  1. That's the one mate, it's the large frame so the housings are bigger I think.
  2. Thanks Nicholas I've been going through ideas to try and avoid solid mounts but the turbo is so tight it's gunno scratch the strut tower with movement. What I'm going to try first is TRD mounts and also skim the exhaust manifold flange to a slight angle, ie a couple of mm taken from the side closest to the head to give it a slight slope. This should gain 3-4mm between the turbo and strut tower. If that doesn't work then I will try an engine movement damper which bolts from the intake side of the engine to the passenger side strut tower. I'm not too keen on the look of these so if I get fed up with it then I'll resort to solid mounts
  3. That looks much better John, the suede and carbon go well together.
  4. There's not alot you can do on a slippery track but good effort! Sounds awesome
  5. Me too Lets be honest though we don't build these cars for comfort lol. Besides the engine damper makes the bay look too cluttered for my liking.
  6. I would just replace all with arp if your taking the bottom end apart.
  7. It shouldn't be too bad mate I think feeling every mechanical part makes driving it more fun. Maybe not for passengers though
  8. Probably the same one I'll have, I'm not sure exactly the differences between 1.5, 2 way etc but I thought it's a good idea to replace for the increased durability as well as performance. I've heard bad things can happen if I diff fails at speed.
  9. I quite like the idea of it feeling rough I didn't buy it for luxury
  10. Little update, with the power I'm going for Lee has recommended an updated diff so I've got a TRD on order for my large case. Also with the bigger turbo I'm gunno need solid engine mounts or an engine damper brace to stop the turbo hitting the strut tower, I went for the solid engine mounts along with this solid gearbox and diff mounts are needed. Hopefully they don't feel as rough as everyone says
  11. Haha it was kind of last minute planning, if you see the white fiat 500 I was in that lol.
  12. I bought these but sent them straight back, brackets in the wrong place which meant they would need cutting off and moved. The fans themselves are probably good to flow 1400cfm, not enough imo.
  13. Good meet guys, sorry I didn't get a chance to talk to everyone but I'll try make this every month!
  14. That looks like a nice bit of kit I think I'll have the geo checked on mine when it's there. Good to see it's almost done looking forward to the results!
  15. Don't worry about it mate there's always another time I've persuaded the missus to bring me up in the fiat 500 so I should be there in about an hour
  16. Who rattled your cage!! I'll be definitely be there in a few months when the cars done
  17. I'm not gunno be there guys as I was gunno come with The raven. Maybe next month!
  18. I was gunno get a lift off the missus and get there about 9 half past if anyone else was gunno be there.
  19. It should be ok as long as you get the fibreglassing done right, I've put my car through some stress and its held up fine I'll soon see once the new engines done
  20. Thanks John I first riveted the arches on with some PU body sealant on the back, then they were fibreglassed over approx 3" width covering 1.5" of the arch and 1.5" bodywork. Before applying the fibreglass I used a floppy sanding disk on the grinder and took all the gel coat off the arch and all the paint off the bodywork back to bare metal. Just on the areas that were being fibreglassed of course There's a few pictures on page 1 I think that might help
  21. Cheers everyone, I'm really excited to finish it now
