  1. Can somebody please give me an URL to the SRD-kit? And just to be clear, my Fmic-kit is just as much for show as for go. I probably dont need it since our summers are pretty cold..but i love the looks of it
  2. Hey Im planning on installing an Fmic this summer. Im currently running 1.0 bar of boost, no heavy modifications done to the car. Im searching for a quality product. I dont want to cut too much in my body work, and it has to fit properly and look good on the car. Im currently leaning towards either a kit from ETS or Whifbitz. So please, advice needed!
  3. But the boot rubbers should not be affected by the wheels turning over, should they? Im getting a squeek every half rotation the rear right wheel does, which increases by the speed of the wheel. Im pretty sure its a joint, but sure i can try that.
  4. Im pretty sure its the uv-joint. Took the car for a spin this evening, the same noise appeared. My dad who is a car freak had the same idea. Im going to jack the car up after my next drive and look closer. Should you be able to feel if the joint is worn by rotating the wheel?
  5. My Supra has just passed the MOT, and I have driven it about 200 miles this season. And I have noticed that a squeaking noise appears from the rear sometimes. Almost the same noise you can get from the brakes at times. Some facts; The noise only appears when I have exceeded speeds of 65 mph, never else The noises changes to the speed of the car, not the rpm The car is OEM except of Chris Wilson brakes The noise is not affected by applying brake or hand brake I have felt the wheels, brake calipers, brake discs after every ride, and nothing seems unnaturally hot So, ideas if you will? I thought it could be a bearing, but it does not make that kind of noise. And the fact that it only appears first after I have passed a certain speed. Strange and annoying.
  6. Im getting my Supra ready for the season, and im giving the inside of the car a cleaning. My seats are in great condition, but in order to keep them in this condition i want to treat them with some leather care. Do you have any suggestions on what product to use?
  7. Do they? I was under the impression that they drive on the left side of the road, with the low beam aimed to the left aswell? As a swede, i drive on the right side of the road, and with my jdm lights aimed to the left, im flashing passing cars.
  8. Ok, so OEM lights which are set to be "legal" with right hand traffic = glass headlights?
  9. I need a new quick answer! I've just learned that the lenses are made of plastic. Isn't all euro/us headlights fitted with glass lenses?? Need a quick response. Due to collect in matter of hours!
  10. I’ve gotten hold of a pair of EUR-spec headlights. They are pre facelift with the chrome insert. Will these lights split open if you want to repaint the inserts in black in order to get the facelift look?? I’m due to collect them this evening so a quick response would be appreciated.
  11. I bought a midpipe for my tt supra last summer. But as of right now im not sure if im going to fit it to the car. Im only running a 4" decat and air filter, bpu plugs and better gas pump, will the midpipe do any difference? I dont have a fcd or boost controller.
  12. Would be happy to buy them from you, but im guessing the shipping to Sweden would be to expensive however i will get back to you regarding the other parts i requested in my e-mail to you. The car will appear in the largest swedish car magazine this spring.
  13. Thanks a bunch Paul! Are theese gaped correctly out of the box?
  14. I noticed that my TT-96 misfired off and on last summer. My Supra mechanic told me to start by replacing the spark plugs. I've read some threads on which plugs to use when running full bpu. But what should i be using? The only mods on my car is a cat-back and a full flow air filter. Im currently running about 0,9 bar of boost. Should i go bpu or oem?
  15. I've just bought a trd wing for my Supra mkiv. What is the proper installation sequence when fitting it to the car? Should i install the side pieces on the car to start with, and then fit the wing blade? Or is the proper way to screw the wing togehter before fitting it to the car?
  16. I've been planning to upgrade my intercooler and a have a local dealer who does a great deal on a kit from Torque. Is anyone using this? Want to know if I have to modify my bodywork when installing this?
