    Tensioner

Manuals have the dampener and auto's dont.
  3. Thats not a bad price for the zirotec I always thought it was mega money, does a decent titanium wrap not cost around this price anyway?
  4. I took my compressor housing and oil drain off and used an offset ring spanner from underneith, as above though just be carefull not to ding the compressor wheel.
  5. What connector did you push through the boot lid the loom connector or the wiper/light connectors? Its ok mate, not my thread
  6. Oh really? I couldnt see how they could possibly fit through but then again I cant say I really tried lol.
  7. When I tried to remove my boot lid I didnt know about this connector in the quarter panel so tried pulling the loom through the boot lid but the connectors are too big. Its a 5 minute job to cut and solder
  8. I dont think its possible unless you cut the plugs off for the 3rd brake light and wiper then pull the loom through.
  9. I see that makes sense Are these straight forward to fit and is there a special way of running it in etc?
  10. At a total guess I think its more down to how much boost can be achieved without leaning out a particular cylinder from un even air distribution.
  11. Nice work! Can I just ask what the process for freezing then boiling the diff is about?
  12. Just a general rebuild with some uprated parts as my engine's getting on a bit now. I will post in my project thread when the new parts arrive incase I change my mind again
  13. He just said its something to consider when going beyond 1100hp which I definately wont be doing
  14. Thats what I read, I would like to see the difference in gains on various manifolds for the same engine too. Ive just been speaking with Sean at Titan and he said the billet mains would be pointless for my build so I will stick with the stock caps, you'll be ok though you have a room to grow with the 6 speed
  15. Love this car! First time ive seen the light intake mod you've been working on I it looks rather cool mate
  16. You can have any size throttle body you want but I think stock sized is best for most power goals IMO.
  17. Oh dear never mind Edit: Can you please explain to me why aftermarket manifolds don't help increase power? Will it not be a good idea as a forum to explain these things for people to learn?
  18. +2 The stock may be good for 1000hp but a well made aftermarket not only looks alot better but will help gain a few extra horses.
  19. Thanks that explains it then, I think half inch will be a bit extreme so I'll go standard sized.
  20. Nicely done Lee very discrete Boot blind next?
  21. Cheers mate i'll bare that in mind. There must be 2 sized L19s - http://www.titanmotorsports.com/l19hekit1inf.html Regarding this type people have said they need to be permenently oiled or they become brittle and snap is this true?
  22. Thanks Luc, better safe than sorry they say. I thought about upgrading the caps after seeing yours and decided why the engine's apart and having everything else upgraded then I may aswel, still unsure on this one for the moment. Do L19 studs require the block and head to be machined? I might go for the H11 type that are still stronger than the standard ARP studs.
  23. I see where your coming from and did think about leaving it stock but for what it costs I don't really wanna take the risk and be replacing engines every couple of years. Once it's built its a nice platform for almost anything and keeps the mind at rest everytime it's driven hard. I think running high boost and nitrous at an increased rev limit would make me cringe on a stock block. Thanks for the advice anyway.
