  1. I have the perfect set brand new for sale in one of my threads. 86.5mm 8.5-1. Take a look fella http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?268407-High-performance-Rods-Pistons-Bearing-Studs-NEW-NEW-NEW
  2. Thanks guys thats pretty much want I want to hear... I will do the work myself as I was pretty much brought up in the garage building my own toys. Not to mention when I was 11 I was brought a haynes manual and gasket set for a 1000cc mini and rebuilt the lot myself! lol I know these motors are different but ive got a good amount of commen sense to know how to rebuild it with different parts. Just need to know what parts.. Im quite capable and got the tools just dont have boring and flow machines and all that stuff! I`ll see how it goes if my stuff sells or not.
  3. This has been on here for months and months! If the block took impact I wouldnt reccomend. There a nice cylinder head on ebay tho...
  4. Believe it or not my girlfriend was really excited about me starting the build lol. I think I am going to take the advise of others and buy a nice single conversion one and just give it some fresh paint until I win some major money or work 3 times as fast then I shall think about drag racing it.
  5. Lol haha sounds like the sort of thing that would happen to me
  6. Oh right, yeah well tax is one of them things you kind of forget about and learn to live where monday and tuesday is tax and the rest is yours! lol. Thats basicaly why I want to get a car I want now so I dont struggle in the future when I got a house.
  7. Yeah course I pay tax lol. I work 7 days a week and do alot of private work too.
  8. Self employed carpet and vinyl fitter.
  9. I dont get this forum at all, I suppose id be copying if I told you about my aspergers too? Well im not ok. I watched the film when I was younger, its good, but I definately am not wishing to spend all my hard earned wages just to copy a film. I simply came for advise on parts I need that work in harmony together so im not chucking money away. If you can help me then great but if not, leave it out will ya ive had it my whole life and its getting boring...
  10. Probably. What exactly are you getting at dude?
  11. I am saving the money. I like the way everyones working out my finances for me lol. Trust me I know what im doing I have a good family that will help me out with a place to live at in the future. I live in a big house in kent at the moment thats worth about 140km, not alot cause its on the coastline out the way. The thread wernt about whether I can afford it or not cause I can. I have no plans of moving out for the next 7 years and me and my dad work together and invest money into the current house. I simply wanted to know if anyone on here has built there dream car from a small investment every week over a period of so many years. Cause that was my plan AND the OP. Not to sound like im not listening to your advice because I am, I just dont wish to be told how much the house is im going to be moving into in 3 years when the s**t hits the fan etc etc. STUPID will be spending my entire wage slip on my car every week, not 25%. 30k a year for the next 7 years will be more than enough to get me STARTED. Why shouldnt I save a bit for my own personal leisure. Remembering this is someone that dont go out to socialise or go on nice holidays I just work hard and am keen on what I want out of life. I know lifes hard for some people with bills etc but why do I need to think about that at the moment. While my mates all go out every week and probably spend more then £200 on shopping and stupid stuff and drinking, I would rather save mine for a project car... I hope this thread makes more sense now
  12. Precisely it all depends on your end goals but if you want a rock solid platform for the future then you may as well go for it while the engine is apart. Also NA pistons are different CR for a turbo build.
  13. Exactly what I was going to do lol If thats the case then at some point you will probably be buying these parts at some point! This is a good price if you take all as these parts cost me over £1800. Let me know fella
  14. Not daft at all lol, In a NA the rods are weaker and different compression ratio pistons. Whilst changing these parts you would also need to change the bearings and main studs. It all depends on your goals but I brought these parts to give me a platform to grow in the future. What are your main goals for the end build?
  15. LOL. Im into my 4 wheels im affraid. The only way i`ll ever use 2 is from the tourque lifting the other 2
  16. Oh right, yeah geo`s did sell yesterday cause there was a video of it driving away... Yeah thats where I saw it on pistonheads. I definately wouldnt mind that!
  17. Jesus. Now thats a good thrill to £ ratio! Im going to take everyones advice and save to buy someone elses work already done with maybe a respray in my dream colour for a supra
  18. I agree totally. My goal to owning a supra would be reached by next summer with this engine build going on. If I sell the parts I have and take my savings for the build I can have one by the summer
  19. Im taking all your advice on board people and have just put all my stuff in the for sale section I`ll thank you one day
  20. LOL just goes to show you dont need to do well in english to earn a good wage
