  1. Cheers Luc, would you recommend billet mains also? What power are stock mains at there safe limit?
  2. Can anyone advise me on whether I would need L19 headstuds over regular Arp studs if using nitrous?
  3. I may be wrong but I thought you need two knock sensors to monitor the front and rear of the engine. As for the temp sensors I think the single wire is for the ecu and two wires are for gauges.
  4. I thought stock bolts were designed to stretch once torqued down leaving them useless when removed. I'm using arp anyway there not that expensive.
  5. If this came about yesterday I would have had that stroker kit Some serious bargains there!
  6. Them custom looms look an easy job Some seriously good work going into this mate
  7. Holy hell Mark thats not good at all Good attitude to the rebuild though I would be sobbing to myself if that happened to me!
  8. This should look lovely with a bit of DAW magic! A gold plated V8 I think you should cover the engine with crystals too
  9. Can anyone advise me on what size bearings to get - Im having my spare engine rebuilt but is it necerssary to have a line bore on a low milage engine which I assume will require an oversize bearing?
  10. I have a full size inspection pit in the garage so it made the job a few times easier, but basically I loaded a transmission jack underneith, unbolted the converter through the inspection hole, unbolted the gearbox (top 2 bolts you need a very long extension bar and go in from behind the box). Once these are all undone slide it back on the jack then lower slightly undoing all the connectors, then lower fully and off it is Not forgetting the gearbox mount bolts and cooler pipes but you know that
  11. Mate I would just take a NA box from Keron, a filter and fluid change wont fix the components burnt out from running it low.
  12. As mentioned in your other thread a good second hand transmission will be around the £300 mark, not to forget that if you have debris in your transmission then you have more than likely got to replace your torque convertor also. As for fitting I did a complete box swap in 3 hours so no more than £150 I would imagine for labour.
  13. I would like to know this also, at the moment I have a stock pulley but with the air con compessor removed and the belt is a PK 1865 iirc. I have an ATI pulley to go on soon which I guess calls for a longer belt but which one I dont know.
  14. Yeah I have that one mate but it dont say what the colours should be unfortunately. It was just a moment of confusion as looking at the manuals every wire was correct except this one which got me confused. Thanks for your help anyway
  15. Ok I have just found that the 97-98 models use a white/black ground and everything before uses a brown ground wire.
  16. Thanks, the manual I have downloaded and the one on the home page both show the colour should be white/black. Could I check by looking at all the sensor wires ie water temp, tps and check for either a brown ground or white/black ground? I have a UK spec btw.
  17. Top work Dave im very pleased with them they look much better mate. I cant wait to get them back in the car now Thanks very much!
  18. This is the E2 wire at pin 65 I am looking for, the manual says it should be a white/black wire but I have a brown one instead. Can anyone confirm that this is correct or do the colours vary on different models? Thanks
  19. Ouch! Thats always something I would dread at the strip something going pop. I would get it replaced with a TRD diff mate, expensive but worth it. On the brighter side though, good times and well done!
  20. Its a shame I was working today I was gunno pop along. Well done mate, I knew you could do it!
  21. Just a quick question as i've been looking through the manuals and I cant find any information on this. I know the stock ECU has ground wires but has the actuall casing of the ECU got to have a good ground also? Reason I ask is because I lifted my carpet last night to find the ecu loosly placed and not secured down by the two nuts at the bottom. Thanks in advance.
  22. Just cap the ports for the lines if you don't want it.
