  1. Hi and welcome Nice car that is, I was tempted to buy it once.
  2. Yes but I left the bracket holding the power steering pump on, so in other words take the whole thing off then take the guts off the pump leaving just the flat metal bit that bolts to the block and PS pump.
  3. Belt PK 1865 for air con delete, if thats what you mean.
  4. Yeah that was a pretty bad suggestion Im not thinking of selling or breaking mine just yet guys but im saying when the time comes (which it will).
  5. Or I could put my shell on this- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chevy-camaro-street-drag-rebuilt-402-chevy-th350-hauser-3-4-chassis-strange-9-/121043027533?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item1c2eba064d Ah thats true mate
  6. I dont think its possible to label anyone that drives a supra a "chav" as for one they clearly have a job, and secondly spend all there free time on there car and not hanging around down highstreets or the seafront causing trouble and being a nuisance. But then again a chav could be someone that wears a type of clothing im guessing.... I would like to sell mine but if I dont get interest then i'll have to break which could be equaly annoying as people always seem to get left with the shell and other little bits that dont sell. I just try not to count what I spend so its a bonus for whatever it sells for.
  7. I dont think so, I think its partly down to the recession as insurance and fuel prices are stinging people aswel let alone buying a performance car to begin with. I suppose im just gunno enjoy having mine until there worthless then break...
  8. I was thinking the exact thing the other day, I wouldnt know where to begin with breaking mine let alone pricing things up. I hope the market does go back up I dont think i'll get half back on mine what ive spent the way things are selling. What you thinking Rob?
  9. Just ask Hodge or Rob Mitchel or others who have removed it. Ive never once been driving along and thought, hmmm the air could do with being a bit colder in here lol. I dont really use my heater, stereo, wipers or lights either.... Its just how ive always been that if I dont use something, it goes in the bin
  10. Must be a faulty switch as I still have no luck with it no matter how gently I press it.
  11. I just stuck a screw driver in the fill valve at the front and emptied it. Mine looked damaged too and it was in the way of my coolers so thats why I removed it.
  12. Its just another thing to go wrong/maintain in my books. Im not really interested in my luxury extras in my cars I just like to have fun Ha, im stupid but not that stupid Whats petrol?
  13. I got rid of all my aircon stuff Thats me! Sorry Dr Dunk
  14. Thanks Dunk No joke im affraid Just me being a half wit again lol. Ha, leave me alone
  15. So all those times in the rain ive been driving round with the window fully open because of the windows misting up. Silly sod...
  16. Wise choice, I wouldnt fancy changing mine again.
  17. Oh really! Ive never even realised you can half press it lol. Proves how heavy handed I am i'll check this in a bit. Thanks
  18. Just a slight problem with my drivers side window as sometimes it wont open and I first have to press the switch up then down for it to open. Then it wont stop when I let go it carries on going all the way down. Then I have to press the switch down for a second then up for it to go back up again with the same problem occuring when I let go it just carries on going up. Passenger side works fine. Something is obviously faulty but what?
  19. I will probably leave the loom attatched to the engine when I do mine and re solder the wires that need cutting. If its as easy as it sounds I shouldnt have a problem getting it out as I have a fully mobile engine hoist on sliding gurders across the garage ceiling and a full size inspection pit for the bits underneith. Will still take me a couple of days no doubt as im not a mechanic and have little experience but its all fun I suppose
  20. Blast! Just realised that its gunno be a pita for me as the syvecs is hard wired into the engine loom somewhere in the footwell. As far as I know without an after market ecu it just unplugs and takes a bit of patients to feed it through carefully.
  21. Im glad that my thread is inspiring people to go forth with there builds as I was first inspired by many other builds on here. Thanks for the nice comment and taking the time to read it all Thank you very much!
  22. +1 on this as I would like to do this too.
  23. This is what I done and pushed it slowely into the box turning it before if clicked into place. But when I finally bolted the gearbox on the TC was pressed against the flywheel and I had to spin the TC by bending a coat hanger pulling it round until it aligned up Should there have been a gap between the TC and flywheel then? I been driving around hard accelerating with no problems so far lets just hope it was a fluke.
