I know but I just like to think that I am going In all honesty as soon as the cars done I will be there without a doubt mate.

Get a built auto like me I wouldnt like to think about replacing the clutch every so often with a manual and also how the auto box just keeps pulling its crazy!

Ahh cheers for that. I just thought that if the overall size at the end of the pipework is 76mm where it enters the throttle body then this would be a bottle neck if I had say 100mm pipework all the way. Just edited turbo outlet is 76mm not 70mm. I think 76mm from turbo to manifold will probably be my best bet then what do you reckon? Also wheres the best place to order this pipework or shall I make it up as I go along with say ASH products or such?

Just a quick question as im replacing my intercooler piping as it gets in the way of the new front bumper and it looks a bit old and grotty. So what size should the pipe be for a single turbo running approx 600bhp on stock manifold as I have a mismatch of different size pipes and couplers from the turbo outlet to throttle body. At the moment it goes something like this - Turbo outlet - 76mm Pipe from turbo to intercooler - 70mm Intercooler 70mm both ends. Pipe from intercooler to throttle body - 87mm Throttle body - 76mm So was scratching my head over this and was thinking that the massive 87mm pipe after the intercooler is just increasing the volume the turbo has to fill before entering the engine meaning more lag right? Now im no expert but would I be better off just having 70mm pipework all the way to a 70-76mm reducer coupler to the TB? If im just sounding really stupid can anyone tell me what pipe I would be better off using? Thanks

Is it a UK or J spec car? Because UKs should have a seperate bigger cooler. If youve gone single then having a bigger cooler is a definate must as the radiator cooler just is not good enough. You should not need to go manual as there has been many people running 500bhp+ on the stock autobox me being one of them. Its easy for the rubber oil lines from the box to the cooler to become brittle and crack which im guessing is what happened, as for the oil being brown this is not good either. I would reccomend you do the following - Drain all the fluid Replace the filter in the transmission with a new one Top up with fresh fluid AND GET A COOLER!

Oh s**t yeah lol, quite lucky actually because I was thinking of get that front bumper and origanally was gunno get a TS bonnet but think the UK one suits my build better. I was also tempted to go balloon white until a few weeks ago Get some pics of yours when its done bud! Cheers mate!

Thanks for that mate some usefull info there. Was thinking I might go with the TRD as ive seen one on ebay for quite cheap. It still looks a bit angled but not as much as the one I have now.

I would just get a new one mate or a good second hand one see them all the time in th for sale section. If you know someone that can refurb it cheaper than getting a second hand one then by all means do that.

Yeah An aftermarket. Well that sounds nackered to me mate. I shouldnt think it would cost much to have someone change it probably around £40 something like that..
