  1. Absolutely love this car, James has done a nice job with the modifications so far I wanna see what it looks like finished. Following this with interest!
  2. Little update, while the car is off the road I thought it would be a good idea to fix the heater matrix leak so out with the dash and heater box and in with the the new matrix. New matrix left (Demisterman)
  3. Ok so Autoglass was suppose to turn up to remove my windows today, I had a phone call this morning to tell me they accidentally booked in a technician than a window installer and that I would now have to wait until Friday to get this done! With no work starting on the car at the paint garage until the glass is removed has delayed the whole thing and taken up time for other jobs which they wernt too happy about. I asked for them to cancel and refund my money which will take 5-10 working days!!! Have been rrecommended another company which are booked to do it tomorrow, as a result its only gunno cost £210 instead. I would have expected more from a big company like Autoglass
  4. Think it has a blue connector.
  5. My first and last post in this thread, I'm feeling lucky
  6. Just get nitrous if you want increased power when you want it
  7. Thanks everyone ive made my mind up on the colour. The car is going to the bodyshop tomorrow which will then be undersealed and painted, everything is removed this time which will allow for a much cleaner job. Ive then got new seals etc for the windows. I'm having trouble finding this paint code but it should be something close to this - http://www.pinterest.com/maserati/granturismo-mc-stradale-on-the-road Think this would look incredible with the smoothed bay and a nice polished engine tucked away Hoping to get the car back January some time as with Christmas holidays etc, I will post pics of progress anyway
  8. Sounds a good idea but it will still need some kind of fuel pump.
  9. You can leave the ports open, but I would remove the pump if your gunno not have aircon. Ashbuster posted the link above for the shorter belt from whifbitz. Pk1865 iirc.
  10. All 30 Cheers mate Edit: 3 not 30 lol bloody predictive text.
  11. Just picked mine up, thanks to all for putting this together they look great
  12. I think it looks much better mate.
  13. Thats it im definitely not keeping the same colour!! Only thing I dont like with black is the trial rear looks wierd if the bottom was also black as it is. I could do the existing black parts satin including the wheels that would look quite good, the only other thing looking at black cars it hides alot of the detail and ive put alot of work into this shell.
  14. Sorry I meant the whole car guys everything matching
  15. Car is going to the spray shop at the end of the week, trying to figure a colour that will really make the new engine stand out. Black? Another darker grey? Or keep the colour I have? So hard to decide, I thought that black is a colour I wouldn't get bored of and looks mean but grey works with the black bits.
  16. They can do it but they won't replace anything either if it breaks which makes me think I might aswel do it. They have more experience than me though and if is alot cheaper then I'll get them to do it.
  17. I might give it a go myself and hope they dont break, then get a specialist to refit with the new seals I have. I'm either going with Grigio Silverstone or black. Trailer, its basically a bare shell Just fancy a change mate, I love the colour too but black will look awesome I wouldn't mind paying if they are liable for breaking anything. Also this includes re fitting at a later date. Will give it a go with the front and rear first then try the quarter glass.
  18. Hi all, As my car is going in for a respray I wanted all the windows removed. I was given a price from Autoglass for £428 inc vat and this includes the removal of the front, rear, and rear quarter glass. Also if anything breaks they are not liable and I would have to pay to replace it. Does this sound about right, should I risk doing it myself and use the money to get new glass if something breaks? What do you guys recommend?
  19. Same mate im planning June/July for mine, will be good to get them both done for summer and get to a Bluewater meet.
  20. Looks lovely mate, when would you say you it will be on the road?
  21. I'd remove them to expose the cage more, unless of course your fug ugly then keep them I'm getting mine done soon...
  22. I was thinking the same, or at least something similar in black. Would look very cool Looks fantastic Mark you must be pretty pleased to see it at this stage now. Well done to Rob too
