Why are you going with 9:1 compression ratio pistons when your running crazy boost and nitrous on pump fuel? I was always under the impression you need to run 8.5:1 on nitrous engines unless your running strictly E85.

I'm not too sure at the moment mate but it will no doubt be a boostlab version. Just waiting for Paul to get back to me on this.

I bought it from a member so im not sure what to expect but its the PHR Street port and polished head upgraded with supertech valves, etc shimless buckets and 272 cams.

Cheers Luc, im just trying to think of every possibiltiy to reduce lag and meet my goals with as small turbo as possible. Maybe a full 4" exhaust next and an aftermarket intake plenum to get the most from the PHR head ive got.

Looks much better with the mounts flattened and smoothed, nice work! What are you doing about the arch liner screw clips that normally stick through?

Thanks for the reply! I dont mind investing in one im sure it will come in handy, I will keep my eye out for the brands mentioned. I would like to weld mainly aluminium so it will definately have to be a tig. I have another welder for steels but want a decent ali one Cheers for the help!

Hi mate, while on the subject of welders could you forward me a link of a decent tig for small jobs at home? Nothing ££££ but not cheap cack either... I dont really know where to look.

I heard cp pistons have harder rings, no good for everyday use.

I may have a set of pistons and rods for sale soon as ive decided to take my time with the build and go for a stroked motor as I know i'll be kicking myself after if I didnt. The build is starting to get expensive pretty quickly but im in no rush to finish and I know it will be worth it in the end for future upgrades. I should be starting the build in a couple of months depending when the bits arrive

Is the bolt pattern not different on TT pumps?

Incase my new water pump has one, can it just be blocked off as the previous models never had it anyway?
