  1. Looks nice! What's the plans then mate?
  2. Well done Dave I cant believe you havent fitted them skirts yet!
  3. Im not sure if ive missed something but i've just read through this entire thread and was hoping for a happy ending, did you get this problem sorted in the end?
  4. Eww god that made me cringe, very close indeed that could have been alot worse. Good job keeping one step ahead!
  5. Ok thanks mate. Stuff like the covers I will use anodised aluminium but for everything else I think i'll just get chromed. Its a bit harder building an engine from scratch as I have to source every single bit!
  6. Locate the black sleeve in the drivers footwell and push it forward whilst pulling the release...
  7. Can anyone that's done this give me some input please, can I get stainless exhaust manifold studs? As mine have severly rusted and I want the new build to last looking fresh. I dont want any bolts going rusty so where can I find suitable fasteners to fit all the parts on a 2jz?
  8. So can I use aluminium anodised hex bolts for stuff like the sump cover, cam covers etc? What fasteners can I use for stuff like the manifolds and water pump etc?
  9. I thought so, just checking before I order some parts.
  10. Good stuff, looking forward to the result!
  11. I see, sounds good. I've probably missed it somewhere but what power are you expecting to make with this to the hubs?
  12. I want blue mate flame coloured isn't really the theme im going for.
  13. What about studs and nuts for the manifolds? Is high grade aluminium suitable for cam covers and sump cover etc?
  14. Loving that Paul! Is that an S366? Thats what im going with it looks a tad bigger than I thought.
  15. Nice plans John, some lovely parts going into this!
  16. ARP are the internal engine fasteners, im looking for decorative exterior engine bolts that are still strong enough to hold the accessories and covers etc. Thanks, im sure there have been members that have every nut and bolt anodised and colour matched on there show engines, this is what im looking for instead of the standard hardware.
  17. The group buy has finished now mate.
  18. Hi all, Regarding my new engine build im wondering where the best place is to buy various nuts and bolts to piece the engine together as im building it from scratch with new parts. Its mainly all the exterior nuts, bolts and studs for things like the exhaust manifold, pumps cam covers, sump etc. Is it possible to use aircraft grade anodised ones? If so I take it im best off looking up the sizes and making a custom order. Or even just a fresh set of oem parts just to get the engine together. If anyone can point me in the right direction please let me know, Thanks
  19. I ordered it from Titan in the end as it can be packaged with my transmission. On another note can ARP head studs be reused? Because I have 2 sets one on the car and one on the new engine but I want to take the head back off to go over everything.
  20. Thanks for clearing that up Keron. In that case I'll pass on the cylinder you have for sale as I need a 3 port mate.
  21. I'm surprised no one knows lol. I would look on mine but it's covered and locked away
  22. Cheers mate it should look much better than before.
