  1. I don't recognize the plate, are you in Misawa or Kadena? I wouldn't buy that off another service member for 9K. I'm positive you can find a good clean example on the economy. I don't know why people on base jack the prices up so high. If the seller is military he is probably selling because of a pcs to some place he can't take it which means he has to sell. I'd get him to come down on the price as I'm sure he beat the hell out of it in his short time there. Valve stem seal job is going to cost some coin and that alone should bring down the price. I'm CE too btw, welcome to the forum!
  2. As said, check fluid level. Check the feed and return hoses on the reservoir for dry rotting and cracks as that is common with the heat. Lastly, you can pull out the reservoir and clean out the filter screen inside with a bit of brake cleaner.
  3. This car looks rubbish!!! There are no paint chips and he has actually mounted that front license plate!!!
  4. Mine does too, and I already installed a new factory flywheel which did not solve the noise you describe.
  5. That page is from may of 2011, and it says its been painted within 32k miles.
  6. Welcome to the forum! Interesting little problem you have there, hope you are able to get it solved.
  7. Simple matter of supply and demand. The US supra market is not flooded with import options like you have over here. It is illegal to import one without having the proper conversions done to make it road legal. There are companies that can do this for you but it costs a pretty penny. Those that own a supra in the US tend to hang onto them which keeps the supply low and the demand high. At 25 years of age, a car is classified a classic and can then be imported without all the red tape. Once this happens, the prices wil plummet as the market will become saturated.
  8. Thanks all for being on time. Was great to catch up with those of you I know and also was a pleasure to meet those I didn't know.
  9. Anyone got a seat for Jason... If he is interested that is!
  10. Lakenheath, I'd be down for some karting
  11. It's Canadian Whiskey and I'll have a bottle for ya on Monday!
  12. Plans are to hit every Dragonball possible while I'm in Europe. Although I can't ask for special treatment as I'm an outsider, I do hope there will always be a ticket available for me
  13. Think this convo was settled as the stone actially exists in a museum
  14. And the camraderie continues! Love this community!
  15. 0600 meet in Cambridge, PM me your number and Post Code if you wish to meet us along the way (I.e. j-Meiser). Intent is to get there for breakfast for those that want it. Lakenheath folk meet at Mildenhall gas station at 0530 fueled and ready to roll. Let me know if there are any alibi's or questions!
  16. Heading to 20th anniversary if u wish to chat
  17. Apologies up front for the sappy thread! But if you read my thread: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?270045-My-evolution-of-Toyota-vehicles-leading-to-my-Supra-(no-need-for-snide-comments-plz) you might appreciate this more. I've been stationed in England as a US Air Force member since July of 2009. I did not mesh much with your country much as the weather really brought me drown and the Brits that I met around the base were really mean/rude. Coming out of Afganistan at the end of 2011, I finally bought the car of my dreams and immediately jumped into the Supra scene. I was extremely disappointed in the comraderie of the US forums despite the abundace of technical knowledge. I joined this forum and was instantly greeted with the camraderie that should be expected in these types of communities. I believe the friends and contacts I have made here have genuinely changed my opinion of this country and I thank each and every one of you. Thank you for being there for me when I mentally needed you most and I will continue to be there for you all spiritually, mentally, and physically whenever possible!
  18. Philly doesn't know the meaning of slow or fuel conservation. With that said, being the thread starter, I don't mind leading the convoy. JB has mentioned he has interest in getting there for breakfast and unless consensus states otherwise, that is the goal.
