  1. Cheers man. Update: It's still just the same and not getting any worse so I'm almost certain that it's normal. So my advice to anyone else worrying about this is - don't.
  2. No probs Geeza, I'll defo be there next time. Gilham007, I don't believe it!!! That harvester must've been the ONLY place we didn't look!! I was indeed driving the silver sup going the other way!! Lol. Bit of a nightmare really, next time eh?
  3. Cheers Midlife, I was beginning to think that my posts were invisible! I'm just interested to know where everyone went after you all past me on the A20 going the other way! Can anyone enlighten me?
  4. So what happened????? Why was no-one near the paddock when I arrived at about 20:30????
  5. Okay, that was strange! Drove about an hour to Brands Hatch. Arrive at about 20:30 or something. As we're crusing up the road toward the Paddock turn off, about 4 sups, 1 R34 and I think it was a starlet turbo go past us heading in the wrong direction We're like, "that's so not a coincidence!!" and "Why are they going that way?" Anyway, we turn off at the road that supposedly leads to the paddock and spend the next 30 mins going up and down it trying to find the place!!! In the end we decide that a pair of loney locked gates was probably it as it had a Brands Hatch notice on it albeit very understated. So did you all bugger off because the place was locked? To some other place that I arrived to late to hear about? If so, arse!!!!!
  6. I'll most probs be there with a matey. Nice one Geeza
  7. >> Aircon light reactive sensor.... That's all very well. But what is the result of the A/C reacting with the light?
  8. Yeah, wicked stuff. Turned up at just after 11:30 and got a shite parking spot! Then worked out that there was no way that we were going to queue for food @ the pub so we drove back to Horsham and got a huuuuge MaccieD's and then came back. At that point we got an excellent parking spot right on the lawn infront of the pub and saw a load of really nice soops and GTR's. Way too many Civics tho!! I really wanted to meet some of you guys from the board but because I'm a relative newbie I didn't know who was who. I think we should wear name tags next time lads!!! I did however hang around the "clear rear clusters soop" for a time looking well interested, but noone emerged that appeared to own it! Oh well! Totally agree on the name and shame thing, 'kin dickheads. I really wish they knew exactly what everyone *really* thought of them. I've got a load of pics that I will post up when I've removed all the no. plates!
  9. That sounds about right Paul. Let me know if it's gone now that you've replaced your sparkies, just on the extreme off chance that they're related!
  10. Paul, looks like I could really do with some of these. Where did you get them from mate, and what type are they? Cheers man.
  11. Thanks so much for your help. Does indeed sound like the sparkies. I'll have them checked asap. I'm just wondering, along with Mark, that if I fix the plugs whether the noise will stop too? We'll have to see. Cheers chaps.
  12. It's defo not the "death wine" as it does it off boost mostly. I recently had it checked out by Japvillage.com and they said it was mechanically sound. The guy really knew his stuff, the trouble was it behaved itself when he took it out!
  13. Completely standard. Exhaust with both cats. The only mods on the entire car are the coilovers.
  14. Seems to only happen every so often and mainly in 6th only. When I put my foot down in a high gear and the car comes on boost, it really feels like it's holding back. You do accelerate but it seems slower that it usually does. It did it in 2nd aswell, the other day, and it was much more apparent. The power seemed to be sporadic and come and then go and then come back. Randomly pulsed, kinda... Hard to explain but I hope you get the idea. There is also this noise which has appeared at about the same time as this problem. Again, only happens in high gears when going relatively fast. Sounds like someone running their finger round the edge of a wine glass and seems to be coming from just behind the firewall in the engine bay. The pitch never changes with speed, revs or gears and seems to happen more when I let off. Don't know if the two things are related. My initial thoughts on the first problem are incorrect sparkies. The car got serviced just before I took delivery of it and it has a halfords oil filter fitted. I'm just wondering if the same mechanic has decided that halfords plugs are worthy enough too!!!! Would this cause the first problem? Really appreciate your help on this one as the car has barely been run in (15k miles) and I wasn't expecting anything like this to happen... Spec's are in me sig. Cheers.

  16. Wicked Glad to see that we are indeed not alone. In fact, I think it sounds rather sweet actually.
  17. Yeah, last car a Fiesta RS Turbo and the one before that, a XRpoo. I guess I should start applying different standards now eh? Yeah nathan, not sure either. I guess we'll find out sooner or later tho.
  18. Just for piece of mind really. I don't really think for one second that they will find anything, but I've had such bad luck with cars in my past that I need to be doublely sure with this one.
  19. * breathes a huge sigh of relief!! * I've got the car booked in at JapVillage.com, Horsham on Tuesday for a full inspection - just to be sure. Thank you so much.
  20. The car says it's done 13,400 miles and I have absolutely no reason to doubt it. The interiors mint, the seats haven't been sat on, at all really (!), and there is not a blemish anywhere on the exterior. Add to that an extremely clean engine bay and a jap service history with two entries + independent verification of milage by BIMTA (British Independent Motor Trade Assoc) then you'd be pretty confident that the numbers staring back at you from the dash are telling the truth. So I have to ask, does the standard 6 Speed box tend to wine? You can hardly hear it most of the time, but give it some power in 2nd and it does get quite audiable! It kinda sounds like a straight cut box really (which I know it isn't). Any ideas? * worryingly awaits a reply *
  21. When I finally get me Supe in April, I'll need to insure it! So bring it on - defo interested.
  22. Will do next time. Sorry 'bout that!
  23. Just wandering if any Supras ever came with High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps? In case you're wandering, these are the lamps that look brilliant while when viewed from straight on and turn to blue and purple as the viewing angle increases. They cost about £500 per pair as an aftermarket add on. Any ideas?
  24. I'm in a similar situation to you and have just placed a deposit on a TT IMPORT Supra. Insurance was proving to be a problem until I tried Tesco (on-line quotation). Car: Toyota Supra RZ-S, 1996 6-Speed Age: 23 NCB: 5 years No accidents claims or convictions. Cover: Fully Comp Car value: £18,000 Premium: £1180.00 Which I though was good going really considering the next best quote I got was over £1500.
