  1. Dont drink coffee on the street then On a serious note money isn't everything mate, just think about the things you do have and not what you dont have. There are many things out there I want but cant have but I just enjoy what ive got and its the same with most people, chin up dude.
  2. I get like this sometimes, nothing to do with the car I love my car. You just need to get stuck in and set yourself a goal that you must finish regardless of what happens. Unless of course there is no possible chance in hell of keeping the car for what ever reason. Wait for the sun to come back give it a clean, go for a drive, get some pictures then see how you feel
  3. There are members on here that have been more than helpfull to me and I cant thank them enough. If I come accross to people as having a chip on my shoulder then I will only start posting progress in my thread and leave it as that.
  4. I know your not looking for answers anymore on this lol, but I thought I would mention that the box I bought from Titan apparently does have a uprated 2nd gear sprag. Not sure if this is a new thing or it really doesnt
  5. It would be nice to meet some of you with these views against me in person as you will then see im not the idiot that keeps ignoring people you think I am as im not. Just after advice, opinions and answers to get a knowledge of MY car thats all! I dont wish to take this any further and would be prefured to be contacted via PM in future if there is a problem with one of my threads.
  6. But thats another thing, I didnt even start the wire tuck I unplugged the loom looked at it and thought its more complex than I thought then put it back together again. Then couldnt find my fog lights because the previous owner had wired them up as side lights and also my dash lights were on due to the led rears I have installed again not knowing that was normal so posted about it then people thought I had ruined the loom. I am not that strong at explaining things from a keyboard and can have a much better conversation in person which is why I probably have this problem of people getting mixed up with my questions.
  7. I have no idea what your going on about, and im not being rude. I replied to Shane with what action I perfomed after the advice smithy89 gave yesterday, and also answered Shanes question that no the syvecs display does not drop back when I unplug the sensor. I havent touched anything on the engine for this to happen so its not my fault, people assuming that I have broken it is there opinion but the fact is, I havent. I bought a car from a member on here that he said it was in A1 mechanical condition, when really he is the one responsible for these problems..
  8. Yes I did search multiple forums first with no luck, thats why I asked here. I must be extremely stupid as I cant find an example where I have ignored peoples advice. People post everyday about problems that have occured with there car and read on a whole lot of things to try, things to test, do that, do this. I dont, I get this! Do I have to mention it in my sig that the car is being looked at? Or do I just not post about this sort of thing and let someone else that may have the same problem one day post the exact same thing I have?
  9. Thats what I thought but i'll be repeating myself if I say again, I have! I need to wait to get certain parts repaired before it can be seen. Im writing this now but it dont matter because someone else will reply to this or another thread telling me to get my car looked at. I dont know if its a joke or my posts are not being read but all I can do is repeat myself.
  10. Cheers, im not starting again tho mate just getting through it slowly lol. Ive only just started
  11. Im not sure I know what you mean.
  12. I know it is and what ive done is a very small percentage of what I have planned. Im happy with the work ive done but its definately not finished
  13. Lazy! Yep he certainly is, hes gunno be doing most of the work on this car which is good also as hes quite local.
  14. Does anyone actually read my posts I feel like im constantly repeating myself lol. Not having a go mate but I keep saying the car is going to Dude at Austec for sorting out and rebuilding ONCE my gearbox is rebuilt. For the time being I thought it would be a good idea to post my problems for anyone that expierences the same thing in the future. I dont care that the car has problems I dont care that I cant drive it, its a project. Im rebuilding a car that when I bought was quite frankly a heap of junk, hence my project thread. To answer your question I dont think its a syvecs feature as it has never done this before and the gauges shouldnt be displaying what they are. On page 1 of this thread there is a screenshot of the syvecs which clearly indicates something wrong with the coolant temp wiring/sensor.
  15. I unplugged the syvecs sensor this morning and also shorted the sensor wires but I still got the 100 degree reading the syvecs display. The 120 degree is the marker which shows the max it has reached previously. I doubt it will be the stock sensor as this has nothing to do with the reading on the syvecs display. Also EGT temp has stayed on 9000 degrees and oil has stayed on 90 degrees.
  16. I never said the overall goal was 600hp this is what my car should be pushing now without the gearbox slip. The parts list makes perfect sense to replace the 20 year old components with new stronger parts to prevent any mis haps when I go for more power. I didnt buy the supra to look good
  17. Cheers guys, yes lots of pics To be honest mate I had a long talk with Dude that persuided me to stay with the built auto. For one of the reasons that a decent clutch costs more than the autobox plus theres more chance of the box lasting longer than a clutch. Also I would need to gain around 150bhp just to keep up with the the autobox times.
  18. Due to a recent string of events that have kept my car off the road ive decided my car is no longer The Punisher lol, this has gone a step to far now and I feel the name has jinxed the build and just held things up. So with a simple title name change I hope now it will give me less grief and I can get on with the build and enjoy it A small update: The gearbox is being sent off over the weekend for rebuilding as I had a lockup problem causing the car to feel sluggish and lazy, then when this comes back the car is going to (Dude) for a full going over to every last loose end that was holding the build up and where he will install the box for me and get the car running how it should. By then I can get the car dyno'd again and hopefully push well over 600bhp as it should have done last time but the transmission was slipping. Plans for the rest of the year: As some of you know my engine hasnt really been in the peak of its life with the problems ive been having so im going for an extensive rebuild as I want this car to last me well. I have a ported and polished race spec head with 272 cams dual valve springs etc and a complete forged block will be on the cards in the next few weeks also, I will be building the engine on a stand cleaning every last nut bolt and have some nice polished and anodized parts too, but also want to swap in a better up to date turbo and after market intake to make the most out of the new head which im hoping to get this done by next winter and do the swap over the winter period. During the build of the engine im going to be doing little bits and pieces to the bay like removing the trac gear and pumps, maybe tuck the abs unit under the scuttle pannel? Has this been done? If for some reason its not doable then I will remove it all together. Next will be the battery to the boot and then have a custom engine loom made up to tidy all the unwanted wires and extend the fuse box that will sit next to the battery in the boot. By this time the engine bay should be pretty cleaned up and leave room for the new engine and IC piping etc. Finally when the old engine comes out is when I will get the engine bay sprayed to match the car and have it smoothed also and by this time I should have the new engine finished ready to drop in and have everything running and mapped by next summer. There is alot of work above but they are the plans im sticking too and setting myself a time period for each step and I will hopefully stay within the time period and then start enjoying the car
  19. This will be the better option, I do have a multimeter but ive never used it tho. I'll check the resistance values and see what the sensor is reading.
  20. Thanks Adam thats helpfull. I think whats happened is ive mistaken AAP for making various designs and assumed the kit I bought had the curved blade Zirtec fans as pictured. So they obviously sell numerous fans but the ones pictured on MVP are the high flowing ones. These could be a standard fan fitted to the shroud but the car they came off was pushing some numbers so I have little to worry about
