    Depends how much you love the car, but you could do the valve steam seals and convert the car to a 6 speed manual for around the same price as buying a good TT6 and tbh if you've got the money to buy a TT6 you'd be much better of fixing this one as with the Valve steam seals going I doubt you'd get more then about 4k for the car.

    What there talking about is just when the 2JZ GE engine climbs onto the power cam, but yes really they have no clue what there talking about.

    On my phone so this might not be the best description ever, but basically the top section where the hazards button is all in one section, heald on by 5 or 6 screws, disconnect all the connectors, then unscrew I believe there's two screws that hold a cover around the instrument cluster. After that pull the handbrake/gearbox cover off, then you should be able to pull the section where the radio is off. Should be all you need to know. Unless I've missed something.

    NUR Spec R! Mental exhaust, especially once the engine goes above about 4k, I took some friends for a ride in my TT, they where sat in Tescos and could hear me 2 miles away

    Can buy my V160 box if you want nudge nudge wink wink etc But yeah I have heard the TT auto box's holding 550/600 going on for years, safest option is really a V160/161 box but depends how much your willing to spend. Wouldn't bother with the R154 option either, it works out almost as expensive as going for a 6 speed in the end really, so what's the point?

    Suppose I better own up, it was indeed my fault for writing the car off, although it hasn't been declared a write off by the insurance company yet, I would love to fix the car but unfortunately at the moment its a question of money but if I can possibly avoid writing the car off then I will.

    As Supra Gaz says, 450 is about there limit, probably no more than 500 with gearbox cooler
