  1. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?67389-Traction-control-delete&highlight=trac+delete Second post down has confused me now mate
  2. So ive just made a shopping list of bits I need for this mod. Just a quick thought, if im removing the air con, abs and trac is it worth me cutting these wires out all together to narrow the amount down that needs to be soldered? EDIT: Also do you use multi strand for the smaller wires or single strand?
  3. Would it handle 700bhp well?
  4. Evening chap! What can the r154 handle?
  5. Can anyone confirm my options for removing all the trac gear on a stock or built auto?
  6. Great that worked 1st time thanks So what program do I use to pull the logs and does the car have to have power to do so as my batteries out :S
  7. Thanks, but thats the link I tried before but I get this - Does anyone know what this means and what I need to do?
  8. Has anyone got a direct link that works to download everything you need on to my pc? The one i tried before will not work for some reason :S
  9. I got told 4-5k. So im staying auto!
  10. So why is it people say that removing the trac is bad for the auto box if the syvecs manages a safe gear change?
  11. So just to confirm removing the trac butterfly, ecu, relays, loom etc will have no effect on the life of the gearbox as the syvecs takes over and still provides a smooth gear change? Sorry if I sound kind of dumb but I just want to know for certain before I start ripping stuff out.
  12. Thanks for that. But does the syvecs retard the ignition for the auto transmission gear change or the TRAC ECU? So in other words if I remove the TRAC and all the components such as ECU, will this give a smooth gear change still as the syvecs controls this or will it be harsh on the box during gear change thus me having to go with a built transmission?
  13. Lol, wellI just wanted a clear engine bay and less weight. Also I dont think i'll ever use the car in bad weather plus people have said it dont make alot of difference unless you cant control your braking
  14. After searching on this particular subject I am not able to find any information on the questions I have. So during the next couple of weeks I plan to remove my ABS and TRAC and all the connected parts ie loom, relays, ecu etc. The questions I have are - 1) With a syvecs fitted will I still have ignition retard during gear change after removing the TRAC ecu, butterfly, loom, pump, everything! And if I do loose it, is this safe for the auto box, even if its a built one? 2) As the TRAC and ABS will be completely removed, can I remove the entire loom and relays for these to reduce clutter, and if it throws up a light can I not just remove the bulb? Any help is much appreciated
  15. Please tell Im doing this in the next couple of weeks and need to know what parts I need and what needs to be blocked off, re routed etc.
  16. Well its out now so thats more clutter gone
  17. The skinny wires on the other end were basically plugged into the afr gauge but the other chunky connector end, nothing. Dont know what that was suppose to plug into...

    Plasti dip

OMG I actually saw this a couple of days ago on youtube it looks the nuts, until someone comes along and peels the rest off lol
  19. So as my AFR gauge wasnt plugged in to anything because of the syvecs, this can just come out right?
  20. Oh ok. Can I remove the loom its not connected to the ecu or anything? Cheers
  21. So this is an aftermarket device for a nokia phone? So this can go yeah
  22. Ok so while stripping down my supra I keep coming accross things that I havent got a clue what they are. I like to know whats what and keep clutter to a minimum. Here is just some of the stuff I have cleared out [sHOCK][/sHOCK] - The pictures below are things I need help from people to identify what it is and whether anyone else has this and if its needed or not ? Part 1 - Located behind dash Part 2 - Also behind dash Part 3 - behind passenger side rear quarter plastics (has some sort of antenna). Part 4 - Hanging loose in engine bay but still connected to part of the dash loom?? If anyone can help I would much appreciate it as I hate clutter and want to get rid of everything thats not needed. Thanks
