  1. Are they good with this kind of thing? I don't mean price wise but a good cover for hugely modified cars?
  2. Thanks Jazz I will, I would like to get quotes from few different insurers to see how they compare.
  3. I didn't think Toyota sold looms anymore. This is a good idea, might have to specify when ordering for UK/J spec and auto/manual though.
  4. Hi all, Something that's been on my mind a while now and I best start shopping around but don't know where to start. As some of you know that I have my Supra under going work and will be finished early next year. I'm not looking for a good deal but something that is guaranteed to cover me if anything shall happen. Preferably an agreed value! I have 3 years no claims and will be 26 when the time comes. As for mods it pretty much ticks every box there is. I've heard competition car insurance to be quite good with modified cars? Thanks in advance
  5. Mine will never be broken, too many hours have gone into building it to just break. It would make me more happy to see someone else drive it than make a few extra £. I can see this turning into a Supra stock vs modified investment thread
  6. You don't need to disclose figures we know you probably spent more than everyone put together with your gold fetish
  7. I hope not, it would be crazy to break a car like that!
  8. Having decided with Lee, while the diffs being changed for a TRD I've decided to have the complete rear subframe dropped and stripped out with new bushings if needed and all the framework and arms powder coated. This is the only part of the car left that's not been touched so with this refurbed the whole car will be rust free which was one of my main goals on the project.
  9. I would be inclined to sell the car and go for a TT auto if power is your thing.
  10. Yeah I've heard good things on both the OS and the TRD but it was down to availability at the time and as Lee has them on order it's easier just to go for one of them. I'm thinking about poly bushing the car also to help with traction I'll have to read up some reviews on them.
  11. Lee has just informed me that he has some TRD diffs on order so I'll be going with this instead of the OS Giken now. After talking with Lee when I dropped the car off as there is still alot of work to do we have planned to have the car all mapped and running early next year. Which is ideal really as I know I'll be urging to drive it which will be a bad idea in some of the colder icy months.
  12. I don't think inferno's has had the most money spent on it but it's definitely one of, if not thee best Supra out there as far as restoration goes.
  13. Or find what pin on the ECU b+ goes to and splice into that.
  14. If the concern is driving through snow and ice and just put a veilside front on and get ploughing
  15. Nice write up! A good idea to start with the perfect base car to keep matching numbers. Sounds like a well planned out project I look forward to your updates. Regarding the diff I am going with the OS Giken on my build, I'm not familiar with the exact differences but OS seems to be getting a better reputation with their diffs lately than TRD.
  16. I can't get a house until my girlfriend finishes university and starts bringing an income in, that way I can have the car I've always wanted then focus on the more important things together when the time comes.
  17. As above, the car was a complete dog when I bought it, I spent a huge sum trying to correct the previous owners mistakes.
  18. Not good news Steve, with winter coming up I would leave it off the road until next year and spend the time and money on the more important things.
  19. I've had my Supra nearly 3 years now, as I started rebuilding it with the end result in mind I gave myself a budget of £25k on top of the £8.5k I payed for the car. But I passed that figure ages ago and the project is still ongoing so yeah, we pay alot for the things we love!
  20. That's typical mate, hopefully they can recover the footage.
  21. With my alarm I had to connect/disconnect the battery with the key switched to "on" otherwise it caused all kinds of problems. That was aftermarket though but worth a try?
  22. Nice, something I need to get round to one day.
  23. Have you got a picture of the pipe you need? Maybe see if you can get a silicone or hard pipe replacement? Maybe cheaper than stock.
