As some of you know I have had the car up for sale for a while now. I have 2 viewings next week and waiting to hear back from another guy. So im making this thread now as there are people interested in most parts already and some the same parts! Full breaking list will be available January 22nd - 6pm for those that don't want to miss out! I have a spec list in my garage to give you an idea of parts that will be available. Very strange. Would like to analyse the situation myself. Only thing else I can think of is glue slowly attracting dirt.

Having the teeth too far out wouldn't cause that to the carpet it would just dig into the underlay or floor. Also not having the teeth out far enough will rip the carpet as it has not stuck into the backing giving a weak grip. Which I've seen many of times and looks nothing like that. As mentioned the marks look like a substance in the shape of the stretcher head. Unless the floor underneath is really oily and it's seeping though the holes made by the stretcher

Well I take back my previous statement as that definitely looks like a stretcher. How? I don't know. Maybe he's covered the teeth in wd40 for some reason.

Carpet stretcher wouldn't make marks like that. In fact they shouldn't make any marks not that I've seen within 10 years of fitting. Gotta be the backing or something underneath, can you not get a picture?
