  1. Please excuss my first post I thought you were on about actuall cam covers Lexan cam gear covers I take it your talking about, they look great imo, as long as you have some bling cam gears Marco that engine looks great btw!
  2. Yeah that will look good, what indicators are they do they come with leds in them?
  3. Ryan had trouble mapping mine also said he couldnt get it to stick in the right gear and manu mode never worked. Is yours a stock box? Why has manu mode been disabled on yours? I lost 40bhp with a .2 bar boost increase
  4. Yeah thats the same as mine, prehaps the previous owner thought it was easier to wire in the fogs than change a bulb It doesn't look to bad on yours but I have HID dipped lights. But as you said white led sides in the bumper should sort the look out.
  5. God knows why and who would wire them up like this, looks awfull.
  6. Black looks nice although on a stock wheel I would go with silver.
  7. My fog lights come on as sidel ights for some reason, when I tracked the wiring back they have been wired through a relay and to the lighting circuit for the cig lighter and heater controls It passed an mot but when I re wire these up to actually perform as fog lights do I wire the 2 tiny bulbs up for side lights that sit next to the indicators? Sorry for hijacking your thread btw
  8. Thanks! Its not that hard tbh its just a case of unsoldering all the old leds and soldering new ones in. I had to make a few custom PCBs to mount in parts of the dial switches that wernt that lit up with just the single led. Apart from that its all good
  9. I would keep the stock cam covers and polish them up. I haven't ever seen clear cam covers but it wouldnt be to my taste. As others have said you can get lexan front covers and have a nice billet spark plug cover.
  10. Now I just need to sort that nasty looking wire thats something to do with the alarm system plugged onto the IG- port. Hopefully a diagnostic test can still be performed with this alarm cable unplugged what ever its for.
  11. Yeah that makes sense now. Thanks guys.
  12. Well ive found out what its for - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?51170-Data-Link-Connector-No1-WA-WB-Wire-Link-Any-Ideas I just didnt find any info saying this must be removed prior to a diagnostics check.
  13. Just a quick search on google and found the same thing - Bottom right 2 ports. Edit: All the images I can find have this here, so it must need removing to plug the diagnostics machine into?
  14. Cheers mate, yeah I cant wait to see it all together after the panels are done. Need to replace that crummy steering wheel next
  15. Thanks for looking mate! I cant work out what its for, it doesnt look bodged and looks more oem like its meant to be there. Its the box in the engine bay. I'll get a picture when I uncover my car next.
  16. Can someone look in there diagnostic port please and tell me if you have the same thing?
  17. What exactly do you mean mate, where the lines go? Monitering pressure?
  18. Almost done now with my led dash conversion, I ran out of leds and had to wait for some more because I decided to use more than 1 led on each button so it lights the whole thing rather than a little spot in the middle. I just need another heater control unit to chop up and adapt to this one for the extra dial switch which the syvecs will go on, the image below is just for reference and the heater temp will remain in its stock position.
  19. That looks mean! Well priced too for an 8 cylinder. I still prefur the new camaro though although there both great looking cars.
  20. Ok well it is my opinion and I did mention that there are better brands out there as for what the op wants, is something suitable for the job. The fittings are all made from the same space industry materials and are made for extreme circumstances such as race engines but each company has there slight differences. I dont think I have the best out there my car is no where near as good as I would like it to be, but when someone asks for advice and I have the experience to back it up then of course im going to post. I admit im new to the supra and what I have built is completley different to the supra but in the past, I have built some full working race engines from scratch with all the help from a simple manual and a vast range of tools I have at my garage. The reason I post is because most of the things I need help with are a bit more in depth than what im used to with other cars I have owned such as questions related to a syvecs etc. If I knew how to diagnose I problem through the syvecs then I would be mapping my own car, but I dont, and neither do the majority of this forum. By the way you posted it sounded like torques fittings were well known for breaking and are nothing but problems which I assumed you have had some bad experiences with them. If one in hundred people have had a bad experience with something it dont necessarily mean its junk.
  21. I used a PK 1865 when I removed my aircon and it fits perfect.
  22. I have used these on all my cars and never had a problem, so has Rob Mitchell. Quite clearly I have not given false information, just advice from personal experience which I think they are great! Why would I post something to mislead somone into buying rubbish, I dont know what your experience is with them but with the right hands they are as good as good. Lets hear about your bad experience with torques fittings then?? I have built cars and engines for about 10 years now and dont need to be told whats good and whats not lmao, its getting boring.
