  1. Bit harsh... If thats what you have always wanted and you can save your money well then I cant see why not. £700 is £700 at the end of the day and if one week you cant afford petrol then you dont drive, simple. If you really want something that much, you save, then get it! EDIT: Can I just add that I had a simular response when asking if I should buy a supra and in the end I worked hard enough to save for one taking on every private job possible and in the end bought one. Things will go wrong tho even now I have only driven it for a couple of days since owning it and things did go wrong! I have spent more on the car than I payed for it and it still aint on the road. You just have to expect that with cars mate, there not cheap!
  2. Cheers guys! But even if I was to get one of these turbos I would still be looking at using nitrous just as its easy power on top of everything else. I'll definately look into bigger turbo`s etc next year but for now the extra power for £ ratio of using nitrous just seems a worth while upgrade imo.
  3. Yeah thats the plan matey, thanks
  4. Yeah I have a Titan box mate with 3800 high stall TC. At some point next year I want to get a built block also.
  5. Im probably getting the wrong idea but if mine is an EGT sensor then its in the down pipe just after the turbo.
  6. Im running a gt3582r 68mm. Thats an impressive figure for a 62mm I didnt know you can get that kind of power from such a small turbo. Im afraid any upgrades like that is just out my budget untill next year mate so was looking for a quick fix then at least ive always got that power on top of whatever turbo I do upgrade too in the future. Any idea on the max power my turbo can produce?
  7. So recently I have been thinking about the old nitrous system for my car, I would like to be around the 700bhp mark but I dont want to go bigger with my turbo as im not a fan of huge lag. I nice system from a member has just come along that im very tempted to buy but would like some info from people with experience on using nitrous with stock internals. Now I know 700bhp is probably a safe limit on stockies but what else do I need to think about changing? I know I have the fuel system to cope with it also I understand it can be run through the syvecs progressivly but is there anything else im missing? I know im gunno here the usuall, why would you want nos etc. but its just a laugh for now and if its safe then why not, powers power right? Cheers Link for kit - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?277985-Nitrous-Express-NOS-Kit-with-Bottle-and-Billet-mounts
  8. Haha I was quite happy with the outcome of that problem in the end lol.
  9. I know it sounds stupid but I had this when I first got my car, flickers on and off on un even ground and stays on under hard acceleration. In the end it turned out to be my boot not shut properly. Just something worth checking....
  10. That looks awesome mate good job, plus you have given me the idea to mount my toucan display where you have
  11. It doesnt actually seem that bright in person lol must be the camera... Imo an engine bay should be matte black unless its a show car! My idea was to blacken out all the engine acilleries so im left with the beauty of the engine standing out with some polished parts. Im sure it will look awesome when finished mate and if not i'll just change the colour anyway Cheers dude! Yeah I have done all the work myself with just the help of this forum and some kind members so thanks
  12. Ok Dave! I know, I must admit it would look shocking with the stock look but with my body it will definately look menacing imo
  13. Lol I just sprayed them parts for a laugh they will go whatever colour the car is eventually And im hoping to finish in the next few weeks not alot to do now just waiting for parts.
  14. Thanks dan! As I previously mentioned im doing this all from home after work and dont have alot of time. I appreciate everyones feedback though good or bad so thanks....
  15. Cheers mate Imo its never going to be a show car as I just dont have the time or money to put into it like others so theres no point in having an ultra blinged up bay however, I put myself through alot trying to get this car done and just want it back on the road so its just a quick fresh coat to cover the scratched red. I know matte black is not to everyones taste which is why there are hundreds and hundreds of gloss black cars which I see everyday so wanted something different. Even if when the day comes to spray I go with a yellow or pink or blue, whatever colour a choose matte black in the bay will look alot better than the scratched red and will go with anything....
  16. Its an engine bay guys I think the matte will make the engine stand out more when its done and hides the wires a little better. The car is going to be matte black too so gloss would look out of place. Cheers for the input but its just the way I want my car Started after work today, its not to bad just waiting for some more parts to turn up.
  17. Got the engine bay sprayed up last, now the challenge of putting everything back
  18. So not alot then Looks like you got a nice little beast when done tho mate. Have you got the veilside arches too? Imo I wouldnt go for a HKS super dragger as the pipe work isnt stainless and will rot quick in everyday weathering. Have you got any pics so far?
  19. Haha, what exactly you having done? maybe a project thread
  20. Margate mate, not that far. I'll let you know how I get on with it when I got it sorted but im sure someone can give you some usefull information on them meanwhile....
  21. Hi mate, where in kent are you from? I have just got a 3800 stall for my car so I can possibly take you for a spin when its installed?
