Just a small hint for those who take the painting seriously and like to mix to get the perfect colour, these have been invaluable to me! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/40-New-3ml-Pipettes-Droppers-Graduated-0-5ml-UK-/230798136374?pt=UK_BOI_Medical_Lab_Equipment_Lab_Supplies_ET&hash=item35bca41436

Fairly similar to mine.

Ha ha, I kept it vague as I wanted to be the first to post and get it right, but no one else is really online anyway, ha ha. But yeah, it's the AP30's, used to be fairly popular on heavily modified Max Power kinda cars due to mainly coming in a chrome effect, but they can actually look really nice and presentable though, as shown on yours!

Ap30's

I also have one sitting next to me, been busy collecting paints and other equipment before I start building it though, I will definitely be posting pictures though!

When people run out of stock they bump the price right up to stop people buying, rather than removing the ad.

I got an N/A Manual for £975. Perfect working order, 53,000 miles, and only needs a few things doing to it because it's veilside kitted.

The way you have phrased that makes out like you think it comes with the gauges? Which it does not. Of cause I could be mistaken, and you already know this, and now I look like a pleb... Ha ha Either way, it does not come with gauges, and when you have the gauges, I can't see it being to complicated to wire them up and fit them!

Thanks for that guys, really tempted to buy it, just don't have the funds yet. And the the blue 'Supe, I can't stand any of it, I really don't know why someone would do that... Baffles me. But suppose everyone has different tastes 'n all.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/STUNNING-WIDEBODY-SUPRA-TWIN-TURBO-PRICE-DROP-/321032054432?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4abf0066a0 Doing my usual browse of eBay to see what's out there, and came across this... First time ever seeing this kit, and it made me wonder... "Who on earth sits there, and designs something like this and thinks; yeah, that looks good... " Seriously, it's so... Ugly! *unique* ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Separate post/questions, rather than making a new thread: Anyway, while I am here, I have a question, a very hard to answer question, but a question non-the less. A clean, 95 NA - TT supra, still on the W58 gearbox, low(ish) miles, well looked after and well/recently serviced, how much would you expect to pay? *Car in question -

Definitely not that, I removed the spoiler (Failside) last month, after it was removed the holes were silicone'd up then duct tape over the top just to make sure (Car isn't being driven at the moment) I am off work Sun/Mon, so if it's not raining the car will be getting stripped out to find this damn culprit. The thing that still get's me, I know there must be a major leak, or some stagnant water somewhere, but the car doesn't smell at all. There is no fresheners masking anything, so I would have though this amount of mould would cause a bad smell, apparently not. Anyway, I checked most the suggestions here, but I will be checking them again thoroughly when I get the chance too, hopefully over the next few days, so thanks for all the suggestions.

Just my opinion, but I don't think people realise the actual difference between a lot of expensive items, and the cheaper knock-off versions of them. Of cause this isn't just about Turbo's, but they are of cause included. I think people don't realise how cheap the likes of Turbo's actually are to manufacture, they aren't expensive, and they are fairly simple in the grand scheme of things. The price of the well branded turbos mostly comes from, well, the brand. That and the fact that said brand has put a lot of money into developing and testing their turbos, increasing the price by quite a lot. So when a cheaper company comes along and copies the branded turbos, they are essentially the same, just without the price of branding, development, ect ect. I think the problem with some (probably a lot) of the cheaper turbos is that the quality isn't as good, but this is now going back to how simple it is to make them. So it wouldn't be hard to just take someone elses design, and still build it to a good standard. This is most likely what a lot of companies, like XSPower do. Making their turbos very cheap due to not having to design them, but not necessarily making them crap.

We had REALLY bad flooding here yesterday, thankfully I was home all day and didn't have to go out in it, already know a few who possibly hydrolocked their cars, but didn't have tools with them to remove sparkplugs. Also my mate has a video of him in a wet suit down on the road he lives, it was past his knees! So sod driving through that!

