  1. Very smart! I might have to get one of those
  2. Oops sorry about that, check valve (25748-88400) washer seal (90210-25001)
  3. All I can find is a check valve (25748) and a washer seal (22270D) for the ICV, do they sound like the bits?
  4. I may not be coming now, having the car resprayed again as I have some stone chips and a slight scrape on my bumper today caused it to crack which I'm not too pleased about at the moment.
  5. Some how I knew what you was on about before clicking on the thread. I think I asked the same at some point but as above its a temp sensor for something.
  6. I'm selling some facelift headlights if you haven't already got some.
  7. Stock UK cams on that engine but the new engine has hks 272s. Noz, ive not looked into that setup but if boost comes on the same as a stroked engine it sounds like a nice bit of kit.
  8. The reason I'm building a stroked motor is cause I have an auto and I would like to pull away from the lights quicker. Not going for much more power than I already have but I want the power there throughout the rev range.
  9. Is anyone else from the Kent, Thanet area coming up?
  10. As Dnk asked, does the heater blow out hot?
  11. How long have you had the system drained? Could the stat have had time to dry out and corrode its self shut? If you can get access easy enough to the stat its worth popping it in a sauspan of water and checking it opens at near boiling tempreture. Try what I said in my previous post first though.
  12. When I fitted my new radiator I managed to drain the entire engine of coolant which meant after filling up the rad there was no coolant on the functional side of the thermostat so no matter how hot the engine gets the thermostat will not open. If this has somehow happened to you take the top hose off from the rad inlet end and point it up then poor coolant in from that way slowly and checking the level.
  13. Dude, its just nuts and bolts at the end of the day just find the cause and fix it. Same with anything.
  14. No worries I have the manuals to hand now ill have a look.
  15. Ok I will check again just to make sure then order another one if it seems to spin more than it should. Also the new fan shroud comes with 2 small electric fans but I only have a wire for one fan on my car, can I wire these both to the same wire or a manual switch inside the car?
  16. Well theres no fluid leaking and it's not seized but it spins for a couple of seconds if I spin it by hand so it should be ok. Ive got a shroud on its way to me soon so this should solve everything. Thanks for the help Chris.
  17. Just going through a check on my car with all the cooling components I thought I would ask here about my fan. Should the fan be stiff to spin by hand when the engine is turned off but still hot (90 degrees)? I'm not sure if I'm getting correct lock up when the engine is hot as I can still spin it freely when the engine is pretty hot.
  18. Good progress so far mate, keep the updates coming your getting there!
  19. I think that must definitely be my problem then guys, I will put a wanted thread up and fit one asap. The inlet pipe must be getting alot of heat soak from the radiator because the exit of the intercooler is near cold whilst the temp is reading 70. Thanks for the help ill update after I get this fitted.
  20. I have a front and rear window seal ive been waiting to fit, I think it's a glass out job hence why I haven't changed mine yet.
  21. Thanks for the input guys. Will get one fitted asap and monitor temps through the software and see what it reads.
  22. I think this sensor could well be reading pipe temp, the pipe feels roughly 68 degrees tbh.
