  1. I was 22 when I bought my N/A was 3.5k to insure with 1 NCB driving for just over a year. UK spec cars are cheaper to insure, as they are not imports, you shouldn't insure your parents on it, only for you to drive it as guinsy said that is illegal, best thing you can do is insure it in your name as you being the main driver then put your parents on as named drivers, this should help to bring it down quite a bit. How much you pay also massively depends on your postcode. You will defiantly need a full time job with one of these cars, I used to go through about £400 a month in fuel in my N/A used to do about 350-400 miles to a tank
  2. Awesome work as always Lee, progressing nicely
  3. I think CW or Paul Whiffin, both do uprated SMIC that will easily handle BPU. Maybe try them for an easier option
  4. Look forward to seeing it at bluewater John when it's all been changed over
  5. You are correct I know Rob and Jcbt are running over 600bhp on a stock auto box
  6. Awesome thread, I regret not coming along this year, hopefully I will be able to make next year, Pete's right up is Hilarious and rather worrying! And although Jamie you said you fluffed up that launch, you still managed to upstage everyone else who just did a flyby by actually coming to a stop and launching the car
  7. Awesome video Ellis and good save despite the corrupted fotage, I shall try and get my videos uploaded later when I'm home from work Oh and the end bit is defiantly worth the wait
  8. I made a couple of small videos, one of Biebers car backfiring in the dartford tunnel, but they are nothing amazing as I took them on my iPhone but I shall try and get them uploaded later
  9. Yup thats the one, pretty good lens for the price, build quality isn't up to much, but then again for the money you pay for it you can't complain really
  10. I'd be interested in the rods and pistons matey, give us a PM when your thinking of selling them, can't wait to see this when its done, gonna be a beast!
  11. I would go out in one, or better yet if you can find someone let you drive one so you can get a full experience of what your letting yourself in for.
  12. Sweeet! Why are you certain there will be a Pod next year Branners out of interest?
  13. +1 save a little bit longer and get a Syvecs
  14. Does she drive straight mate, if that's alright and she doesn't crap down the road then I would say yes repairable, check all the suspension components over and I suspect that would be around £800-1k in labour from a respectable body shop, that's just my two cents though
  15. Cheers to Scott and Branners to organising this event, Film was excellent, food was awesome and the tunnel run was immense shall try and get the pictures I took up soon.
  16. I would say unbolt the exhaust it would make it easier for the couple of bolts you need to undo and make it less difficult when your dropping the gearbox and prop out the way