No food in that car that I know of apart from sweets, lol. But it is now all clean looking but just doesn't feel nice to sit in due to knowing how bad it was. Haven't been able to find any damp patches or water, and the heater matrix is fine. The car will now be getting stripped out, I was wanting to dye the carpets anyway so I now have an excuse to take them out. Hopefully when everything is removed I will be able to find the culprit. Until I get the time to remove everything, I have bought the moisture boxes linked above, and will be keeping them in the car, and I will probably disconnect the battery and leave the windows slightly open (Car automatically locks and shuts windows) as it is indeed safe to do so. Thanks for all the responses guys, hopefully I will have it properly sorted soon!
-
Yeah carpets are bone dry. Once I had finished cleaning I went searching for damp spots/water, couldn't find any in the car. I will be doing a more thorough search in about an hour or so though, need one hell of a shower first! And like you said, that is a serious amount of mould, so there is probably something already in the car causing it.
-
Haven't checked heater matrix, literally hadn't even thought about it. Door barriers are sorted, seals look fine, the car has been completely cleaned, 3 times. I was on a mission to block any where moisture can get in, without even realising like you said, that the car would need ventilation as well. Seriously, I should not be allowed near things. At least the mould/mildew doesn't smell! That's a bonus I guess. I'l check the heater matrix, then I guess it's a waiting game to see if/when it comes back

Nope. Centre console, seats, seat belts, rear seats are completely covered. Pretty much the whole car except the boot which seems spotless for some reason. Just took passenger side doorcard off, and the moisture barrier (Which I assume is the plastic sheeting) Is indeed there, does have holes in it though? And it's clean/dry under the boot carpet. *Just took both doorcards off completely, drivers side barrier is just a complete mess, it's torn to shreds and might as well not be there. So currently duct taping that up the best I can until I can get some decent material. Passenger side turns out to have more than just "some holes" so is also getting the duct tape treatment!
-
I'm going to assume you mean a barrier actually behind the doorcard? Sorry I completely missed that, I will go and check now.
-
The car is kept in a car pool kinda thing, basically a garage without a door. I was gobsmacked when I went to get it out to give it a clean and a run, I can't believe how bad it got in so little time, which is baffling me as to what could cause it to be so bad. I checked the seals before, from what I can tell they look absolutely fine and have good contact when the doors are closed. Other than that I'm pretty oblivious as to where I could look. Does anyone have a run down of most, or all the seals that I would need to check? I have looked at all the obvious ones and nothing seems amiss, I will probably replace them anyway just incase.

Pictures really don't show how bad it is, but the best I could get:

Anyone here had any problems with mildew/mould in there car when it has been left sitting? The 'supe has been sitting for around 16 days now, which as far as 'sitting' goes isn't a long time at all, but there is a serious amount of mildew/mould all over, well, everything. I was genuinely shocked when I went out to clean it, it's absolutely covered, the steering wheel you can't even tell is supposed to be black it's so bad. You would think it's been sitting damp for years looking at it! I'll see about uploading some pictures. This is also why i'm saying mildew/mould, as I don't really know which it is. So anyone else here have issues as bad as this in such a short period? If so are there any common places on the Supra that can let moisture in? Cheers for any help. Lee

So i'm an official paid up member now, even though I don't post a lot I find the information on here invaluable, so thought it was about time and joined properly. Haven't managed anything really with the car due to saving for a holiday, and that is literally taking all the funds. Car is currently off the road due to not being able to afford to tax it right now (£304 over here), so all I have managed to do is remove the HIDEOUS park bench from the rear, repair the bumper (Which is getting replaced anyway, just wanted it looking a bit more presentable), and sort the interior out as it was badly covered in CF wrap, and other assortments. Money will finally be getting put into the car around March time next year (When I get back from Japan) So I will probably make a progress thread to keep myself up to date, and spoil you all with pictures! Anyway, one question to ask really, what are these cars like for sitting. Obviously the car can't currently be on the road, so wondering what the best approach is to keep it in good nick, and make sure it will still run a few months down the line. Cheers guys., Lee

There is only two Supra's over here that I know of and have seen, and one is mine, and the other is a work colleague, mine is off the road, but I still say hello and wave in work, so does that count? Can't tell if I like the fact there is next to no Supe's over here, because it makes ours stand out more, if if I dislike it because I like them so much. Anyway, going completely off topic here, ha ha.

I was thinking of this exact same thing last week when I was cleaning up the boot carpet! So I am also wanting to know what other people have done!
