doing a google search, there seem to be a few that are vertical. I prefer horizontal to be honest, but I don't want to have to look at the holes left by my old pins everyday, that would drive me nuts. Vertical will solve that problem
  5. Howdy guys, Is anyone else using Aero Catch Bonnet Pins on their Supra? Just got my hands on a set to replace my shoddy old, rusting pins .. thus: - But I have a dilemma. If I fit them vertically as in the picture below, it looks like I am going to end up with a gap under the lip of the catch due to the curvature of the bonnet, as seen in the pics below: - My other option is to fit them 'horizontally' rather than vertically, which seems to eliminate the gap caused by the bonnet curve. However, I will be left with a couple of small screw-holes in the bonnet from the old pins (these holes will be covered up if I go for the vertical fitment). Horizontal will look something like this:- Has anyone else fitted these, does the curvature of the bonnet not make much difference once they are seated, or did you have to put a bit of silocone in there or something to seal it up? Any help is much appreciated. Cheers, J
  6. Nice, clean and standard looking silver MKIV. See you fairly often on the way to work in the mornings, and we exchange waves . I'm in the black one with the Top Secret 2 CF bonnet (incase you see any others in the area ). Cheers, J
  7. Not sure if you sold this yet Paul? But to be honest, for all the people complaining about the paint, you could pay the asking price for this car, get a respray, and still walk away with a bargain considering the money that's been spent on upgrades and the mileage If I didn't already have one .. I would
  8. heh heh ... I can only assume that was you alongside me today . Doesn't take a genius to figure that out! Really nice looking car though! Nice and clean! Sorry .. mine was a little dirty! Didn't get a chance to clean her up at the weekend . Next time you see me it will be all shiney, I promise Nice to finally bump into another Supra though! I also see a silver one in the mornings on the A322 near Bisley and we exchange a wave .. that one looks quite standard though (but it's in the morning and I'm not really awake enough to see for sure ) Cheers, J
  9. I'll keep an eye out for all you lot too then! I've been away working in Madrid for 2 years, but I'm back now, and working in Guildford! I'll either be in the black Supra, white Evo IV or gunmetal R32 GTR ... ... I'm definately into Jap Crap
  10. Yah ... she has a Top Secret CF bonnet on her now. The pics were taken with the standard bonnet before I fitted the CF one
  11. Ahhhh, that's sounds like it's probably my car (pics on my site in the sig below should confirm it)! I'm actually back out in Madrid at the moment, but I think my Brother might be using it whilst his R32 GTR is having some work done! He works in Farnbrough so goes from J3 to J4 of the M3 if that's where you saw it? Cheers for the comments though. Don't worry, it's bitter-sweet to hear that you saw it too when it wasn't me driving it! I'm going to have words with my Brother tonight ... gearbox oil is low and if he's running it around the place too much, I'll kill him! Cheers, J
  12. Bit slow on this one ... just catching up with things! That might have been me. I work in Chertsey and I'm often in the Weybridge, Chobham, Windlesham area . That's the road I take to get home some days Cheers, J
  13. I tried the UK site, and they just told me that PIAA Japan has discontinued this item I did see a few of them on the Yahoo Japan auctions though, so I've got a guy at work who's Brother works in Japan on the case for me. Hopefully he can bid on some and get them. Although there was a wierd twist of fate when I was speaking to the guy from work. It turns out that his wife's cousin is the CEO of PIAA!! So if anyone can find them, she can Cheers, J
  14. I'm after what is turning out to be a very hard part to source! It's a PIAA PH44 adaptor - I've heard reports that PIAA Japan no longer make these . Does anyone have any contacts at PIAA, or know of any other source that I can get these from ..... Desperate :search: Cheers, J
  15. Agree with Disturbed. Also try, Lacuna Coil - Unleashed Memories Within Temptation - The Silent Force
  16. I got stopped the other day too for having a smaller front numberplate. The irony being that I had just changed it to a new, personalised plate, the day before. The one I had on there before was actually smaller, and I didn't get stopped in 2 years! It's totally clear, and I can't see how it can be hard to read. I've seen MUCH worse. Attached is a pic (with my ugly mug in it) to give you an idea. Yes, I know the spacing is a tad on the illegal side, but the policeman actually said that he stopped me because of the size, and the spacing was an added bonus, although he probably wouldn't have stopped me for that alone. My problem is that a full size numberplate will block most of the airflow to the FMIC, and will look ridiculous!
  17. Highly unlikely to be anything to do with your copy of XP IMO. First thing I would try would be to go into you BIOS when the PC boots (usually by pressing ESC or F2 as the PC is booting. You should see a message saying "Press [KEY] to enter Setup" -Basically, press that). You will see a blue screen with various options. On the right-hand side (probably) there will be an option to 'Load Fail-Safe Defaults'. Do that, save when it prompts and restart. See if that does anything. I'm just wondering if there is a temp sensor or something like that which has caused the PC to shut off. Failing that, just boot up with the Windows CD in the drive and re-install. Windows re-installs and keeps all of your files and data intact. It may be a corrupted Windows boot-file that is halting Windows when it's trying to initiate. A re-install will replace that file (if that's the prob) and should let you back in. If it asks you to format .... DON'T!

