    Hi all

Hey Andy, enjoy the car dude! looking forward to seeing some pics when it's ready
  2. Thanks Drew, will be getting the internals checked during the oil change so hopefully that will confirm which oil I should replace it with.
  3. Hi Paul, thanks for the reply. Is that oil suitable for both B-Series(Torsen) and the uprated TRD internal diffs? I guess I would need 2x 1L bottles for the change? How much would it be delivered matey? could you get it to me by Friday?
  4. Hi folks, I have had a search on the forum for suitable diff oil but thought I would ask quickly, if any member can help. I have a B Series Torsen diff fitted to my car and was told when I bought it that it was fitted with TRD internals (plated diff etc). When I bought the car the diff seals were blown and the diff had little fluid left, so I had these replaced ASAP and filled back up with 75-90. The diff does knock when turning slowly on full lock etc which I guess it due to the plates. I read on a thread yesterday that if it is a plated or TRD diff that 75-140 oil should be used. what are the general thoughts on this as I know some of the members here must run these types of diffs? the oil sounds a little too thick....thoughts and comments would be most welcome. Matt
  5. Well the weather was pretty lame last night. I stuck around at the pub until 8:00 in case anyone turned up, but sadly it was just me. Hopefully the July meet will be more like Summer!
  6. Sounds good Paul, shame you can't make it Steve - but I'm sure a holiday is more fun that what the weather is looking like for next week! I've just come back from New York and missed the UK summer that we had! Any more for any more?
  7. Hey Paul, I've copied the info below from the first page. I've not been to one of these meets yet as my sup was off the road last month. Maybe see you there This will be held on the first Tuesday of every month at approx 7pm but may vary slightly depending on the weather Full address: St Leonard's Hotel 185 Ringwood Road St Leonards Ringwood Dorset BH24 2NP
  8. Next meet is Bank Holiday Tuesday, June 5th. Anyone fancy it? weathers nice at the mo too
  9. Hey folks, random question. I'm off to New York this Sunday for one week. I should have most weekday evenings free, and most of the next weekend. So, what MUST i go and see? My very uneducated list so far is Empire state Chrylser building Iron building Brooklyn bridge Hms intrepid Kats diner (from man Vs food) Oh and central park ofcourse Look forward to some suggestions
  10. These guys are based a few villages over from me and have recently done work on my Supra and my misses Evo. Really good work, and very friendly guys too! Currently they have done the steut brace in my engine carbon but i am looking at getting a few more bits done. The evo now has carbon bonnet and spoiler blade, unless being really really close and fussy it looks the real deal!
  11. I could be tempted to come out for a drive matey, let me know what your thinking?
  12. Wow, that second to last photo on the original post is soooo wide!!!! Dayuum!
  13. Hey all, quick update as I haven't seen the car for over a week now I should be getting the car back Tues/Weds as the diff seals have now been replaced, and the service has been done. Just the brake lines and dyno run left to complete. The chap at the garage said the diff oil, auto box fluids, oil & coolant were all hanging! So a job well done I think I have been slowly collecting items this week to keep me busy over the summer. So just a few quick photos of them today. I have - A set of pre-facelift front seats from a very low mile car, in good condition. The drivers seat in mine was knackered, rocked back & forth and the bolsters had seen better days. Hope to get these re-trimmed at some point soon. I picked up a Blitz rad cap from a member on here to accompany my Blitz FMIC My centre dash panel was broken and had been hacked at to fit in a double DIN stereo (I think from Japan). So got a replacement which I am going to fettle with. With the help of another member I am now the proud owner of a set of OEM wind deflectors. My current drivers side one is badly damaged. the final treat was my eBay bargain of the year so far. a set of whifbitz OEM replica side skirts, never fitted for £60
  14. Right-o. Just testing the water to see if anyone fancies this. I have a full carbon TRD rear spoiler, replica most likely. But its too much carbon for me,just the blade and end caps is enough Would anyone be interested in swapping me some non carbon uprights for mine? (plus a few notes my way). They are in awesome condition, im only offering this deal as i plan to spray them body colour, and spraying over real carbon is a bit criminal!! If they are already in gunmetal even better. I am at Japfest if you fancy doing it then? (saves postage etc) Matt
  15. Thanks guys, sounds spot on i'll go check out what Paul has online
  16. Thanks guys, Hodge, are the ones you have fitted the same as you would fit to a regular bonnet or custom? As supraman says they might need to be less powerful. Matt
  17. Hey folks, I have had a search but only found a thread from many moons ago. I have an AbFlug repliaca bonnet on my Sup' which i think is fibreglass (?). The bonnet also has a pair of aerocatches at the front which are using the bonnet stay mounts. So my bonnet stay lives in the boot which is most annoying. So, my question is can you use stock bonnet gas struts? Or will these be too powerful and cause damage to the bonnet? I have found some on ebay for £ or so but reckon they are gassed for stock bonnets. Sorry for the rambling, Matt
  18. Nothing wrong with them Dave (is it?). I must be honest, VS skirts look best on a Supra, as opposed to other cars. But they arent for me
  19. Thanks for the comments quys. I am in total agreement that if I get the new paint on the boot I will definitely remove the rear wiper. But I am slowly starting to agree ripper_fear in that the trial rear without a spoiler just leaves a certain something out. To that avail I have actually been looking at the stock spoiler, combo'd with the roof spoiler could look nice? I think they both have similar curves, as opposed to the TRD. A friend of mine may soon be removing the stock spoiler so I may trial fit it to see how it looks. Again, I agree with the sideskirts, I am not a fan of Failside's. So this weekend I am off to pick up my first ever real eBay bargain!! I bagged myself a pair of Whifbitz Replica OEM skirts, never fitted, still in gel coat, for a rather wonderful.......£62. A quick project update whilst I am here (though some may have already seen my recent threads with questions). The car was dropped off at a local garage yesterday to get the leaky diff seals replaced and have a FULL service. I ordered the seals some time ago from Toyota using my VIN plate details, which listed my car as having an A02A rear diff. The garage phoned and told me the seals were no where close to fitting. after some investigation and help from fellow member David P we worked out that my car has a B series Torsen diff. So back I went to Toyota and I expect delivery of my new seals next week. My front brake hoses were also split and VERY dangerous, so I have ordered a set of stainless braided lines from Paul @ Whifbitz which should arrive tomorrow. Fingers crossed the garage doesn't call with more "good" news. On that note, if anyone is looking for a pair of rear diff seals and deflector/dust seals let me know Matt
  20. I'll take the Blitz rad cap please mate. Drop me a PM with paypal if you'd be so kind
  21. Thanks guys, just a mosey on the shop website and Ellis's garage. Looks good
  22. Hi folks, I was doing my usual of trawling around various threads & Google Images, when I came across this beauty! Does anyone know the make of this spoiler? Or the car even? would love to see more photos! it's gorgeous!
  23. Alex, shame you are selling her on so quick matey! Those pics look familiar This was a cracking car when I owned it, as mentioned above the only thing I would've done had I kept it was fit a stand-alone ECU. But really was a good car. All the best with the sale
  24. Just done some searching and found the part numbers. I then spoke with the garage and he can see that the passenger side driveshaft is shorted that then drivers. So it looks like the diff swap on mine was done correctly Now to wait for the seals to arrive on Tuesday, and get everything back together ready for Japfest.....cutting it fine!!
  25. Cheers for the further info most helpful. I don't suppose anyone knows the measurements for the long and short drivesharft? And where to measure from etc. would like to get this all confirmed before putting it all back togehter, incase i do need a shortd driveshaft!
