  1. OH YEAH! All of a sudden it all seems very clear you mount the headunit first then put the console panel back in rather then sliding it in the front, DUH!
  2. Also that plastic compartment that sits aside the single din dont fit in either, thats too wide for the hole. Can someone please explain whats going on?
  3. Cage with new headunit - Headunit - Too high Headunit - Too wide
  4. The cage fits inthe standard metal cage behind the console but the hole in the console is just too small. Pictures coming...
  5. Well the hole is tiny compared to the size of the headunit and it wont fit unless I cut a good 3mm all round. I guess i'll have to swap it for another one then...
  6. That fits perfect but I cant understand how some peoples fit and other have to trim. I cant be bothered with running around measuring headunits so this one will have to just fit one way or another.
  7. Hence why the single din previously didnt have one... looks a bit ugly tho without one tbh. So my final question is - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?281651-Center-console-buttom-remove
  8. Thats what I thought that the outer lip needs trimming to the size of the inner rectangle for it to fit, but then when I put the headunit surround back on it overlaps the heater control knob surround by a couple of mm. So I need to bring the hole down slightly and remove the 3 buttons underneith as there not in use. Seems so much work just to fit a stereo.
  9. Ive tried a number of headunits now single and double din which are normal sized ones the same accross most popular brands, but the hole in the centre console is just that little bit too small. Any suggestions as im probably the only member without a stereo and cant get my head around why the hole is too small.
  10. Ha! thats awesome, if it worked
  11. Ive got a map saved from earlier in the thread if youve seen it so I just follow the blue line and meet in that car park at 7.30 then?
  12. Hi all, Just bought my self a double din head unit to go in my supra and it dont seem to fit the hole. The hole seems tiny to fit any kind of stereo so I dont know what going on there, but more to the point I need to trim a few mm all round which brings me to my question. The 3 buttons underneith seat, active spoiler and traction, can I just unplug these as there not in use then I can make my hole bigger for the stereo? I dont have stock seats or bumper and the traction is done through the syvecs, but will unplugging them completely break a circuit somewhere and cause something else not to work? Thanks
  13. Where are you guys meeting and eating? I finish work at half 5 then it takes about an hour and half to get there so might have to just meet you there...
  14. Hey Westy, cant believe I havent even seen this thread yet... Good work going on there mate it looks immaculate. Just one question, how are you finding the M/Ts and the hks HII coilovers for street use? And more importantly getting a good lauch?
  15. Yeah that is a shambles really, postage is a joke at the best of times.
  16. Yep all closed. Is there no way of testing it for fault codes some how?
  17. Still have these 2 lights on and am running out of ideas. I have checked the brake fluid level and topped up to the top of the max line, handbrake is fully off, nothing flashes or goes off when overdrive is pressed or depressed. Anything else I should check?
  18. I dont like it either but then im probably just best off waiting until the summer now... Damn weather!
  19. I dont think its about learning to drive it, the point was to see if my traction control was working correctly.... Why have a traction control wet setting if you still cant drive it?
  20. Wow, I think that will solve all to my problems as the car does seem a little unbalanced under normal driving. Thanks again
  21. Ok mate thats enough said, its in Buckinghamshire so not close but something for the new year before the pod I guess.
