  1. I know that UKs have cheaper quotes, was just seeing what other people thought about why there was such a big difference a jspec auto to jspec 6 speed, which shouldnt be much Graham Sykes insurance asked for some pictures so sent 2 that is on the For sale thread Gunna try Sky since being the club insurer , wee bit late to phone up Ollie at sky I reckon just came off back shift at 10. So been at work all afternoon il try arrange a time I/they can phone If I don't find a price that would is gunna tempt me to sell my Tiptronic then il keep it no biggy But does selling my car at 23K+ miles (26,500KM on import with 1 owner,33k+ now on the clock) worth it for a 60K on the clock TT6 ?? Hmmmm....
  2. That's actually not that bad I was think £1K+ yeah being just over the border I'd have much higher miles than say people down near London so having £1k for it and I'd be safe then

    Greetings All

Welcome to the club! Good to see youv got plans for it already and yeah along with abtin you are better without an induction kit as you get heat soak from the engine bay and that can decrease your power, unless you have a good quality air box or you have a big single turbo which in that case it needs it Be better with a K&N panel filter but if you want the kit then it's fine mate, I even bought a Apexi power kit but sold it after finding out about it
  5. After watching the pictures and videos I really want to go to this!! Can anyone tell me roughly how much the trip was so I know what I need to save up
  6. Glencoes brilliant! Lovely scenery and isn't where they filmed Skyfall somewhere around there?? Get some snaps of where Bond and M stood
  7. Well that's really nice and I'm sure he would be so thrilled As westy says Glasgow start is great, the junction for the Glasgow Fort shopping centre at Easterhouse is the first junction as you enter the city for those people joining on the convoy coming from Edinburgh and Scottish Borders way
  8. Ahhh thought it could of been someone from here, wasnt too sure Aww that's such a shame! That's so selfless and so kind that can organise something like this in memory of him and do it for charity too! Deffo try come to this providing none of my RAF recruitment clashes with it
  9. Colin meaning in memory of Colin McRae ? Deffo up for this! a massive trek round bonnie Scotland? The air will be good for you southerners Will check the dates
  10. Hopefully we are still alright to get in.. Where about in the car park do we meet about ? Guess the drives after the film ? so we can ramp over some jumps and hi jack military vehicles....in our minds
  11. My cars beside Lui's so I'm happy But compared to all the other pictures it's quite poor that theirs on only 2 pictures of the stand considering all the great cars that were there
  12. Sounds like a plan! Better start saving now muahaha and hopefully don't get as bad as luck as you and Alex have with the tire blow out
  13. Would love to do this one time! Looks amazing!
  14. Nice! Just filled out a online form so will see
  15. Dam that's crazy! Aint you lucky haha But I'm in a nice local rural area in Scotland got nothing on the city's haha See when putting in the details it can never find the Reg plate so you type in description and it has on the list: RZ Twin Turbo (Imp) SZ Non Turbo (Imp) Twin Tur Aut (Imp) Twin Turbo (Imp) Now iv got my auto as Twin Tur Aut and it's really cheap When been looking up for a manual iv changed from the bottom one to the RZ so decided to try the Twin Tur Aut and it's came out cheaper than my Auto!?! But would I get away with something like that I don't know
  16. Just gunna forget about getting a manual for now it's stupid how much difference there wanting iv tried everything and just tried a Multicar from Admiral they were wanting £1600+ yet dads Fusion was only £140 -.- if only I had his years NCB!! soon as I put in my Auto supe it was down to £960! Scandalous...perfect example of insurance scam
  17. Awww well good luck with the swap over!
  18. That's unreal and unlucky, gotta just go with the flow eh Are you buying are you ?
  19. Well I'm lucky in that sense, is it highly modded tho or do you live in a bad postcode ?
  20. Woww I knew there was a difference for UKs being cheaper but not by that much! Yeah that's what I thought quite weird if you ask me, yeah il try everything out gunna try Multi car policies too Awww are they!? I thought they might of been 21 over...dam! Seriously?! That is crazy how can they get away with that, it takes the biscuit with some people.
  21. Yeah that's what I thought, thought it wouldn't be a huge difference. il try some companies again and see what they say
  22. Aww great well I'd more than likely go for a Depo one if I was to get a gauge..unless a good Defi crops up here
  23. They look good them, good price but is that not a bad thing all the gauges iv saw are like £150+ new or are they just rip offs ?
  24. Hi guys Had my Jspec Tiptronic TT nearly a year now just had my renewal from Admiral for £970 for the year That's 3 years driving, 3 years NCB so I think that's alright Found a 6speed that looks great, missing the manual and being more involved with the drive Looking up insurance and comparison sites are stupid money (£3500+) Awaiting an email from Admiral how much it would be to swap over insurance And have sent a pm to Sky on here Some companies aren't giving me a quote even if I put my birthday a month early so makes me 21? Birthdays on 10th June so it's getting close But why is it so dear or even not getting a quote!? Iv got no points and no claims I look around and see some people getting good prices So why can I insure a TT auto and not a TT6
