  1. Done deal There is no other person I would trust with my car, he is a legend!
  2. I'm not sure to be honest, before Christmas hopefully
  3. Thanks mate, I'm sure there's alot more to it than pushing a few buttons! Less than 24 hours now before the car goes out of my sight and into the capable hands of SRD Its a shame I don't have the covers yet to bring with me tomorrow but I'll send them in the post more than likely next week then once these go on the rest of the parts can start going on and practically finish off the engine. Such an exciting time for me as I've been dying to see the finished engine with all the parts I've been collecting over the past couple of years. I'll make sure to grab some pictures tomorrow
  4. Haha I can imagine the buzz from that, I bet it was awesome to compare the SRD900 in a real life situation against another performance car. I suppose when you floor it on your own you know it's quick but your not sure how quick! Awesome stuff, I can't wait for this video footage
  5. That's the plan £670 + £170 shipping from America.
  6. I'm genuinely excited for this :d Will be an epic race!
  7. Cheers mate, your right it's not the prettiest finish, I told him I would polish them myself though I think he's making black anodized set next I'll have to get a picture.
  8. They do look nicely made, I will get some pictures of the rear and any other bits when I get them Yeah they are the ocdworks covers, adds 15% torque
  9. A picture of them fitted, these are available in a anodized finish too. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=192112&d=1412321442
  10. Thanks mate I really appreciate the nice feedback It will definitely get driven as its my daily but it will take some getting used to being without a car for over a year now. But I didn't by my gopro for the fun of it Cheers Luc, now the first one is made the rest can be machined within a few hours I would have thought.
  11. With the car going to SRD tomorrow it shouldn't be too long
  12. Cheers bud, it's definitely unique from the standard options of covers out there. I'm running out of ideas now for this build!

    saying hello

Hi and welcome A 2jz is a very reliable engine with alot of potential, for £15k you can get a nice single turbo manual if you look around. No need to have a forged motor as these engine can run 700hp all day long without touching the internals. Some people have even run 1000hp on an un opened block! Good luck with your search whatever you decide on.
  14. I won't be at this one unfortunately, I've got a mega busy day tomorrow getting the car ready to go to SRD on Saturday.
  15. First picture of the finished billet timing belt covers, they should be with me pretty soon then I'll give them a good polish up I don't know about you guys but I think they look pretty cool. They will be making more of these if anyone is interested. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=192098&d=1412284125
  16. Thanks mate, Lee is definitely your man for the job
  17. Thanks Chris, I never quite new if it was normal or not.
  18. Looks like one heck of a job that refurb, I don't think I would want to do it myself after seeing the work involved Lol. Good job though mate well done!
  19. Happy days mate looking forward to the 6th! You'll love the auto with a single, I can't get enough of it
  20. Simular thing I have but as I don't have an engine I can't tell for sure. But with the handbrake on, if I was to example tighten a wheel nut the car would roll forward a fraction of an inch and I can hear a knock on the inside of the rear hub. Hard to explain but almost as if the shoes are locked to the hub but have a bit of play. Know what I mean?
  21. Thanks Mark Its one of those jobs I would not like to do myself, anything electrical scares me just looking at it.
  22. I've got a picture of the upper, the lower is being machined as we speak.
  23. Thanks Luc The credit goes to Lee, he's doing an amazing job!
