  1. AND!! Make sure when you put the torque converter and gearbox back on you somehow align the TC bolt holes to the flywheel holes. I had a hell of a trouble once it was all fixed together spinning the TC to align the holes up. Not sure what the proper procedure is but it took bloomin ages.
  2. Thanks mate appreciate it Cheers matey thanks I know thats one of the few things I need to finish the exterior and I will get round to it in the new year, but thanks mate. Cheers Graham thanks for taking the time to read through it all
  3. Jesus! Its been a while since I viewed this thread and theres so many cars here now I thought there would be 10 max. I may as well add mine lol.
  4. Thanks very much guys I really appreciate the kind words from you all It has payed off all those nights in the garage rubbing down lol. I did think I would never finish as its all trial an error as its my first bit of body work ive done but im really happy with it Thanks matey, there 10j front and 12j rear with 20mm spacers. I didnt intend to use spacers but they were the widest wheels I could find at the time. I could probably get away with a 345 tire and no spacers.
  5. Well as I got some free time to myself I decided to give my car a nice clean and get some proper pictures up as I havent really had the time yet. So here they are
  6. Hi all, just a quick question as I dont think my airbags are connected up anyway as the airbag light has been on since buying the car, I was thinking of swapping my passenger side airbag with the upper glovebox as it looks alot better imo. Firstly how do I remove this without it blowing up in my face? Is it easy to replace with the upper glove box and is this a common mod? Thanks.
  7. So much hard work gone into this car yet not really my cup of tea. As long as the owner is proud of hes work thats all that matters I suppose....
  8. Ah I see. Im not sure what fittings were used as all the engine work was done by the previous owner as if it was me things would all be done properly. In the new year my plans are to replace all the plumbing around the engine with quality fittings all round including both radiator hoses in 24an pipe and fittings. Alot of money for no performance gains but a nice reasurance for piece of mind. Thanks for the reply Chris
  9. Have a nice christmas guys and i'll hopefully see you on the 4th
  10. Not really. Negative is easy enough and positive is just 2 cables, one to the starter and one to the fuse box (the easiest one).
  11. +1 Both my terminals are cracked and need replacing as there loose around the battery terminals and theres not enough cable to cut them off and solder new ones on. I probably will have to change the whole lead with new terminals soldered on.
  12. Im 24 passed my test when I was 17 then again at 22. Have 1 years no claims and had the supra for 5 months.
  13. Theres your answers Just to cheekly add whats the best way to clean the outer parts, cooling fins etc.
  14. If this actually happens I thank everyone thats organised it. It will be my first ever event and I will just be there for the fun as well as setting myself a personal record. It would be awesome to know how quick I can do the 1/4 with the built box and high stall. Low 11s would be amazing! Nice and hot that time if year too, exciting!
  15. I have braided hose and aeroquip style fittings for my turbo water and oil lines but the water feed fitting at the turbo end is leaking steam after a hard or long normal drive. Its only slightly if you was to look carefully nothing major. I can replace this it dont bother me but why steam not water? Is this because temps increase when let out into atmospheric pressure so by this time its just turned to steam or do I have an air lock possibly with no water in the line?
  16. Welcome to the club Nice car! I really want the TRD 10k tach on mine
  17. I always thought H beams were stronger than I beams but it depends on what alloy is used I suppose. I would keep the revs to 8.5k maximum for saftey whether your running bpu or 1000+ hp as its supprising how much more force an extra few mm of stroke can put on the rods at higher rpm. Having said that its just my opinion im not really an expert on this. Go for it anyway! And welcome to the club
  18. The Punisher..... Everywhere I go now I constantly here whispering in the background " Hey look its the punisher" "Wowwww". Jokes a side it does make a thread easier to find and adds character to the car.
  19. I bought one too and sent it straight back! I went to fit putting the 2 legs in the rubber holes at the bottom, immediately looked at the top of the rad and the left side of it was 1" away from the frame while the other side was touching! The damn thing was twisted. I went straight to SRD and bought one of there radiators and the quality and price makes it one of the best imo.
  20. Yeah I was looking into getting it covered in pasta but I use my car as a daily and didnt fancy towing it around to get the pasta installed. I could do it myself but if it goes wrong the cars finished mate.
  21. Not yet matey. I was just trying to work out why none of the lights were on when I bought the car. Could it be that the spoiler switch was un plugged and now ive plugged it back in?
  22. So where can I tap into the main loom that gives the same signal?
  23. Yeah thats probably the most common problem of warning lights. I topped mine up to the top of the MAX line and there still on. Also handbrake switch is functioning properly.
