  1. Is it true you can only reach around 160mph as the supra diff ratio is too close for this box?
  2. Thanks for the help, I want a transbrake so it looks like i'll go with that. Would Summit be a good place to order the bits from?
  3. Is there a minimum recommended clearance from the rear wheel to the spring and does this gap decrease when suspension compresses? Im just tryng to figure out how much wider I can go with my tires but I dont want them to scrub the spring over bumps etc. Thanks in advance..
  4. I already have an aftermarket ECU for the engine so thats a bonus, I will go with the B&M shifter as I love the instant manual shifting feel. Also is there any main difference in choosing a reverse pattern shifter other then pulling back on the stick to change up?
  5. Thats good. I was thinking of doing this conversion sometime next year but im tryng to make my mind up which box to go for.
  6. Ive probably missed it some where but can the stock ECU be removed completely with this setup?
  7. An old thread I know... But did you manage to pull a 9 with this setup in the end?
  8. I bought some gaskets from ebay for my 3" system and applied a thin smear of gumgum to both sides of the gasket. Gaskets alone will probably do fine but I wanted to make sure
  9. Useless info maybe but I have something bolted to the head that looks like that.
  10. Cheers guys I will have to read up on them more and make my mind up Noooo way! I cant wait to see the strip with the new setup and the built auto What exhaust do you have now mate?
  11. The buttons are the trickiest to do but the quickest It definitely brings the inside up to date though, I had no lights at all before so its MUCH better now
  12. I'm not bothered if it rattles slightly with the amount of other noises going on, does it rev noticeably quicker with the lightened flywheel?

    Trd diff

I heard you had to do figure of eights to break them in, dunno if it's true or not but if there not broken in correctly they can fail apparently. I have an auto UK spec diff so would like to know this also.
  14. I got everything from eBay mate for around £20. Red will look cool
  15. I managed to peel it off when I removed my spats, same stuff. Try and prize a corner off with a flat edge and soft cloth underneith then pull it off with brute force. It might take some paint though.
  16. Strange, it didnt make any difference when I got insured on mine whether it was auto/manual uk/j spec from various companies.
  17. Nice to see everything's come together now, well done mate
  18. Im thinking of using a lightened flywheel as im trying to get as much torque and response from the engine as possible with as small turbo as possible. Anyone use one? Opinions?
  19. It certainly isn't mate, I need to get myself a mask my face was BLACK when I finshed lol. Cheers mate, I hope to get it all finished by next summer. Should look sweeeeeet when done
  20. Cheers mate, yeah pretty much since 8 this morning I filed the casting marks off, sanded all over using 120,400 then 1200. Cleaned the muck off then used a hard cutting mop with a brown compound then a finishing mop with a blue compound. Works a treat Then of course if your a bit gay like me then use a tiny wheel in a dremmel with autosol to finish
