  1. Sound advice but check the differences between a jap and U.K. box. Ratios. Oil delivery. Cooling pipe fittings. Clutch. Tongue converter. Etc etc. Before you buy. Repair or change will depend on what the failure is.
  2. Bugger. That’s bad. I’ve never known anyone personally that’s had a supra auto box fail. I know you can drive them like a Manuel by holding them in each gear for longer than normal but it’s something that I have never done. What is it that had failed biff. How often did you check the oil level. I checked both dip sticks each time I used it but you used it everyday. Who going to repair it. You really need a specialist that know the in and outs of a supra gearbox. Once you know what’s failed talk to someone like Paul Whiffin. A conversation with him would be a good start.
  3. All ok for me. Sorry I missed the last meeting. Been working from dawn to dusk. Tractor used 3 tanks of fuel in a week. Bloody good job it has A/C. Need another holiday now. Back to turkey in September and France in October. Just chill out.
  4. Not going to make it. Still making hay. Thought I’d would have been sorted. Sorry everyone
  5. In turkey at the mo. Put me down for it.
  6. So very sorry to hear the sad news jak. Our thoughts are with you. X
  7. Great meeting last night. An excellent venue. Food and company was great. Nice to meet new members. As I always say shame more people from around our area don’t bring their supra to a meeting of petrol heads. Hope everything was ok with jak at home.
  8. Funny that mate. Scouting not needed though as we were there last year. Hope you got a deal on that car especially after going to Cornwall for it. Has it been out of the garage yet. You should have brought it to a meeting. Rob walker could have fixed it in the car park. Always carries a full tool kit in his coat. Lol. Cu next week unless you forget!!
  9. Sounds good to me. Was this the place near Christians. Cocktails on his lawn first ?
  10. Don’t mind. Any that’s served good food is fine with me. Cheshire coke is expensive as well Christian but lasts longer if you take through a straw up your conk. (Did I really have a lot of ribs)
  11. Come on biff. Get the night off and bring Cameron with you.
  12. No prob from me. We can always torch his new car if it crap. James if you pick a bad one it goes down in history. Ask spunky. Lol. quote. “I know a great place near Manchester airport”.......
  13. Sorry for slow response Paul. Was getting some much needed sun in Spain. Back to my wellies now and rain. Anyway I’m up for that date and are happy to go anywhere. The food was so good last time that we need to pick places that also good. The bears paw was good and nearer to our Cheshire members so I will suggest there.
  14. Agreed Paul. Nice evening. Food was really good. Probably the biggest burger I’ve ever had. But unlike many’s times it was filled with everything of quality. Juicy burger. Rare steak. Brisket and other stuff. Only thing is they are bloody hard to eat. But bloody good. The steaks that many picked were cooked perfectly but the chateaubriand that the rich Cheshire guys and gals had (more cars than a dealership) was spot on. Came on a chopping board complete with daggers as usual. What a feast. The new Miller is a quality setting with quality food and nice staff.....apart from our host sat opposite who since having bought my ttuk has chopped the Ariel off it. Scuffed the wheels and burnt the discs out. He’s done more miles in it in 6 months than I did in 6 years. Suppose that it was it was really for. Nice to see it on a regular basis and pleased to have been able to sell it to a local club member. How many other car makes would you feel happy to sell a mate. Thanks for the evening Lewis. (Biff) see everyone next month.
  15. Come on you lot. Get your name down or say you can’t make it. Biff needs to know the numbers and get the table reserved.
  16. Well you the got me there Christian. You been having a working lunch again. Lol
  17. Wow. No posts. that says it all mate. One of the best machines ever built but getting harder to buy. And soon to become impossible to own. It may not be long before you have to pay the price that it was when new or more. A perfect tt6 is hard to come by and if if if you hit a gearbox problem very hard to sort. There are some crackers in the northwest but you have to be lucky to get one. These are pristine machines and just money may not be enough. TRY in your advert Price no problem. Pay your mortgage off. No problem. Sleep with my wife. No problem. And then still some of these guys will not sell. This is hard core. SUPRA. If I was not getting to old to have one. (Had 2 TT’s) I would start to buy them all. Better than an ISA. Keep looking mate. I know a cracking auto and would act as your agent. For a price. Lol. Good luck n
  18. Great venue chosen by Paul last night. Everyone at the bears paw was was friendly and really on the ball. For me personally it was the best food I’d had in all the venues visited. Good atmosphere around the table with plenty of news from over winter. Sorry to hear that robs car is no more but good news for Christian as he spent a few quid last night buying parts. Hope we go again there again.
  19. Lol. Don’t know about a quorum of 8 Paul. How about the fantastic 5. Put me on the list.
  20. Yeah that sounds simple. I’m up for anywhere that’s got no mud or snow. Turkey????
  21. Bugger I cancelled a farmers Christmas meeting as the food there is usually poor. Better cancel it biff. So you have time to re book with other customers. Sorry mate. Would have loved to come. I’ll see if I can get my farmers place back. It’s already paid for. Have a great Christmas everyone. Stay safe.
  22. Biff will need to firm up this booking. Can anyone else confirm there coming. Come on you lot it’s christmas and the food will be good.
  23. Rick can’t make this meeting.
  24. It was up above paul. Add Rick