  17. Thanks everyone! Supra is the way to go
  18. I've been the proud owner of a Supra TT V160 6 speed in mint condition for about 5 months now. The car was previously owned by Si Supra. The car was exported to Sweden in March of 2012 and im the first owner in Sweden. The car had two owners in the UK where it was registred in 1996. It has a full service history at Toyota. Im running at about 0,9 bar of boost right now. Due to a replacement of the oil pump and cam belt im putting my thoughts of going full BPU to rest for the following season. I've owned a lot of performance cars in the past. I've had a rare Pontiac Firebird Formula Ram Air WS6, a Corvette C5 FRC. I've also owned several turbocharged Volvos. None of the cars has given me the same excitement as the Supra. I'm employed as an certified public auditor. I play the guitar. I have a spouse, Ida. An URL to my Supra; http://www.garaget.org/Ramming_Air I've been posting some threads on this forum and i have to say, everyone is very helpfull! Hope to see you next summer when im planning to take my Supra on an european tour
  19. I've owned Trans Am's, Corvettes, ultra fast Volvos (yes, the can make a lot of HP) and some things you cant measure in cash. Every time im heading to the garage to pick up my Supra i get a smile on my face. The sound when i start her up... Like the commercial says...its priceless. Same thing with my Corvettes. You dont buy these cars as an investment as in "i want my cash back when i sell it" You buy it because you love them and the feeling they provide you with. If it came down to bying a brooker car (E92) or a Supra..my decision would be simple. Supra every time. An ordinary car simply cant provide the feeling that a Supra can. Get a nice one..or restore the one you have. Then you will have one of the best performance cars on the planet. And i can tell you..nice Supras in Sweden can sell for well over £15 000..mine did..
  20. Update..im going to drive my car the 45 miles to the Supra-mechanic this sunday. I got a god deal on replacement of the seal, cam belt and oil pump, oil change. Guess my BPU-dreams will have to wait another year. But at least i'll know the car is safe to drive when in comes to oil pressure. And despite of everything..i still love my Supra a lot ;P Thanks for all your help! If anyone needs assistance on the LT1/LS1 engines...im your guy Im also a certified public auditor, so if your having issues with your taxes, i'll give you a hand Cheers!
  21. Hellstrom, im from Värnamo; Småland. And your bang on when it comes to Toyotas qoute, 15000 SEK. As of right now im unsure if i should turn to my dealer for help. Have you changed the pump? Send me a pm at http://www.garaget.org/Ramming_Air
  22. Thanks for the advice Listy. So to sum up, i could try fitting a new seal initially. If this also starts to leak, then it's final, i need a new oil pump as well? I just dont want to do a massive amount of work if it's not neccesary. My car "only" has 120 000 km on it with a full service history. But i guess milage isn't everything when the car gets to be 16 years old.
  23. A couple of further questions regarding this matter. 1. Does replacing the gasket require lifting the engine? 2. Im all for a good service, but there must be some way of finding out if the oil pump has caused the problem before the decision is made to raise the engine? For eg, reading the oil pressure? If my pressure is fine, why replace the oil pump? I've had V8s (LS1, LT1) Volvo T5s running 20 psi of boost. Never ever have i needed to replace the oil pump. 3. I've read on another forum that an improved seal has been produced and distributed by BECK/ARNLEY. This one will last longer according to the thread. Should i opt for one of these instead of Toyota OEM? http://www.mkiv.com/tmp/front_crank_main_seal_new/ 4.As i think of it, my problems began during my oil change. Since we dont get Mobil in the right viscosity i had to go for the Castrol. Could this have had an impact on the leaking? 5. Since a lot of Supras sleep during the winter, is it possible for the seal to dry out since the engine isn't driven for several months? Should i start her up every now and then? A lot of questions, but your help is very valuable since Supras are a bit more rare in Sweden which also affect the level of know-how regarding these cars over here
  24. I need to replace the seal and oil pump. What's the use of having a sports car with lots of power if you can trust it to perform safely. But the work of replacing it... I'll probably let someone else do it. I tought this could be handled within a weekend. I'll let the local Toyota workshop do it. Anyway...thanks for your help! =)