    Gaming rig

That's a BIG question, and one that's not very easy to answer. Your best bet would be to go to some overclocking/PC forums (I use Futuremark amongst others). Usually those places have some good beginners guides. The monitor is great Alex ... makes everything just seem so much bigger and better. Makes me laugh each time I have to turn my head to look from one side of the screen to the other. The other option is to get a decent LCD TV with DVI inputs. Then you've got a kick-ass TV and monitor all in one Cheers, J

    Gaming rig

Something I understand at last! I just built a new rig too: - Asus P5W DH Deluxe Wi-Fi (overclockers dream) Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 2GB OCZ 800mhz DDR2 Soundblaster X-Fi Fatality + Creative Gigaworks 7.1 system ATI Radeon X1900XTX 750w Thermaltake PSU 24" Dell Widescreen Monitor Razer laser mouse Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard Warcraft owns now . Do I win the geek shootout? Haven't started overclocking yet (need to sort out cooling), but it flies as it is Ta, J
  20. Heh heh! Cheers all Work Xmas party tonight too .... so I get a free party! Cheers, J
  21. Similar thing happened to a neighbour of ours. She looked out of her window one day to see some thieving chav (Kappa shell suit, cap, the works) wandering about in her garden, trying to get into her shed She called the police, while the guy was still in the garden, and they said they couldn't send anyone now as no one was available. They said they could be up to 2 hours. She was saying, "But .. he's in my garden, RIGHT NOW. What good will it be in 2 hours". But the Police maintained that they couldn't send anyone. She stayed inside, obviously frightened, and phoned the Police again 10 mins later after the guy threw a brick through the shed window. Again, the same reply. "Sorry, there are not enough officers at the moment, you will have to wait". Another 10 mins pass, and she phones the Police again. But this time, she said. "Hello, I've phoned you twice now to say that there was somoene on my propery, breaking into my shed. I'm just phoning to tell you not to worry, I've shot him" . Obviously she hadn't, but she figured it was her only chance to get someone off their arse and over there. Within 5 minutes, there were 3 squad cars, 6 policemen and dogs outside her house. She just walked upto one of the Policemen and said, "I thought you didn't have anyone available for 2 hours?" Class!
  22. Cool ... I see quite a few around Woking. Usually a Silver one in the multi-storey whenever I nip over there at lunch! Couple of Skylines' around there too. I feel a lunchtime mini-meet coming on
  23. Heh heh ... Cool I never see any other Supra's around really, so it was a nice suprise seeing 2 in one day! I am local, yes. I live in Windlesham, about 10 mins away from Hillswood Business Park. But I obviously work at EA, so I am there from 9-6 every day and have been for the past 6 years (2 with the Supra ) Whereabouts are you based then? Cheers, J
  24. Heh heh! Hey dude, yeah that was me . I work over at at EA in the office on the other side of the roundabout. I was just popping over to the main building for a meeting . Do you work up there at Regis or something, or were you just visiting? Your Supe looks evil with that big wing on the back (Veilside?). Nice looking car though . I think your colleagues are just jealous I also saw a de-spoilered Supra in Chertsey later on. Gave each other a wave. It looked to be a really dark metallic brown/black colour I think? Anyone on here? Cheers, J
  25. My Brother has one of these that I also drive a lot. Great car, I love it. Just as much fun as the Supra Good luck with the sale, it will put a BIG smile on someone's face
